The long-awaited
Diddy trial
has reached its climax. After weeks of testimony and shocking revelations, the jury is about to make its decision. After a month of tense proceedings, the
Diddy
federal crime trial is coming to an end. The jury will soon deliberate, and the world awaits a decision that could change the music mogul's legacy.
What do the final arguments focus on?
Sean "Diddy" Combs's historic criminal trial is coming to an end, and his legal future is in jeopardy. He was arrested in September and accused of transporting people to engage in prostitution, trafficking, and racketeering. He entered a not guilty plea.
Prosecutors rested their case in the broad federal crimes proceeding on June 24 following more than a month of shocking testimony from a number of people in Combs' personal and professional circle, including rap peer Kid Cudi, Danity Kane alum Dawn Richard, and ex-girlfriends Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine and "Jane,' as per a report by USA Today.

During their last round of arguments, U.S. government lawyers focused on graphic evidence from Combs' alleged "freak off" parties, including financial records, text messages, and video footage. The prosecution portrayed Combs and his staff as personally involved in planning the extravagant acts, collaborating with escorts, Combs' partners, and others.
Live Events
In less than 30 minutes, Combs' lawyers concluded their case, and the defense chose not to call any witnesses. Combs' and Ventura Fine's romantic, and sometimes explicit, texts were the primary subject of their arguments.
The Grammy-winning rapper informed the court that he would not be testifying, despite the fact that Combs' alleged abuse is at the heart of the trial. When Judge Arun Subramanian asked Marc Agnifilo, Combs' lead attorney, if he had spoken with his client regarding his right to testify, Agnifilo replied that they had a lengthy conversation about it.
Will Diddy speak in his own defense?
Diddy claims he has no desire to testify in court. One of the few times Combs spoke aloud during his weeks-long trial, the troubled rapper verbally stated on June 24 that he did not want to take the stand.
In a brief conversation with the judge, Combs said he was doing "great" and that he believed the judge was handling the trial effectively. The rapper told his legal team that he "thoroughly" considered his "solely my decision" to not testify.
When will the jury decide?
On Wednesday, June 25, prosecutors and Combs' lawyers will meet with Judge Subramanian to discuss jury instructions in relation to jury deliberations. The discussion won't take place with jurors present.
Combs' criminal case has not yet resulted in a verdict. Prosecutors' and Combs' lawyers' presentations concluded on June 24. The trial will now move into closing arguments before the jury begins deliberating.
It is anticipated that closing arguments will start on Thursday, June 26 and continue into the next day. According to defense lawyer Teny Geragos, both the defense and the prosecution anticipate their arguments will take four hours each.

According to sources who spoke to the publication, Diddy's defense team 'may invoke the recent conflict' in their final argument, notably targeting the Homeland Security Investigators who conducted a raid on his house in the Holmby Hills district of Los Angeles in March.
