I believe that General Hospital's Lulu is going to end up hurting everyone

Sometimes I wonder how General Hospital's Lulu (Alexa Havins Bruening) managed to be in a coma for four years when the girl can't stay still for a second. She's always trying to ferret out secrets and get into everyone's business. And she doesn't seem to learn that her behavior gets the people closest to her hurt, both physically and emotionally.
She almost got Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) killed when she went running to Prague, and Charlotte is still in danger because of Lulu's inability to stop herself from dashing off like a puppy the minute she finds something out.
Now she's on the verge of blowing up Brook Lynn's (Amanda Setton) life by revealing her teenage pregnancy. And she's going to hurt everyone, especially Gio (Giovanni Mazza), just so she can try to get closer to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).
After finding the notes Martin (Michael E. Knight) took during his meeting with Lois (Rena Sofar), ones Lulu had no right to look at, Lulu ran immediately to Cody (Josh Kelly) and started smoothly quizzing him over a couple of beers. Cody, who can't keep his mouth shut even when he's not drinking, confirmed everything to Lulu. So now that Lulu has confirmation that Brook Lynn had Dante's baby, she's going to make sure that Dante knows he has another child, no matter how much Lois wants to keep it secret.
I'm sure Tracy (Jane Elliot) will be thrilled to find out Gio is actually a Quartermaine so she can continue housing all of the next generation under the Quartermaine mansion roof like she's the little old woman from the fairy tale who lived in a shoe with her dozens of children. But when the news comes out it's going to hurt Gio, and he doesn't deserve that. Lulu doesn't have the right to upend his entire world and sense of self just to try and get closer to Dante.
When Lulu reveals to everyone that Gio is Dante and Brook Lynn's son, it's likely to upset everyone, but it will have the biggest effect on Gio. Gio is a good kid who grew up in a large loving family believing that his mom and his dad had a wartime marriage and his dad was killed. When he finds out that his life has been essentially a lie, it will rock his world.
He will find out that in addition to his mom and dad not being who he thought they were, he has a new family, that he's so far just thought of as friends. That includes grandparents, a great-grandma in Tracy, a half-brother, cousins and uncles and aunts.
Trying to process that he is adopted and that people he already is close with are his biological family is a huge amount of turmoil to put a young man through. Even though Gio is pretty well-adjusted, it would be normal for him to struggle with this huge bomb that's going to get dropped in his life.
Lulu is no doubt going to insist that Dante has a right to know that Gio is his son and offer to help him process this huge news hoping it will bring them closer together. The awkwardness that's hung between them because of Sam's (Kelly Monaco) sacrifice for Lulu is something that Lulu desperately wants to get rid of because she's still in love with him.
But telling Dante that he's Gio's father may not have the impact that she wants. When Dante finds out, he's going to immediately want to bond with Brook Lynn over the news they're parents of a shared child. Dante is going to spend a lot of time trying to adjust to the news, getting to know Gio more, and figuring out what comes next for all of them.
It may just push Dante even further away from Lulu because he will find the sense of security and family connection he's been missing without Sam in his newly revealed son and in a closer relationship with the Quartermaines. And with Sonny (Maurice Benard) too, since Gio is Sonny's grandson.
Also, Brook Lynn is probably not going to be too happy. She and Lulu already have a rocky relationship, so Lulu may end up losing her job at Deception and becoming pretty unpopular around the Quartermain mansion.

Gibson brings back its wild Les Paul acoustic hybrid for the first time in more than 20 years

