Dubai Hosts Region's Top Radiology Event Focused on Emergency Care Innovation
Top radiology experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals convened in Dubai today for the 13th Pan-Arab Association of Radiological Societies (PAARS) Conference and the 9th Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of Emirates (RSE).
The three-day event, organised by Info Plus, is being held under the theme 'What Matters: Radiology in Emergencies.'
The conference features 16 scientific sessions, 69 expert-led lectures, 253 research presentations, five scientific workshops, and five industry seminars. It also includes hands-on training, keynotes, and interactive discussions aimed at advancing diagnostic and interventional radiology across the region.
Dr. Taleb Mohammed Al Mansoori, Head of the Emirates Radiology Division at the Emirates Medical Association, highlighted the importance of the annual meeting in pushing the boundaries of radiology in the UAE and the Arab world. 'Hosting it alongside PAARS enhances global collaboration, which is crucial for improving patient care and professional development,'
he said.
The programme also includes a preparatory session for the European School of Radiology (ESOR) conference, set for April 18.
This year's event brings together international speakers from major radiology societies and features cutting-edge research, case studies, and a showcase of the latest medical imaging technologies. It serves as a critical platform for knowledge exchange and cross-border cooperation in emergency radiology and patient care.

ZHO raises voices of special people at COSP18

It also conveyed a clear message to the world: empowerment only happens through partnership, and the future cannot be truly inclusive unless all people, in all their diversity, are at the centre of policies and programmes. During the session, the ZHO announced the launch of the International Journal of Disability and Rehabilitation Studies, a specialised research platform that enhances the scientific impact to serve People of Determination globally. Established in partnership with Rehabilitation International, the journal aims to promote impactful scientific research that makes a difference in the lives of People of Determination worldwide. In his recorded opening remarks, Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of the ZHO and Vice President of Rehabilitation International for the MENA Region, emphasised the importance of collective action to enhance inclusion across borders from the UAE to the world. He stated, 'Our participation in this event reflects the UAE's unwavering commitment to making inclusion and integration a sustainable approach that guarantees equal opportunities for People of Determination to participate, excel, and lead. Gulf Today Report Khaled Shawqi, the courageous truck driver who saved an entire neighborhood in 10th of Ramadan City from a potentially catastrophic explosion, has died from the severe burns he sustained during his heroic act. Shawqi had been receiving treatment in intensive care at Ahl Masr Hospital after suffering third-degree burns. UAQ Ruler receives Eid Al Adha well-wishers
Greetings His Highness Sheikh Saud received congratulations from sheikhs, senior officials and a large number of well-wishers who gathered to extend their blessings on the occasion.
