A Scots man has become a millionaire after scooping £1,000,000 in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the mysterious millionaire, saying: 'Wow - it is absolutely incredible how this lucky man from Lanarkshire has become a millionaire overnight. What a life-changing moment for him when he realised he is now £1M richer!
'We can tell how much this win means this EuroMillions player, and it sounds like he is really going to treat his family to it's a celebration all round! Huge Congratulations!'

Last month, in a separate lottery win, we reported another Scots Euromillions winner who scooped a hefty £148 million had divorced her second husband after spending an eye-watering £5million on him in seven years. Multi-millionaire mum Gillian Bayford, 52, gifted Brian Deans cars, watches and spending money.

However, she reportedly insisted the 43-year-old convicted fraudster must sign a pre-nuptial agreement to stop him from taking off with a chunk of her fortune. As reported by the Sun, documents revealed their marriage came to an end in the month previous with Brian's pals claiming he ended up with none of her winnings.
One friend said: "She reckons she's so much better off than she was when she was with him. Now the divorce is final she's starting all over again and is delighted with how everything has worked out."

It's understood Gillian has shared her recent life updates on social media. She scooped £148 million with her first husband Adrian Bayford in 2012. The pair split up after the win exposed rifts in their relationship and she left Suffolk for her native Scotland, taking her £74 million with her.
She ended up in a relationship with Brian and the pair tied the knot in St Andrews in 2018. The pair have a daughter together but insiders claimed the marriage started to fall apart after he spent millions.
The outlet reported pals said she gave Brian, who currently runs a pub in Auchterarder, Perthshire, a monthly allowance but that he argued it was not enough.
It's understood she eventually kicked him out in March last year with the pre-nup meaning he could not get any of her money.
Documents revealed his house is held in a trust and, therefore, is not able to sell it. A pal told the outlet: "I'm not sure how happy Brian is with how it's all turned out. He's signed everything away and more or less walked away with nothing."

Single lucky Lotto player scoops huge £4,000,000 jackpot

One lucky Lotto player has won the £4 million jackpot in tonight's draw. The winning numbers from Saturday's draw were 11, 17, 27, 30, 39 and 46 while the bonus number was 56. Players have been urged to check their tickets and call in to claim the top prize, with the jackpot winner matching all six main numbers to take the £4,003,513 sum. Wednesday's jackpot will be an estimated £2 million. Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at The National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: 'Amazing news for our lucky Lotto players, as one ticket-holder has won tonight's £4 million jackpot. 'Luck is clearly in the air, as this is the second Lotto jackpot win in a week, after a single ticket-holder bagged last Saturday's (May 31) £3.9 million jackpot.' No players matched all five numbers in Lotto HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw. Twelve players won £13,000 each after they managed to match four numbers. The winning Thunderball numbers were 01, 05, 13, 17 and 39 while the Thunderball was 08. No-one matched all five numbers plus the Thunderball to scoop the £500,000 top prize, but one ticket holder matched all five regular numbers to win £5,000. People who play the EuroMillions are looking forward to a chance to win the biggest jackpot the UK has ever seen. Tuesday's jackpot has rolled over to a massive £208million after nobody claimed the top prize on Friday. If a lucky single ticket holder manages to win, June 10, they will instantly become richer than megastars Dua Lipa and Adele. EastEnders legend reels as she finds explicit video on fiancé's laptop

EastEnders' Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) recent discovery of an explicit video on partner Alfie Moon's (Shane Richie) laptop casts a huge shadow over their forthcoming wedding next week. The pair are set to tie the knot for the third time after Alfie popped the question earlier this week. However, Kat was soon shaken when she found the adult content on Alfie's computer, not realising their teenage son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) had purchased it. In scenes to air on the BBC soap next week, Kat confides in Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) of her fears that Alfie has turned to porn as things have been quiet in the bedroom since his treatment for prostate cancer. Later, Kat plans to seduce Alfie, but he is taken aback, and his attempts to slow things down cause a hurt Kat to storm out. After Kat and Alfie seek advice from Jean and Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) respectively, the couple finally have an honest conversation about where they stand. But when Kat mentions the explicit video on Alfie's laptop, he's confused until he works out that it was Tommy who was watching it. Despite getting to the bottom of the matter, their discovery still puts their nuptials under threat as their concerns about Tommy deepen. The troubled teen has only recently returned home after being placed in foster care when his physical abuse of Kat came to the attention of social services last year. Unbeknown to Kat and Alfie, he is also being led astray by new friend Joel Marshall (Max Murray), who is central to a new incel storyline. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers?