There's no doubt that the Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic electric guitars ever produced, but does it work as an acoustic guitar? That's a question Gibson is clearly keen to answer with the launch of the Les Paul Parlor. It's likely to divide fans (similar to how Fender's Acoustasonic range split opinion) but it's certainly an interesting concept. Gibson is approaching cautiously here. Unlike its previous Les Paul acoustic iterations – which came in 1969 and 2000 for three and four-year runs, respectively – the body shape is a lot smaller this time around. Featuring a parlor-sized body 'reminiscent of a scaled-down SJ-200', its compactness may just sway those on the fence about this hybrid aesthetic. Taking tonewood cues from the source material, its back and sides are crafted with solid mahogany, and there's a AAA flame maple top for 'a bit of bite and note definition to the warm tone from the mahogany body'. The bookmatched top also benefits from traditional scalloped X-bracing with single-ply cream binding found all over to ensure the Les Paul's legendary chic carries across. Mahogany is also employed for the neck, which has a notable Advanced Response profile. Expect a neck that's not 'too beefy nor too slim', while its 12"-radius, 19-fret fingerboard is made from rosewood. Pearloid trapezoid inlays harmonize with the guitar's cream binding (and continues the LP vibe, naturally) and the neck attaches to the body with a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. Rosewood returns for the bridge, which is installed in a belly-down orientation. TUSQ is the material of choice for its nut and saddle, and its Grover Rotomatic tuners are nickel-plated. Another hint of the parlor's electric lineage comes via the mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and gold Les Paul Model decal on the headstock. And, seeing as it's part of the LP family, it would be remiss not to saddle this thing up with some pickups. An L.R. Baggs VTC +4 under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp are the electronics of choice here. As the system's name implies, this model has an output 4dB hotter than the standard VTC system. Still, we can't imagine this guitar is going to be hooked up to a Marshall stack. There are two finish options available, Vintage Sunburst and Vintage Cherry Sunburst, and both are available as left-handed models too. The Gibson Les Paul Parlor is priced at $3,999 and comes with a hardshell case. Head to Gibson to oggle it some more. Gibson has been evolving its acoustic range in 2025, with top picks including a new Acoustic Specials series that brings its most beloved (and expensive) designs to lower price points, a downsized, single-cut take on the SJ-200 via the Parlor Rosewood EC, and a signature, twist-laden take on the J-45 for Margo Price.

On today's General Hospital recap: Cody is interested in Kristina's job offer and she tells him that she wants him to seduce Ava. Cody questions the plan, and Kristina says she wants him to come between Ava and Ric. She wants Ric to see how horrible Ava is. Kristina claims she's looking out for Molly because she's horrified Ric is dating Ava. She says Molly hates Ava as much because of the baby and Cody would be doing a good thing. Kristina says she can make it worth his while. Cody doesn't want to get mixed up with Ava but Kristina pushes. He says he wants money up front and won't tell Ava and Ric. Cody agrees to assess the situation and Kristina hands him the sunglasses Ava forgot by the pool. Trina talks to Ava about Kai and how he's getting close to Drew. Ava warns her to be careful around Drew. Trina says she knows what Drew is capable of but she's playing nice for Kai's sake. Trina talks about Marshall's visit and how things seem weird between Portia and Curtis. Ava says it's normal for relationships to have ups and downs and Trina figures maybe she's making a big deal of nothing. Talk turns to Ric and Ava admits they have something going on. Martin's back in town and Laura is thrilled to see him but he says he's been in jail. He says his ex-wives have stripped him of his assets and he's now broke. Martin can't afford his room at the Metro Court and asks to move in with her and Kevin for a while, which Laura agrees to. Martin blames Tracy and has revenge on the brain but Laura says Tracy's dealing with her own issues and warns him not to break any laws. Kai apologizes to Portia about talking so much about Drew and doesn't understand why Drew doesn't get along with Portia and her family. Portia says it's a family matter and doesn't want to sway Kai's judgement of Drew. She explains how Drew and Curtis were besties until Drew changed, after he was attacked in Pentonville. She says now Drew is willing to use any of them to get what he wants. Kai understands but doesn't want to turn his back on Drew, who has only helped him. Portia says they trusted Drew and he ended up hurting them Brook Lynn tells Tracy she kicked Lois and Gloria out of the house and complains about them both. Tracy says she's free of the Cerullo women. Brook Lynn says she should have gone looking for her son the minute Lulu got the information from Martin. Tracy points out Gio could still be as angry, but Brook Lynn feels he would have known she wanted to find him. She blames Lulu as much if not more than her mother and grandmother. Tracy wonders if she's going after Lulu and Brook Lynn says she should be held accountable. Brook Lynn thinks she should be more like Tracy and give no effs but Tracy says she's surrounded by good people. Tracy warns her to think hard before turning to revenge but Brook Lynn says she has to do what's right. Lucky gives Isaiah a deed for a cabin on the lake and tells him that he's leaving town. Lucky says Isaiah saved Lulu but he counters Lucky dragged him back to the work he loves. Later, Lucky tells Laura he's leaving. At the courthouse, Willow testifies this hearing is about her relationship with Drew and not her fitness as a parent. She asks why she has to choose. Diane asks about the affair and Willow says they just happened to fall in love. Willow says her affair has nothing to do with her children, but Diane brings up the sex on the playroom floor. Diane says the kids could have come in at any time and seen them having sex. She asks about Willow barring access to Michael when he was at the hospital. Willow says Drew helped her see it was the only way to get her kids from the Quartermaines. Diane brings up the trip to DC and Willow says she didn't think Michael would mind. Willow testifies Michael abandoned the kids by going to Germany for treatment. Diane asks about moving the kids in with Drew and Willow says the kids loved it. Diane pushes, and Willow admits the kids have asked to move back home. Ric asks about shared custody and Willow says she thought they could do it but Michael told her today he won't agree to joint custody, so she has to petition for full custody. Willow claims she regrets how her marriage ended but says it was over long before she fell in love with Drew. Willow testifies she was the primary caregiver while Michael was away, and Drew was helpful. She says the kids belong with her. The judge says she'll make a decision and let them know when she's reached a verdict. Michael questions Carly on why no one at the clinic told him Willow was there to see him. Willow thanks Nina for her support and is certain Drew didn't say anything negative to Wylie. Drew tells Ric he's glad he said what he did to Wylie because it should guarantee there is no compromise between Michael and Willow. He believes Willow will get full custody. 'Extraordinary' sarcophagus discovered in Israel shows carving of Dionysus beating Hercules in a drinking contest

