"It's a title fight in the end – it doesn't matter if there's a champion or there isn't one," Oliveira told MMA Junkie through an interpreter on Wednesday. "It's a title fight, and you've got to go in there and win. It's for sure (exciting), especially the hype that he's coming with. He's undefeated. It's something that makes it even more exciting." Since Topuria first broached the topic of giving up his 145-pound belt and moving up to 155 pounds in February, Oliveira has only shown respect toward "El Matador." That hasn't been reciprocated in the lead up to UFC 317, however, with Topuria taking shots at Oliveira's fighting skills and intelligence. The Brazilian feels the disrespect, and he plans some redemption of his own on fight night. "He has definitely not treated me with the same respect," Oliveira said. "I don't know (why). Oliveira said his one interaction with Topuria at UFC 312 in Sydney was pleasant and uneventful, with the pair even posing for a photo together. But now, when they finally get face-to-face for a staredown at Thursday's pre-event press conference, they will find out "who the real one is." Oliveira, 35, is arguably the most decorated fighter in UFC history. He holds a plethora of all-time records including most stoppage wins, most submission wins and most fight-night bonuses, and now he's on the doorstep of entrenching himself further in the record books against who many see as the UFC's next rising star in Topuria. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are getting a 400 percent raise, one of the members said during the second season of the Netflix series 'America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.' 'Happy' isn't even the right word for it,' former cheerleader Jada McLean said on the show, via the Associated Press. 'I think I was just . . kind of felt, like, a relief, like everything had paid off. And it was, you know, finally, we were done fighting.' The cheerleaders have fought for pay increases for years. The Cowboys settled a lawsuit with a former cheerleader in 2019 that led to the squad doubling their per-game pay from $200 to $400. 'Our efforts were heard and they wanted to give us a raise,' four-year veteran Megan McElaney said on the show. 'And we ended up getting a 400 percent increase, which is like, life-changing.' The Cowboys agreed to pay four cheerleaders a total of $2.4 million nine years ago to settle claims by the women that then-public relations executive Rich Dalrymple filmed them in the dressing room. Dalrymple denied the claims but retired shortly before the settlement became public in a 2022 ESPN story. The Cowboys are the world's most valuable sports team, according to Forbes magazine, with a valuation of $10.1 billion as of late last year.

Khalil Rountree shrugs off Jamahal Hill's disparaging remarks before UFC Baku Khalil Rountree isn't taking Jamahal Hill's disparaging remarks ahead of their UFC on ABC 8 fight too seriously. Rountree (13-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC) takes on former light heavyweight champion Hill (12-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) in Saturday's UFC on ABC 8 (ABC, ESPN, ESPN+) headliner at Baku Crystal Hall in Baku, Azerbaijan. Hill told MMA Junkie that he plans on showing that Rountree isn't on his level, but the former title challenger doesn't take it as a personal attack. He explains why. "I think that's a mixture of a lot of things, but it's also not the first time that I've heard this," Rountree told MMA Junkie. "I heard it against Alex (Pereira), we've heard it against Jiri (Prochazka). 'Alex is not on my level, Jiri is not on my level, Khalil Rountree is not on my level.' So, I'm just going to leave it at that (laughs). I'm prepared." Rountree hasn't competed since falling short in a valiant effort against Alex Pereira in their title fight at UFC 307. Light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev and Pereira are expected to run things back, and Rountree hopes to find himself in the title picture again with a win over Hill. "It's so hard to say with guys' decisions and choosing to fight who and this and that," Rountree said. "So, I really don't know what to expect, who's going to fight who, but all I know is that by the end of the year, I would love to be right there fighting for the belt again. Whether it would be Alex or whoever else. I don't care who's there, it's about the belt and my biggest dream is I would love for it to be in Vegas. I would love to fight for the belt in Vegas, at home, and get a chance to win it at home."
