Suzi Taylor hits Block bottom: Alarming photo emerges of renovation star-turned-prostitute while on bail - as a magistrate says what we've all been thinking for years: INSIDE MAIL

Daily Mail7 days ago

Five years ago, gossip columnist Annette Sharp posed the question of how much responsibility Channel Nine has for its fallen star Suzi Taylor.
It was a question worth asking given that Taylor, a former contestant from renovation series The Block, had just faced a Brisbane court over a bizarre 'honey trap' kidnapping, the details of which had the whole television industry aghast.
Taylor and her co-accused Ali Ebrahimi were eventually cleared on all charges, including extortion, deprivation of liberty, fraud and assault, and we do not suggest either of them committed a crime.
Five years after her rise to fame on The Block, it was revealed Suzi Taylor was working as a prostitute. To say her downfall has been cataclysmic would be an understatement
But the accusations were alarming, to say the least, drawing attention to the fact Taylor, just five years after her sudden rise to fame, was clearly a troubled woman earning a living as a prostitute.
That was 2020. Now it's 2025 and she continues to face legal troubles.
In March, she pleaded guilty to charges of trespassing, stealing and common assault but escaped jail and only had to pay a fine.
She had forced entry into a home the previous October demanding property from someone who was no longer living there. She pushed a woman then fled on an e-scooter with a shopping bag full of stolen goods.
At the time, Taylor had just been released from prison where she'd served 50 days for evading police.
She is currently on bail facing drug-trafficking charges and only recently had another conviction for meth possession added to her rap sheet.
In granting bail earlier this month, a magistrate noted Taylor had mental health issues.
To say her downfall has been cataclysmic would be an understatement.
This week, a single photo underscored just how far she has fallen: a selfie of Taylor seemingly in the throes of ecstasy with three young men - her 'toyboys' as she called them - along with a delusional caption about being 'young, wild and free'.
Bear in mind this is a 53-year-old woman on bail.
Taylor, who is on bail for drug-trafficking charges, posted this photo of herself flanked by a trio of male friends she called 'toyboys'. It is not suggested the men are involved in anything illegal
It's no secret Nine indulged Taylor during her chaotic tenure on The Block. She even dated a producer, Tim Wise (right). Ten years later and her life has completely fallen apart
So, should Australia's largest media company do something to help the woman who was arguably the biggest drawcard of its most-watched reality show a decade ago? A woman who collapsed on set - officially due to 'exhaustion' but allegedly due to her wild partying - and who also dated a Nine producer, Tim Wise, for several months?
Some would say yes; some would argue she is no longer the network's responsibility.
We asked Nine if there had been any intervention by them or Block team, or whether she still falls under the scope of their duty of care for former reality TV participants, but did not receive a response.
The last time Nine addressed these questions was half a decade ago, when a spokesperson was quoted as saying: 'Suzi was on The Block five years ago and has always indicated it was an experience she enjoyed.
'We gave her all the support she needed during and after the show.'
The last time Taylor had lucidly opened up about her personal life was in her final social media post for 2024 in which she revealed she was estranged from her three children, aged in their teens and twenties.
She said her downfall had forced her to redefine what family is, and expressed hope for a more positive 2025. Fate had different plans for her.

Bikie gang boss who was jailed for assault makes huge move relating to Conor McGregor's new business venture

A former bikie gang boss has revealed he is in talks with Conor McGregor 's Bare Knuckle Fight Championship to headline the controversial fighting competition's upcoming event in Perth. Matthew Floyd who is understood to have been the former leader of WA's Lone Wolf bike gang has sought out a permit from the WA Combat Sports Commission, according to The West Australian. He is now awaiting the outcome of the application, with the Commission holding an emergency meeting this week to make a call on whether he will be authorised to fight in the event, which has been scheduled to arrive in Perth on July 19. Under the Commission's criteria, fighters are required to be of good standing and follow the Commission's code of conduct in order to receive a permit to fight. It is understood that he could square off against former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers in the event. The West Australian said that Floyd was hoping the Commission would see how much of an opportunity this was going to be for him. 'It's at RAC Arena, it's a life-changing opportunity, financially, and also the person I'm fighting against . . . he fought Floyd Mayweather,' he said to the outlet. 'It's my way, it's a living, it's an income, you shouldn't be able to tell a man whether he can work or provide for his family or not. 'It's all these people sitting in their chairs stopping people from making an honest living.' He added that he hoped the Commission would look past his criminal history. Floyd was jailed in his early 20s over ecstasy tablets. He'd later rise to become the leader of the WA Chapter of the Lone Wolf bikie gang. But he'd be thrown back into prison for a further six years after he was charged with assault and kidnapping of known paedophiles. Since then, Floyd has turned his attention to the boxing ring. He also recently called out Tommy Fury for a meeting in the ring. He owns and operates a gym in WA and is helping many young fighters stay out of crime while actualising their potential as fighters. Meanwhile, Sports Minister Rita Saffioti also explained she would not step in to cancel the event, if the Commission handed Floyd a permit. 'The advice to me is that with very strict protocols and criteria that the event, if the organiser were to meet that, that it could be conducted in WA,' she said. McGregor is a co-owner of the fighting championship and recently was pictured standing with Floyd and boxing coach Phil Sutcliffe. He has also vowed to one day fight in the promotion. 'Yes, the warrior spirit burns inside me,' he said. 'If you think I'm up here giving these speeches and leading these men into battle and I wont step in there myself, think again,' McGregor declared. 'For sure, Conor McGregor will fight in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Mark my words.' Concerns have been raised over the safety of fighters competing in bare-knuckle events. However, Floyd has assured those with doubts over the sport that there were greater risks in boxing. 'I've got in plenty of street fights and, you know, felt like it hurt, but you'd only ever feel it the next day,' Floyd added. 'In boxing, you get the thump, you feel like your whole head just goes, and it might go black for a bit — I feel like that's from the glove.' The event, though, is still waiting on the green light from WA Combat Sports Commission chairman, Bob Kucera. He told the ABC that fighters were waiting for permits to be issued while a decision on whether the event would proceed as planned would be made by June 7. He also allayed concerns over the safety of the event, telling ABC radio, that participants are 'not people like you see in Northbridge where it's just a couple of drunks on the street having a go.

