
Adani Airports clinches USD 750 mn global financing to power next phase of growth
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], June 4 (ANI): Adani Airports has raised USD 750 million via External Commercial Borrowings (ECB) from a consortium of international banks, says the company in a statement on Wednesday. The transaction was led by First Abu Dhabi Bank, Barclays PLC, and Standard Chartered Bank.
The proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt, invest in infrastructure upgrades, and capacity expansion across the six airports operated by the group viz. Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The non-aeronautical businesses like Retail, F&B, Duty Free and services across the airport network will be scaled up.
As per the company, Adani Airports has served 94 million passengers in FY 2024-25 with an overall capacity of 110 million passengers, further, it aims to triple capacity to 300 million passengers per annum by 2040 through phased development.
As part of this roadmap, the Navi Mumbai International Airport is expected to be operational shortly, adding 20 million passengers in the first phase, with capacity expanding up to 90 million annually in a phased manner, significantly boosting the Mumbai region's aviation infrastructure.

Adani Airports was incorporated in 2019 as a 100 per cent subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, the flagship company of the Adani Group.
In line with its vision to be the global leader in integrated infrastructure and transport logistics, the Adani Group made its maiden venture into the airports sector by emerging as the highest bidder for the operation, management, and development of the above mentioned six airports and have signed concession agreements with the Airports Authority of India to develop all six airports. Gujarat: CM Patel grants approval for projects worth over Rs. 1,700 cr in six municipal corporations
Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], June 6 (ANI): Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has adopted a significant approach to enhancing urban welfare with better facilities during the Urban Development Year 2025, which the State Government is celebrating. In this regard, the Chief Minister has granted in-principle approval for works worth over Rs. 1700.57 crore in a single day for various development projects in 6 newly formed municipal corporations, 5 municipalities, and the Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar Municipal Corporations. During his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated effective and planned urban management with the celebration of Urban Development Year in 2005. Through his foresight, urbanization was embraced as a unique opportunity for development. This vision, coupled with public participation, led to the development of beautiful, clean, and dynamic cities, consequently establishing the state's urban centres as well-planned, developed cities. Inspired by the Prime Minister, the state's two-decade-long successful urban development journey is now being further advanced under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. To guide urban transformation and empower citizens effectively, the year 2025 is being celebrated as the Urban Development Year. On May 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the celebration of this Urban Development Year and gave a vision to make cities dynamic centers of economic activity. To realise that vision, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, gave in-principle approval for works worth over Rs. 1700.57 crore. From the total amount approved by the Chief Minister for development works, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will receive Rs. 546 crore, Gandhinagar Rs. 32 crore, and among the newly formed municipal corporations: Anand Rs. 148 crore, Morbi Rs. 270.08 crore, Surendranagar Rs. 257.60 crore, Nadiad Rs. 71.91 crore, Vapi Rs. 251.91 crore, and Navsari Rs. 90.35 crore. Additionally, Vadnagar municipality will receive Rs. 16.37 crore, Himmatnagar Rs. 7.33 crore, Siddhpur Rs. 3.74 crore, Halvad Rs. 4.02 crore, and Bharuch municipality will receive Rs. 85.52 lakh for development works. The Chief Minister has approved Rs. 676.28 crore for a total of 247 inter-structural facility works in six newly formed municipal corporations, including streetlights, solar facilities, city beautification, development of public gardens, drainage, traffic circles, rainwater harvesting, stormwater drainage lines, city civic centers, fire equipment, etc. Under the Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Sadak Yojana, the Chief Minister has given in-principle approval for works worth Rs. 652.78 crore for road renovation, resurfacing, white topping, and repair of roads wider than 60 feet in Anand, Surendranagar, Vapi, and Morbi municipal corporations, as well as Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar municipal corporations. Furthermore, under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, the Chief Minister has approved works worth Rs. 191.91 crore for essential infrastructure, such as filter plant repairs, roads, gutters, storm drains, and water facilities