Iran rejects US nuclear proposal over sanctions relief lack
Shafaq News/ On Sunday, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf dismissed the latest US proposal in indirect nuclear talks, criticizing it for excluding any reference to lifting sanctions. Speaking ahead of a public parliament session, Ghalibaf reaffirmed Iran's readiness to demonstrate the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, while emphasizing that this remains contingent on genuine sanctions relief and tangible economic benefits. According to Ghalibaf, the US continues to press for restrictions on Iran's enrichment program while offering only vague commitments lacking legal or practical clarity. 'They smile in front of the cameras and talk of economic relief, but in reality, not only do they avoid lifting sanctions, they don't even promise to. It is clear that no rational logic would accept such a unilateral and imposed agreement,' he explained. Turning to US President Donald Trump, Ghalibaf called for a change in approach. 'If Trump truly seeks a deal, he must abandon his coordination with the Zionist regime and [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's failed policies.' Indirect nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington, facilitated by Omani mediators, resumed on April 12 and have completed five rounds. Discussions have focused on the scope of uranium enrichment and the sequencing of sanctions relief, though significant gaps remain. Last week, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on X that Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi had delivered the components of the US proposal to Tehran during a brief visit. 'Iran will respond appropriately based on principles, national interests, and the rights of the Iranian people to the proposal,' his post read.

Tehran claims spy operation targeting Israeli nuclear sites
Shafaq News/ Iran's intelligence services have reportedly obtained a large cache of sensitive Israeli documents, including files allegedly linked to nuclear and defense infrastructure, according to state broadcaster IRIB on Saturday. The report claimed that thousands of documents—comprising written files, images, and videos—were extracted from Israeli territory during a covert operation carried out 'some time ago.' Iranian officials did not provide evidence to support the allegations, but emphasized that the volume of material was 'so extensive that the process of reviewing and verifying their contents is still ongoing.' IRIB attributed the operation to Iran's intelligence apparatus and linked it to the May arrest of two Israeli citizens, Roy Mizrahi and Almog Atias, both 24 and residents of Nesher near Haifa. According to Israeli authorities, the two were detained on suspicion of collecting intelligence on behalf of Iran following a joint investigation by the Shin Bet and Israel Police's Lahav 433 unit. Israeli officials have not directly responded to the Iranian claims regarding the intelligence haul. However, at the time of the arrests, security authorities described the case as part of 'a series of recent incidents' involving efforts by Iranian intelligence services to recruit Israeli citizens for espionage activities, the Times of Israel reported. Tensions between Israel and Iran have long been marked by mutual hostility, with both countries accusing each other of conducting covert operations ranging from cyberattacks to assassinations. In recent months, Israeli authorities have announced multiple arrests of citizens suspected of spying for Iranian intelligence, often in exchange for money—highlighting Tehran's expanding efforts to infiltrate Israeli society through espionage networks.

Iran claims massive intel breach into Israeli nuclear files
Shafaq News/ On Saturday, Iran announced its largest intelligence operation 'in history' against Israel, alleging the retrieval of highly sensitive documents, including files related to nuclear infrastructure. According to Iranian state media, the operation was carried out by the Ministry of Intelligence and involved the covert transfer of a 'massive and complex' cache of classified Israeli documents into Iranian territory, including material on strategic sectors and critical facilities. Authorities stated that the volume of information remains under review, requiring significant technical analysis due to its scale and complexity. The timing of the operation was not disclosed, however, the announcement followed Israeli media reports of the arrest of two Israeli nationals—Roy Mizrahi and Almog Atias—in the northern city of Nesher by Israel's Shin Bet intelligence agency. The arrests were linked to national security charges and suspected contacts with Iran, but no official link between the two developments has been confirmed. Israel has not responded publicly to the Iranian claims, and its intelligence agencies have not issued any statements.
