Oman intensifies efforts to ensure safe return of citizens amid regional tensions
Muscat: In light of ongoing regional developments, the Sultanate of Oman continues to intensify efforts to secure the safe return of its citizens from areas affected by escalating tensions.
Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to providing round-the-clock assistance to Omani citizens wishing to return home. He noted that the ministry has allocated dedicated communication lines for citizens in both Muscat and Tehran according to their geographic location, in addition to providing support via the ministry's official app and WhatsApp platform.
The minister's remarks came within the framework of continued consultations with his counterparts in brotherly and friendly countries regarding the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its grave security repercussions on the regional scene.
In a statement, Sayyid Badr stressed the importance of intensifying diplomatic and political pressure at the international level to end this unlawful and irresponsible aggression, and to uphold the principles of international law in support of peace, security and stability.

'Nothing left': Israelis grapple with damage from Iran strike
Bat Yam: A shocked Julia Zilbergoltz said she had never experienced anything like the Iranian missile strike that hit her home in central Israel early Sunday. "I'm stressed and in shock. I've been through hard times in my life, but I've never been in a situation like this," Zilbergoltz told AFP, as she gathered her belongings and left her apartment building in Bat Yam, near the coastal city of Tel Aviv. In Bat Yam, Mayor Tzvika Brot said in a Facebook post that the missile had caused "great destruction and damage to dozens of buildings". In addition to the deaths, Brot said that more than 100 people were injured and others remained trapped under the rubble. "Teams from the Home Front Command have been working here for several hours now, and will remain here until they find them," he said.
