No Mbappé, no problem as Enrique completes PSG transformation with a bang
Discipline, long elusive at PSG, has become a hallmark. When Dembele was late to training ahead of a Champions League match at Arsenal, Luis Enrique left him out of the squad. PSG lost 2-0, but the coach's authority was affirmed. 'That was my best decision of the season,' he later said. And Dembele returned transformed into a formidable forward after years spent being a poster boy for unfulfilled potential. Saturday's final showcased everything Luis Enrique had instilled. PSG showed control, confidence and their high pressing proved too much to handle for Inter. The title ends a 14-year wait for Qatar Sports Investments, who bought the club in 2011 with the stated aim of dominating Europe. That dream is now reality — not with a galaxy of stars, but with a system built to last. Luis Enrique did not just win the Champions League. He reshaped Paris St Germain into something new and as he once claimed, something better. Reuters

Acornhoek City FC nurtures young talent
LIMPOPO – Acornhoek City Football Club, a new soccer development team, officially began training three months ago with the goal of grooming young, skilled players. Though founded in July last year, the team, also known as Majita Ya Style, started training in March under the leadership of Sipho Dzimba, founder and chairman of SD Mabaya FC. The club currently has 47 players across three age groups: u/13, u/15, and u/17. Training sessions are held at the Acornhoek Police Station sports field. On Saturday, May 24, all three teams travelled to Shatale near Bushbuckridge to play friendly matches against Mandela Warriors Football Club, part of their ongoing development programme that includes both intensive training and competitive play. Dzimba said that although he is also building players for his Kildare-based SD Mabaya FC, Acornhoek City will operate as an independent club. 'Our goal is to identify and develop talented youth from this region and give them exposure to professional opportunities, including scouts from major teams,' he said. 'We're grateful for the support from parents so far. It's been a busy and promising start.' He emphasised the need for local community and business support to ensure the club's growth and sustainability. 'It's inspiring to see boys as young as nine eager to showcase their talent,' Dzimba said. 'But to succeed, we urgently need gear, jerseys, cones, soccer balls, water bottles, and boots. We welcome any donations, sponsorships, or partnerships.' Dzimba's other team, SD Mabaya FC, competes in the Ximhungwe County League hosted by the Bushbuckridge Local Football Association. British media slams Sharks for ‘shameless gamesmanship'
Jaden Hendrikse's 'cramp' during Saturday's penalty shootout at Kings Park has been questioned after the Sharks scrumhalf winked at Munster flyhalf Jack Crowley. After slotting his second attempt of the shootout, from straight in front but further back than his first, Hendrikse yelled out from apparent pain and went down on the spot where where Crowley was set to kick his second. While lying on the ground, TV cameras caught Hendrikse winking at an infuriated Crowley, who nailed his kick before telling a Sharks staff member to 'f**k off' as they finally left the field. With Munster replacement Rory Scannell having missed his first attempt, Sharks sub Bradley Davids then secured a 6-4 shootout win for the hosts – and a Vodacom URC semi-final meeting with the Bulls at Loftus – by slotting his second. The Sharks, and Hendrikse in particular, were slammed by Munster fans on social media after the shootout, while Sharks fans were criticised for booing Munster's men as they lined up their kicks. MORE: Bradley showed huge BMT – Plum In its report, the UK Telegraph called it 'shameless gamesmanship' from the Sharks and said the quarter-final would always be 'remembered for actions of Sharks' Jaden Hendrikse'. Watch a video of Hendrikse here: Rugby needs heroes and villains and people talking about it.. so I actually wish that moment was even more high profile.
