Sheffield United pay incredible tribute to late George Baldock during play-off clash after tragic death aged just 31
SHEFFIELD UNITED paid an emotional tribute to late club legend George Baldock after the club booked their place in the play-off final.
Baldock's name echoed around Bramall Lane after the Blades saw off a 6-0 aggregate win over Bristol City.

Baldock was found dead at his home in Athens in October 2024 after joining Greek team Panathinaikos FC last summer.
The right wing-back drowned in his swimming pool before medics failed to resuscitate him.
And after booking their place at Wembley on May 24, Baldock's former club organised a touching tribute in his honour.
All sections of the ground rose to sing "Star Man" in unison, which was a chant created about Baldock to the tune of David Bowe's iconic song during his playing days.
And Chris Wilder 's side paraded the Greek flag around the pitch at full-time to pay their own tribute.
The flag had "Star Man" and Baldock's shirt number, which was No2, written in bold.
Before kick-off a huge Tifo was placed over the home section with Baldock's picture alongside with the words: "Once a Blade, always a Blade."
And former Everton star Tom Davies was spotted walking with the Greek flag draped around him.

The Blades will face either Sunderland or Coventry in two weeks time.
Baldock made more than 400 appearances in English football and spent seven seasons at Bramall Lane last summer.
He made 219 appearances in all competitions for the Blades, helping them to promotion to the Premier League in 2019 - and again in 2023.
Baldock was found unresponsive in his pool after his partner, who was in the UK, reportedly raised the alarm because he was not answering his phone.
Paying tribute, his family said: "You were the most special father, fiancé, son, brother, uncle, friend, teammate and person.
'Your enthusiasm and infectious personality brought so much love to those that were fortunate enough to know you and those that adored you from the stands."

Call for football supporters' trusts to be recognised by law
A football supporters' trust leading a drive for fans to "play a meaningful part in decision making at their clubs" has been backed by a national campaign Game has joined a coalition of 22 fan groups, led by Northampton Town Supporters Trust who are calling on the government to ensure "the unique status of trusts to be recognised and enshrined in law" as part of its Trusts First Couper, CEO of Fair Game, said the campaign was "about giving those communities a real voice in the game they love"The Department of Culture, Media and Sport has been approached for comment. The coalition of clubs, from all levels of the English game, intends to lobby government to "guarantee primacy for Trusts and other democratically-constituted supporter groups" in the forthcoming Football Governance legislation, which is passing through parliament after being reintroduced by the Labour government in October, will hand power to a body independent from government and football authorities to oversee clubs in England's top five Trusts First group includes supporters' trusts from Barnsley, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers, Exeter City, Fulham, Leicester City, Leyton Orient, Manchester United, Morecambe, Northampton Town, Plymouth Argyle, Reading, Scunthorpe United, Southend United, Swansea City, Swindon Town, Torquay United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Cambridge runner breaks Guinness World Record after heart surgery
A runner who had open heart surgery has broken a Guinness World Hunt, from Cambridge, ran the Stevenage marathon in three hours and six publishers of the famous record book have confirmed that Mr Hunt has completed the marathon in the fastest-ever time for a person with an artificial heart beat the previous record by 45 minutes. Alex Hunt, who is 37, had a bicuspid aortic valve put in his aortic valve allows blood to flow into the aorta without flowing back into the ventricle, but Mr Hunt's valve had only two flaps instead of the usual left untreated, the condition could lead to heart that he might not have lived long enough to see his daughters grow up, he underwent open heart surgery three years ago at Royal Papworth Hospital to have an artificial valve fitted. He ran the Stevenage Marathon three years ago and said it was one of the toughest physical challenges he had ever taken on, with winds of up to 40 mph and some "soul-destroying climbs".After waiting for verification, he has now received official confirmation that he holds the world said: "Before the operation, I was a keen runner."Thanks to the amazing staff and treatment I received at Royal Papworth Hospital, I can return to my love of running and am delighted to have broken the world record at the same time." Steven Tsui, a consultant in cardiothoracic surgery at Papworth, said: "Alex breaking the world record is testament to his strength and determination to get back on his feet after a major operation."Mr Hunt raised more than £1,700 for the Royal Papworth Charity by running the marathon.
