On Monday, Good Morning America visited the seal pup for a big announcement.
After the police department posted a poll for people to vote on what his name should be, the winner was 'Chappy,' a nod to Chapel Street, where he was found.
Other name choices were Tyler- in honor of the police officer who saved him; River- for the river he swam up; and Vinny- because he was close to Italian Wooster Street.