for the Surendranagar, Vapi, and Anand municipal corporations. He has also approved Rs. 31 crore for the construction of iconic roads in Anand and Surendranagar municipal corporations and sanctioned works worth Rs. 85.52 lakh for standard plot paver block works under the Private Society Public Participation Scheme (Khangi Society Jan Bhagidari Yojana) in societies within Bharuch municipality. To provide easy access to drinking water in newly included areas of towns and cities, the Chief Minister has approved a total of Rs. 67.35 crore from the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana for water supply works in Himmatnagar and Siddhpur municipalities and Morbi municipal corporation. In addition, Morbi and Vapi municipal corporations and Halvad municipality have been sanctioned works worth a combined total of Rs. 64.02 crore for works such as drinking water lines, underground gutters, asphalt roads, CC roads, and fire station construction in outgrowth areas. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has stated that the amount allocated for the development of urban welfare works will add new momentum to the urban development of the state in the coming days, enabling citizens to realise the goal of 'earning well - living well' through the planned development of cities and urban areas. IFFCO MD meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Stellar Performance by IFFCO in FY 2024-25, Sales of Nano Fertilizers Increased by 47 per cent. IFFCO booked a profit of Rs. 3,811 Crores as PBT, a continuing trend from past three financial years. Also, sales of Nano-fertilizers saw a Year-on-Year increase of 47 per cent, with IFFCO Nano DAP showcasing the best growth results with 118 per cent increase in YoY sales. The IFFCO will soon launch Nano Zinc, Nano Copper in liquid form with 100ml bottle and Nano NPK fertiliser which will be in Granular form for soil application in basal dose. Sales of Sagarika, WSF, Specialty and Bio-fertilisers have also increased. IFFCO is set to build a state-of-the-art Seed Innovation Centre at Kalol unit. IFFCO is ranked world's no.1 cooperative (with respect to ratio towards contribution to GDP) according to World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) Report published by EURCISE and International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), the premier international cooperative body. IFFCO has a pan-India presence, supported by a vast network of over 35,600 cooperative societies as its members. With more than 500 field offices spread across 21 states, IFFCO serves and supports over five crore farmers across the country. The organisation also has a strong global footprint with presence in four countries. IFFCO have in total 10 manufacturing units. It is a matter of pride for the cooperatives as, Udai Shanker Awasthi, MD, IFFCO was bestowed with 'Rochdale Pioneers Award' 2024 during ICA 2024 Conference last year in New Delhi. MCD receives Rs 820 crore as tax grant, Rs 50.78 crore for Delhi landfill biomining
New Delhi [India] June 6 (ANI): Municipal Corporation of Delhi has received Rs 820 crore from the Delhi government under the first instalment of Basic Tax Assignment for the financial year 2025-26. This substantial allocation, in accordance with the recommendations of the Fifth Delhi Finance Commission (DFC), will play a vital role in strengthening the Corporation's financial position and supporting various public services across the capital. The allocation is 6 per cent of the Delhi government's net tax collection, as per the recommendation of the 5th DFC. The amount is an untied grant from the Delhi government, which can be utilised for any kind of expenditure, unlike tied grants, which are work-specific and linked to a sector. This timely release of funds to MCD will help in liquidating its liabilities, and the corporation remains committed to utilising these funds efficiently and transparently for the welfare of the citizens of Delhi. Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh thanked Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for providing MCD with financial assistance of over Rs 870 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh said the funding would improve public infrastructure, waste management, and local governance in the Capital. The Mayor stated, 'I assure all councillors and representatives that there will be no shortage of funds for public welfare and the BJP-ruled government in MCD will make Delhi, cleaner, greener and most developed city. The Delhi Government has also released funds to the tune of Rs 50.78 crore for biomining activities at three landfills sites in Delhi after revalidation of the unspent amount of the previous financial year. This release amount will help in the speedy activity of bio mining at these sites and facilitate in reduction in mounds of garbage. The particulars of funds released are as Okhla Landfill site Rs 20.25 crore, Bhalswa Landfill site Rs 20.75 crore and Ghazipur Landfill site Rs 9.77 crore. The Municipal Corporation reiterates its dedication to ensuring high standards of urban governance and improving the quality of life for residents in all wards under its jurisdiction. (ANI)
