New Zealand announce schedule for their upcoming home fixtures
New Delhi [India] June 25 (ANI): New Zealand have announced their schedule for the upcoming home summer, with a whopping five teams visiting for 46 days of international cricket, according to the ICC website.
The three-match ICC World Test Championship series against the West Indies in December highlights the schedule release, but the Black Caps will also host trans-Tasman rivals Australia and England in white-ball series prior to taking on the Caribbean side across all formats.
The team will then host South Africa in a five-game T20I series in March, just outside the expected slot for the next edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, while New Zealand's women's side also hosts the Proteas and Zimbabwe for the first time early in 2026.
New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson is already looking forward to the busy upcoming schedule and is hoping he can continue to feature across all three formats.
'It feels like a marquee summer. The calibre of opposition means we'll be constantly tested for the duration of the season, and that's what you want as a cricketer,' Kyle Jamieson said as quoted from the ICC website.
'It's great to have another three-Test series at home, and I'm sure the fans will get behind the Test team as they have in seasons gone by. It's always special to play in front of a home crowd, and we're hoping Kiwis will get out in force to support us once again this summer,' he added.
Much of the White Ferns' focus heading into the summer will be the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka later this year, though batter Georgia Plimmer is excited about what lies ahead in the new year.
The White Ferns will host Zimbabwe for the first time across six white-ball fixtures and then have eight matches against South Africa, which includes some double headers with the men's side.
'We can't wait for the international season and the chance to play in another ICC Cricket World Cup. We want to play as much cricket as we can, especially in front of our home fans, and it's exciting to have a 14-game home summer to prepare for,' Georgia Plimmer said.
'It's great to see more T20I double headers as they are such a great experience for teams and fans alike, and it was awesome to see such strong crowds last season,' she added.

It took an 89-run partnership between Travis Head and Usman Khawaja to regain some momentum for the Australians. 'I think that's what opened the game up for us. Blowing away the top-order is the most important thing in this cricket, and that made it a lot easier for us in the middle and at the back end of the innings. Mixed Disability Series: India score thrilling 2-wicket win over England at Lord's
London [UK], June 26 (ANI): India's Mixed Disability Team held its nerve and sealed a thrilling two-wicket win over England in the last over at Lord's in the third T20I of their ground-breaking Mixed Disability seven-match IT20 series at the Lord's Cricket Ground on Wednesday, according to a release The occasion was historic as it was the first-ever international Disability match at the 'Home of Cricket.' The date, venue and the result of the match all made for a tremendous coincidence- 42 years back, India, led by the legendary Kapil Dev, had clinched the 1983 World Cup on June 25 at Lord's in 1983. 'We dedicate our team's historic win to Kapil Dev sir's team's 1983 World-Cup winning team,' said Ravi Chauhan, the Gen Secretary of the Differently-Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI), as quoted from a release. Both teams wore black armbands during the match to mourn the passing away of former India left-arm spinner Dilip Doshi on Monday in London. June 25 is incidentally celebrated as the 'World Mixed Disability Day.' The fixture at Lord's formed part of the Cricket Disability Day, and was the biggest ever one-off showcase of disability cricket, as it was the first time that India and England's mixed Disability teams played at Lord's. Hosted by the MCC, ECB and Lord's Taverners, the game was the showpiece event of this series. India's Mixed Disability team is now trailing 2-1 in the series after losing the first two matches at Taunton and Wormsley Cricket Club. Led by a magnificent show with the ball by seamer Vivek Kumar (three for 16 in three overs) and left-arm spinner and captain Ravindra Sante (3/8 in four overs), India's Mixed Disability team restricted England to just 123/9 in 20 overs after the hosts elected to bat first. A. Brown was the lone warrior for England with a brilliant half-century (77 off 47 balls, 5x4, 5x6). Brown added 35 for the ninth wicket with A Pyle (4 not out) off just 17 balls to help England cross the 100-run mark. He took 18 off the last over bowled by spinner Tarun, smashing him for two sixes, to give the hosts' total some respectability after they had collapsed to 49/7 in 12 overs. Suryakumar Yadav undergoes successful surgery in Germany, set to return for Bangladesh T20Is
Munich [Germany], June 26 (ANI): India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has successfully undergone hernia surgery in Munich, Germany and is currently recovering, as per ESPNcricinfo. Suryakumar posted on his official Instagram handle, 'Life Update : Underwent surgery for a sports hernia in the lower right abdomen. Grateful to share that after a smooth surgery, I'm already on the road to recovery. Can't wait to be back.' The 34-year-old was last seen in action during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he played a key role in guiding the Mumbai Indians (MI) to the playoffs. He enjoyed a record-breaking season, registering 16 consecutive scores of 25 or more, a new world record. Suryakumar finished the tournament with 717 runs, the highest ever by a Mumbai Indians batter in a single season and the most by any non-opener in IPL history. India are currently touring England for a five-match Test series, which runs until August 4. Following that, the team will shift focus to a white-ball series in Bangladesh, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. Suryakumar, who hasn't featured in ODI cricket since the 2023 World Cup final, used this break from international duty to undergo surgery and focus on recovery.
