Akash was killed last Friday.
Police said their rivalry started during Chhath last year when Rajveer and Mohit, another accused in the case, tried to snatch a mobile phone from Akash. Akash lodged a police complaint in this regard, after which they were said to have become sworn enemies. Though some people tried to mediate between them and settle the matter, Rajveer and Mohit allegedly held a grudge against Akash. Both of them also reportedly had several arguments with Akash earlier.
Akash, who was also booked in a murder case, was attacked with sharp-edged weapons allegedly by Mohit alias Munshi, Rajbir and two others. They allegedly killed Akash and took away his motorcycle.
Mandeep Singh, incharge of Sector 26 crime branch here, said the search for the other accused is on. Raids are being conducted to recover the knife used in the murder.

Man arrested, 670 e-cigarettes worth Rs 21 lakh seized

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner's Task Force, Central Zone Team, along with Saifabad Police apprehended a 28-year-old man involved in the illegal sale of banned electronic cigarettes and seized 670 e-cigarettes worth Rs 21 lakh from his possession. The police raided a flat located in Prinstancode Apartments, Adarsh Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Saifabad Police Station. During the operation, Akash Sinde was arrested and e-cigarettes of various brands such as Elfbar, Elux, Raya D1, Nasty, and Shisha were seized. According to police, Akash, originally a resident of Mangalhat, was employed as a caretaker by one Vishesh Agarwal at Prinstancode Apartments, located opposite Grand Bazar, Adarsh Nagar, on a monthly salary basis. Task Force DCP YVS Sudheendra said that in pursuit of easy and illegal profits, Akash began procuring banned e-cigarettes at low cost from Delhi through a network of agents. He then transported them to Hyderabad, stored them at the said premises, and sold them clandestinely to known and needy customers, primarily targeting college students, teenagers, and youth. Electronic cigarettes contain Nicotine and harmful chemical-laced flavors, making them highly addictive and injurious to health. The easy availability and appeal of these products are leading to increased consumption among the younger demographic. The accused, along with the seized material, has been handed over to the Saifabad Police for further legal action.

One Killed, 3 Injured As Innova Driver Opens Door At 100 KMPH To Spit Tobacco In Chhattisgarh

Last Updated: The horrific crash was captured on CCTV, showing the vehicle flipping down the road and a passenger being thrown out and violently hitting a pole. A reckless Innova driver sped at over 100 kmph and opened the door to spit tobacco, causing the vehicle to flip and crash, resulting in one businessman's death and critically injuring two others in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, on Monday. The Innova went somersaulting down the road, hitting two vehicles and injuring one of their drivers. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Jackie Gehi, 31, a cloth merchant from Chakarbhatha on the outskirts of Bilaspur, 100km from Raipur. He had gone to a late-night party on Sunday and called a friend, Akash Chandani, around 1.30 am to pick him up. Akash arrived with another friend, Pankaj Chhabra, in an Innova. Akash was driving, Pankaj sat in the front passenger seat, and Jackie was in the back. Akash suddenly opened the door while driving to spit tobacco (gutkha) on the Bilaspur-Raipur highway. He instantly lost control of the vehicle, which swerved into the divider and overturned multiple times. The impact ejected all three occupants from the vehicle, which continued down the highway. Jackie was violently thrown and collided with a metal structure near the divider, suffering fatal chest, head, and shoulder injuries. He died on the spot. Akash and Pankaj were also ejected and slammed into the ground, suffering grievous injuries. The out-of-control Innova crashed into a parked commercial vehicle, flipped four to five times, and then slammed into a parked Ertiga, injuring its driver, who hadn't even started the engine or had time to react. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene after passersby alerted authorities. Police cordoned off the area, rushed the injured to the hospital, and later cleared the wreckage from the road.