A 1,700-year-old Roman sarcophagus depicting a legendary drinking contest has been discovered in Israel, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced Monday (June 9). Archaeologists uncovered the artifact, which dates back to the second or third century A.D., near the ancient city of Caesarea along the country's northwest coast. The carved marble depicts a drinking contest between the demigod Hercules and Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and parties, who is equivalent to Bacchus in the Roman pantheon. Though similar scenes appear in mosaics from the same period, the find marks the first appearance of this particular story on a sarcophagus from the region. "This sarcophagus is an extraordinary work of art," Mark Avrahami, head of artistic conservation at the IAA, said in a translated video. "There are not many sarcophagi like this, even in the world." The 1,700-year-old sarcophagus was buried beneath a sand dune and fractured into pieces when archaeologists uncovered it as part of a series of excavations of the city. After the pieces were excavated, conservators cleaned and reassembled the parts to reveal the full scene. One unbroken side of the marble coffin shows Hercules depicted lying on a lion skin. "He's at the end of the contest holding a cup of wine in his hand, and of course he's in this position because in the contest Dionysus, the god of wine — whom no one can defeat — emerged victorious," Nohar Shahar, an archaeologist with the IAA, said in the video. Dionysus is shown as part of a joyful procession, surrounded by satyrs, female followers and Pan, the god of the wild. "In this case, it seems that the figures are not only celebrating — they are in fact accompanying the dead on his last journey, when drinking and dancing are transformed into a symbol of liberation and transition to life in the next world," Shahar said in a statement. These discoveries suggest that Caesarea wasn't only confined to within its walls, and that the surrounding area was more densely populated and rich in artifacts than archaeologists previously thought, Shahar said in the video. "This is a thought-provoking discovery reflecting how life and faith were perceived in the Roman world," IAA director-general Eli Escusido said in the statement. The sarcophagus is undergoing thorough conservation before being made available for public viewing.
