The Script paid an emotional tribute to late guitarist Mark Sheehan on Saturday as they took to the stage at Glastonbury.
The musician died in hospital aged 46 back in April 2023 following a brief illness, leaving his bandmates 'utterly devastated'.
And over two years on from his passing, the frontman's Danny O'Donaghue shared some sweet words for his pal before dedicating a song to him amid their performance on the Pyramid stage at Worthy Farm, Somerset.
Following a performance of their breakthrough track The Man Who Can't Be Move, Danny, 44, sat on the edge of the stage and told the audience how he wished Mark was still alive to see their success.
He shared: 'There's one person I really wish was here to see this. He was on the stage 17 years ago. We lost my best mate and the founding member of The Script Mark Sheehan, we lost him nearly a year and a half ago.
'I just want to thank every single person here for keeping us going, for all your thoughts and all your prayers, thank you so much.'
As the crowd cheered, he added: 'I know he's having a whiskey right now looking down on us. With that I'm gonna dedicate this song to him, this song is called If You Could See Me Now. '
A host of world-renowned performers are still yet to take to the stage this weekend, with Neil Young scheduled to headline the festival on Saturday and Olivia Rodrigo closing out the weekend on Sunday.
The rest of the festival will too see performances from Kaiser Chiefs, Raye, The Libertines, Noah Kahan and many others.
Mark, who was originally from Dublin, formed the successful rock band alongside frontman Danny and drummer Glen Power in 2001.
His shock passing was announced on the band's official Facebook page in April 2023, two weeks after the group's gig was announced.
The guitarist and father-of-three lived in America with his wife Rina. He died in hospital on April 14, 2023 following a brief, undisclosed illness.
Their band's statement said: 'Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness'.
It continued: 'The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time.'

Mark began his career as a dancer and taught Hip-Hop at Dublin's Digges Lane performing arts centre.
Mark and lead singer Danny had been best friends from the age of 12 and were previously members of a band called Mytown, which was formed in 1996.
The announcement prompted more than 2,000 comments and well-wishes from fans within minutes of it being posted.
Rushing to the comments section former Love Island host Laura Whitmore wrote: 'Thinking of you all at this time. Mark was one of the nicest and most talented men you could meet x'.

While musician LYRA said: 'So sorry to hear this, sending so much love'.
DOI's Matt Evers added: 'Sending love to you boys'.

Meanwhile devastated fans also paid their respect to the talented and much respected musician.

In lyrics on the album, Taylor made several allusions to a mystery man who broke her heard, at one point saying he "smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate". The titular track also refers to the man using a typewriter - which Matty has gone on record to using. Seeming to confirm he was the man behind the songs, Matty finished his speech on the stage at Glastonbury by "reminding people of his poetry" by going into their song Chocolate. The 1975's Matty Healy slammed by fans for performing with pint and a fag as parents ban kids from watching_1 He further mocked himself and the song's non-sensical lyrics by having jumbled subtitles play overhead as they played. Charli XCX took to the Other Stage at Worthy Farm as the final headliner on Saturday - and she certainly worked the Glastonbury crowd. In comparison to a sparse looking turnout for Neil Young, Charli was treated to a bumper audience as she left little to the imagination in her energetic performance. Taking to the stage in a black crop top and skimpy paints, she seductively teased the crowd and cameras. However, with those in attendance lapping up the display, it appears viewers at home weren't as impressed. Taking to Twitter/X, some fans blasted the singer for seemingly miming. One user fumed: "Oh ffs can't watch Scissor Sisters and Charli XCX is bloody dreadful. Could literally be any random person miming. WTF for a Glastonbury Saturday night, disappointing." Another added: "Predictable but shame nonetheless that charli xcx can't sing live #Glastonbury2025 #charlixcx FAKE." And a third said: "Charli xcx Embarressing [sic]that, turning up to walk around stage pretending to sing…" "What part of Charli XCX is 'live music' ? The Smiths (1984): One of the first bands to divide the early Glastonbury purists were Manchester indie stars The Smiths. Jay-Z's top bill booking was met with a flurry of digs, including some from Oasis's Noel Gallagher, who claimed hip hop had no place at the festival. In a perfect clap-back, Jay-Z walked out to a version of Wonderwall before launching into his powerful hit 99 problems. Seven years later, his pal Kanye West followed in his Glastonbury footsteps and topped the bill. Metallica (2014): Thrash metal rockers Metallica were met with raised eyebrows when they were announced as Glastonbury headliners. Some critics claimed they lacked mainstream appeal, while others felt they were past their prime. However, frontman James Hetfield managed to quickly win the crowd round thanks to his good humour and polite manners. Adele (2016): Although Adele wowed both festival goers and music fans at home with her headliner set, the British songstress did cause a stir by turning the air blue. She warned the crowd about her "potty mouth" but not everyone was impressed with with the 30 plus expletives she dropped on the stage during her headline set, which aired on the BBC. And a sixth added: "Since iPlayer is so useless this weekend you only have what's on BBC One and Two of #Glastonbury."
