East Carolina guard RJ Felton to attend predraft workout with Raptors
East Carolina senior RJ Felton is scheduled to work out with the Toronto Raptors, his management, Exclusive Athletes Agency, announced on Monday.
Felton was an All-AAC first-team selection this past season, averaging 18.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals on 37.6% shooting from 3-point range in 33 games. He ranked third in the conference in points (620) and fourth in 3-pointers (86).
The 6-foot-3 guard leaves East Carolina ranked second in career field goals (630) and third in total scoring (1,774) and 3s (235) after four years with the program. His 620 points scored were the fourth-most by a Pirates player in a single season.
Felton was among the prospects who competed at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament last month, emerging as one of the top performers after recording 22 points in one game. He was named Player of the Game for that performance on April 16.
The soon-to-be 23-year-old has also had known predraft workouts with the Charlotte Hornets, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz. He will also have others scheduled before the draft on June 25-26.
Felton is highly touted for his scoring and ability to make hustle plays. He had a productive college career and wants to continue that momentum into the predraft process.

WATCH: What makes Pascal Siakam and the Pacers a perfect match?
Scroll down to watch my latest video explaining why Pascal Siakam was the ideal final puzzle piece for the Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers. Pascal Siakam's game is like Play-doh. Physically, on the court, he contorts his body, maneuvering through tight spaces and bending to find openings. Metaphorically, he morphs into whatever shape the Indiana Pacers need him to be. Advertisement This isn't new for Siakam. In his first 7 1/2 seasons with the Toronto Raptors, he was forced to adapt to his environment, shifting from role player, to starter, to second option and eventually into the number one guy once Kawhi Leonard departed for the LA Clippers. So it comes as no surprise that he has fit like a glove in the Pacers' system since the team acquired him from Toronto in a midseason trade in 2024. Since then, he's thrived working as a transition star, cutter, isolation scorer and defensive Swiss-army knife next to superstar point guard Tyrese Haliburton. Siakam can live in the Pacers' high-octane system, thrive within it and even enhance everything they do well on the court. His ability to run the floor to be a transition threat, his constant movement within a fast-paced halfcourt setup and his off-ball defensive versatility blend well with the Pacers' approach. But he also can be the Pacers' glitch, breaking from their system and making them less one-track-minded with his isolation scoring. Siakam's unique adaptability makes him one of the most malleable stars in the NBA. He is the cherry on top of a championship-worthy Pacers roster.

Raptors rumors: Brian Windhorst hints at possible ‘big fish' trade
The post Raptors rumors: Brian Windhorst hints at possible 'big fish' trade appeared first on ClutchPoints. With the basketball world coming up with possible trades involving the Toronto Raptors and Giannis Antetokounmpo, some people wonder what the offseason plans are for the team. While the Raptors are headed into a crucial offseason, ESPN's NBA insider Brian Windhorst hinted that it could be an exciting summer for the franchise. Advertisement Led by team president Masai Ujiri, he and the team will look to vastly improve the roster after finishing with a 30-52 record, which put them 11th in the Eastern Conference. Windhorst would say on 'The Hoop Collective' show that the team has begun to 'make noise within the league about looking for a big fish.' 'I don't want to get too far afield from this, but since this has come up, the Raptors are a team that is starting to make noise within the league about looking for a big fish,' Windhorst said. 'If you're an Eastern Conference team that's in the middle of the pack, you're looking at the teams in front of you going, 'Some of them may not be able to come together, may be able to stay together.' 'Boston is hurt, and so there are some teams that sniff the ability to make a move, and I think Toronto is one of those teams,' Windhorst continued. 'And so naturally, any team that wants to make a move this summer, especially a team in the Eastern Conference, you're going to have Giannis on the board.' Raptors could be a part of an 'explosive summer' in the NBA offseason Dan Hamilton-Imagn Images As the Raptors' vision seems unclear at the moment, Windhorst says that he has heard around NBA circles that the team is expected to make their names known around big players that could be available. The biggest name seems to be Antetokounmpo, but he has not officially requested a trade, but even Windhorst said that this offseason could make for an 'explosive summer' with Toronto being one of the teams included in that. Advertisement 'But Toronto, I think, is going to try—from their initial conversations, teams in the league are getting the impression that Toronto is going to try to do something,' Windhorst said. 'I had an executive tell me yesterday that he thinks this could be—could be, could be—an explosive summer. You know, just as Shams [Charania] said the other day, but like, this—you know, this is the whole league.' 'People are saying that this—the amount of activity and calls happening in the league right now is at a much higher volume than has been in years past,' Windhorst continued. 'I know it does not mean it's going to happen, but Toronto is one of those teams that is sitting there on the balls of its feet, which is interesting.' Whomever they try to get, one imagines that the goal is to pair alongside Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram, though the latter has experienced an immense amount of bad injury luck.

Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors: Celtics rival has ‘mutual interest' (report)
While the NBA offseason isn't officially here yet, a major domino this summer continues to be Giannis Antetokounmpo's future. The Bucks haven't made it past the first round in three straight playoffs, and with dwindling assets, it doesn't make much sense for Antetokounmpo to stick around in Milwaukee. The Celtics have been floated around as a dark-horse candidate for Antetokounmpo, among a number of teams. Enter a new trade candidate: the Raptors. Per the Toronto Star's Doug Smith, there is 'mutual interest' between Antetokounmpo and the Raptors as a landing spot for the two-time MVP. Advertisement Antetokounmpo, 30, is still at the height of his powers. But the Bucks haven't been able to get over the hump ever since winning the 2021 NBA title. They made a huge swing by trading for Damian Lillard, but the 34-year-old's ruptured Achilles tendon injury changed the equation for the franchise and Antetokounmpo going forward. The Raptors are indeed an interesting landing spot for the 2021 NBA Finals MVP. Toronto finished with a 30-52 record as they're in the middle of a rebuild. However, as Smith noted, they have plenty of draft assets they could send to the Bucks in any trade. Plus, they have some tradable pieces that, if they were included in the deal, wouldn't decimate the roster. Of course, the Raptors have history trading for a superstar and it paying off in a huge way. When Kawhi Leonard was disgruntled in San Antonio, the Raptors went ahead and acquired for him. While Leonard was in Toronto for just one season, it resulted in winning the 2019 NBA championship, their lone title in franchise history. So while it was a major risk to trade for Leonard, it paid off in a way that will be immortalized. Antetokounmpo would be a long-term fixture with the Raptors if they did trade for him. The Bucks star still has three years left on his contract, with a $62.8 million player option for the 2027-28 season. Antetokounmpo, as he showed this season, still can take over games, but it's just about getting support from the rest of the roster. Advertisement Antetokounmpo will naturally be a major name on the trade market this summer if he is indeed available. Any team vying for the superstar will have to give up a lot. But perhaps the Raptors could make sense, plus they do have an international market located in Canada. More Celtics content Read the original article on MassLive.