AFL star's dad is allegedly assaulted in violent brawl at footy match

The father of Melbourne Demons star Bayley Fritsch was allegedly 'caught up in a brawl' at a local footy match this weekend, according to reports. Scott Fritsch, 57, was understood to have been watching his son Darcy play for Coldstream in the Eastern Football Netball League on Saturday against Upper Ferntree Gully. According to The Herald Sun, Mr Fritsch was allegedly assaulted on the touchline just before the final siren. Individuals close to the outlet stated that Scott, who also played in the Eastern Football League, 'was the intended target' of the alleged assault. The details of the incident still remain hazy. Victoria Police state that a man was arrested following the incident. 'Police arrested a man following an assault at a local football match in Upper Ferntree Gully on Saturday, 31 May,' a statement read. 'Investigators were told that spectators were involved in a scuffle at a sporting ground on Willow Road at about 4.45pm. 'A 57-year-old Coldstream man was treated at the scene for minor injuries. 'A 44-year-old Seville man was interviewed and is expected to be charged on summons for intentionally causing injury and unlawful assault.' The Fritsch family declined to issue comment to The Herald Sun. Highlights footage, posted by the Eastern Football Netball League on Vimeo, showed umpires and players reacting to the brawl, with a group of umpires conversing to what appeared to a Coldstream official after the game while pointing to a section of the crowd that was not in view. The officials were subsequently escorted off the footy pitch by two umpire escorts. Some members of both playing cohorts were seen motioning their team-mates to stay away from the melee. 'Ambulance Victoria responded to calls to an incident in Upper Ferntree Gully at around 5:00pm on 31 May,' a statement read. 'No emergency transport was provided.' Daily Mail Australia has contacted both clubs and the footy league for comment. Scott amassed 300 appearances for the footy club and has since been handed Life Membership by the Eastern Football Netball League. He notably captained the footy club to Coldstream's Division Four premiership win in 2001.

Man found dead in a bin behind a Salvos store is identified

A man who was found dead inside an industrial bin behind a Salvation Army store has been identified. Police were called to the scene in Bellerive, Hobart, at about 9am on Monday after a garbage contractor made the grim discovery. It's understood the bin was located at the end of the driveway behind a hairdressing salon and a Salvation Army Store on Percy Street. The garbage contractor initially thought the body inside the bin was a mannequin display. On Tuesday, detectives have since identified the deceased man as 45-year-old Luke Jon Telega. An autopsy performed on Tuesday revealed Mr Telega had no visible signs of injury. On Tuesday, Detective Inspector David Gill said police were keeping an open-mind as to the circumstances surrounding Mr Telega's death. 'Police continue to maintain an open mind and treat the death as a case of misadventure, or foul play, or a potential combination of both,' Det Insp Gill said. Police released pictures of Mr Telega, with the permission of his family, in a bid for more information about his movements in the lead up to his death. Mr Telega was last seen alive on Saturday at around 10pm when he was visiting his children. 'But there remains a gap in the timeline until the discovery of his body by a garbage contractor on Monday morning,' Det Insp Gill said. Det Insp Gill added people struggling with homelessness are known to frequent the area behind the shops on Percy Street. Mr Telega was known to police and had been homeless for at least several months. It is unclear if he was sleeping inside the bin. Investigators are particularly interested in Mr Telega's movements on Sunday - the 35 hours between when he was last seen and when his body was discovered. 'Detectives have today spoken with members of the public, conducted further door knocking of homes and businesses and reviewed CCTV footage,' Det Insp Gill said.
