West Brom hire Spurs assistant Mason as manager
Mason, 33, has signed a three-year deal at the Hawthorns and is tasked with getting West Brom promoted back to the Premier League.
"This is a huge club with a fantastic infrastructure and an incredible fanbase and I am excited about what we can achieve together," Mason said in a statement.
West Brom finished ninth in the Championship last season and had been without a manager since the sacking of Tony Mowbray in April.
After his playing career was ended early by a serious head injury, Mason returned to Spurs as a coach in 2018.
He stepped up as caretaker boss in 2021 and 2023 following the sackings of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
Mason was part of Ange Postecoglou's coaching staff as Tottenham ended a 17-year wait to win a trophy by lifting the Europa League last month.
"Ryan has been an integral part of Tottenham Hotspur for a number of years, both as a player and a coach," said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ryan for all his dedication and hard work over the years, and we wish him every success for the future."

Sunderland make Le Fee move permanent for record fee
The 25-year-old arrived at the Stadium of Light on a six-month loan in January and was a key player as Sunderland won the Championship play-offs after finishing fourth in the table. Le Fee has penned a four-year deal and will cost a reported £19.3million ($26 million) after a clause in his loan deal was activated once Sunderland sealed promotion. "I said before the play-off final that my heart was in Sunderland - I wanted to stay and this made it the most important game of my life. Together, we did it," Le Fee told the club website. "From the moment I arrived, I have enjoyed my football, my team-mates and our supporters. We shared an incredible experience and now we get to take the next step." Le Fee had previously worked with Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris at Lorient before joining Rennes and a big money move to Roma less than 12 months ago. However, he made just 10 appearances for the Italian giants before being loaned out. © 2025 AFP

Brentford sign goalkeeper Kelleher from Liverpool
The Bees' previous number one Mark Flekken joined Bayer Leverkusen earlier on Tuesday in a deal worth around 10 million euros (£8.5 million, $11.5 million). Kelleher played an important role in Liverpool's Premier League triumph, making 10 appearances during the absence of Alisson Becker due to injury. However, the 26-year-old was keen for more first-team action and could have fallen further down the pecking order at Anfield with the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia. Kelleher has signed a five-year deal at Brentford with a club option of an additional season. "As well as being a very good goalkeeper, I've rarely met a player for whom everybody has such positive words to say about his personality and character," said Brentford director of football Phil Giles. "I'm therefore confident he'll be an excellent addition to the squad." Kelleher made 67 appearances for Liverpool and leaves with two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, two League Cups and the UEFA Super Cup. Brentford, managed by Thomas Frank, finished 10th in the Premier League last season.

Leverkusen sign Brentford goalie Flekken
German media reported Leverkusen paid 10 million euros (£8.45 million, $11.5 million) to secure the 31-year-old's services. Flekken, who signed a deal running to 2028, will likely take over from current Leverkusen goalie Lukas Hradecky, who captained the side to their historic unbeaten league and cup double in 2023-24. In a statement, Flekken said he was taking "another special step in my career", adding that Leverkusen are "a top German club with high national and European goals". Leverkusen are expected to undergo a rebuild this off-season, with former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag having already replaced the Real Madrid-bound Xabi Alonso as coach. Centre-back Jonathan Tah signed on a free transfer with German champions Bayern Munich, while midfielder Florian Wirtz is in talks to join wing-back Jeremie Frimpong in moving to Premier League winners Liverpool. The Dutch 'keeper has Bundesliga experience, having spent five years at Freiburg before making the switch to Brentford in 2023.
