Looma Eagles smash Bidyadanga Emus in WKFLW round 6

The Looma Eagles bared their talons and proved too strong for the Bidyadanga Emus in round six of the West Kimberley Football League women's competition at the weekend.
The Eagles showed their might to dispose of the Emus 12.9 (81) to 2.3 (16) at Father McMahon Oval on Saturday afternoon.
They surged to the lead in the first quarter with four goals while the Emus struggling to find their feet, 4/4 (28) to 0.2 (2).
It was no better in the second term for the Emus who couldn't add to their score while the Eagles continued to rack up a strong lead, 5.6 (36) to 0.2 (2).
The Emus finally kicked their first goal of the match during the third term, but the Eagles had already well and truly secured the win by the three quarter time, 9.6 (60) to 1.3. (9).
The Emus tightened up their defence to prevent the Eagles from kicking another goal before the final siren and managed to kick one themselves, but it was too little too late in what eventuated as a 65-point loss.
Arnelle Bamba and Jyrene Hunter were the top goalkickers for the Bidyadanga Emus with one goal each.
In another clash on Saturday afternoon, Broome Towns were too good for Derby Tigers at Derby Oval.
The Tigers jumped to an early lead in the first term kicking two goals while Towns struggled to get on the scoreboard with just a behind, 2.1 (13) to 0.1 (1).
However, Towns struck back in the second term racking up three goals to take the lead while Tigers scored just one, 3.3 (21) to 2.1 (13).
Towns defence tightened up to block all Tigers' attempts at goal while kicking another two themselves to gain a substantial lead going into the final term, 5.7 (37) to 3.2 (20).
Tigers pulled out all the stops in the final term to kick another two goals, but Towns managed to slot a final goal to maintain their lead and take the win, 6.12 (48) to 5.2 (32).
Despite the loss, Tigers' Gabriella Radojkovich was the top goal kicker for the match with five goals.
Earlier that day Cable Beach destroyed the Peninsula Bombers on Father McMahon Oval.
Cable Beach jumped to the lead in the first term kicking two goals while the Bombers struggled to get up on the board, kicking just one behind, 2.2 (14) to 0.12 (1).
The Bombers continued to struggle in the second term kicking just one goal while Cable Beach continued to surge, kicking three of their own, 5.5 (35) to 1.1 (7).
For the remainder of the match the Bombers failed to add to their score while Cable Beach had no trouble sinking goal after goal leading to an impressive victory, 7.8 (50) to 1.1 (7).
Cable Beach's Sienna Carstairs and Katherine Dann tied for the top goalkicker for the match with two goals each.
The Broome Saints and Broome Bulls had a bye this week.
