WWE Night of Champions King of the Ring final results: Cody Rhodes beats the Viper in Saudi Arabia
Countdown to Night of Champions: June 28, 2025
The match began with Cody and Randy locking up in a battle for early control. Cody attempted to deliver powerful strikes, but Orton expertly countered, regaining the upper hand. The Viper unleashed some attacks, but Cody quickly turned the momentum with a fierce slam.
After few minutes, Cody headed to the top turnbuckle, but was caught by Orton, who executed a massive superplex.
However, the move damaged Orton himself, injuring his back and giving Cody a clear target. Seizing the opportunity, the American Nightmare targeted Orton's back, delivering several punishing blows. Orton responded with a signature backbreaker, but it worsened his own injury.
Understanding Orton's weakness, Cody continued to target his back, landing a high-impact dropkick from the top rope. He then locked in a neck submission, but Orton managed to break free.
The Viper bounced back with classic consecutive clotheslines and attempted a pin, but Cody powered out.
Momentum shifted again when Cody delivered a Cody Cutter, but Orton kicked out. After that, Cody hit a devastating Avalanche Cody Cutter, but Orton still managed to survive. Just when Cody seemed to have the match under control, Orton stunned everyone with a vintage DDT. Cody then hits Orton with the Cross Rhodes.
Orton, against all odds, kicked out again.
As Cody went for another move, Orton shocked the WWE Universe by landing an RKO out of nowhere. He geared up for the brutal Punt Kick and momentarily hesitated, but couldn't stop himself. As he charged in, Cody reversed and locked in the Figure Four Leglock. The Viper countered and applied the same hold on Cody.
Both superstars eventually rose to their feet, exchanging blow after blow. Cody attempted a springboard Cody Cutter, but Orton countered with a jaw-dropping RKO. He then removed the turnbuckle pad, intending to slam Cody into it. However, Cody reversed the move and sent Orton crashing into the exposed steel.
Seizing the moment, Cody delivered a final Cross Rhodes and pinned Orton to become the 2025 King of the Ring.

Rollins' Sabotage, Cena's Moral Battle, Punk's Chaos: The Tale Of The WWE Championship Fight At NOC
Last Updated: Seth Rollins focused on sabotaging CM Punk instead of winning the WWE Championship, while John Cena's moral struggle and betrayal added to the unforgettable chaos. Seth Rollins runs with heavy hitters like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed—muscle that gives him the luxury to strike when the moment is right. At WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, it almost was. Briefcase in hand, Rollins had a clear path to cash in Money in the Bank. But when the time came, he made a fateful decision. Rather than seize the WWE Championship for himself, Rollins chose to sabotage CM Punk's chances, prioritizing revenge over opportunity. It's a pattern that has haunted Rollins throughout his career: letting personal vendettas cloud his path to glory. #WWENOC — Public Enemies Podcast (@PublicEnemiesHQ) June 28, 2025 This choice, while dramatic, may ultimately define him. Even when the title is within reach, vengeance proves to be his undoing. Cena's Moral Crossroads To be fair to Rollins, the main event told more than one story. John Cena's inner struggle was just as central, subtle, but significant. As CM Punk and Cena rekindled their storied rivalry, fans at the Kingdom Arena watched two icons go to war once again for the WWE Championship. The match opened at a methodical pace, both men clearly prepared for each other's arsenal. Years of familiarity were on display, with reversals and counters at every turn. The crowd roared as Punk kicked out of three consecutive Attitude Adjustments, fueling Cena's frustration. In a telling moment, Cena grabbed the WWE title belt with clear intentions—but the fans' pleas reached him. He hesitated, then stopped. The old Cena—the principled competitor—seemed to resurface, if only for a moment. This is absolute CHAOS right now! — WWE (@WWE) June 28, 2025 Just as Cena backed away, Rollins stormed the ring with the Money in the Bank briefcase. A cash-in seemed imminent. But in a surprising twist, Cena intervened, knocking down referee Charles Robinson and halting Rollins' plan. That left Punk and Cena alone in the ring. The two shared a respectful handshake, a moment of mutual recognition. But Cena wasn't done. As he looked into the camera, he suddenly went for a low blow. Punk, anticipating the move, braced for it—only to be blindsided by Rollins, who struck with the briefcase and followed up with a devastating Stomp. Cena capitalized on the chaos, tossing Rollins from the ring and pinning Punk for the win. This ending was love it. #WWENOC — Wrestling Pics & Clips (@WrestleClips) June 28, 2025 In the end, no one left with clean hands—except, perhaps, the fans, who witnessed a main event layered in history, drama, and betrayal. 'I made your name': Ex-England cricketer on Sachin Tendulkar vs Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli bows down to Sachin Tendulkar after breaking his record of most number of centuries in the ODIs during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Former England cricketer Allan Lamb has picked his favourite Indian batter of all time. The 71-year-old, who represented England in three World Cups and 79 Tests, said Sachin Tendulkar is the best India has ever produced. "Sachin easily," Lamb told PTI. He then explained how he helped make Sachin's career: "I played against him when he was 18. I dropped him at slip and he went on to get 100 (in a Test match). So I always say to him, it was me that made your name." Arshdeep vs Morkel: WWE at the Nets! | Team India's Lighter Moment in Birmingham Lamb then explained why he picked Tendulkar ahead of Gavaskar and Kohli. "Kohli is a brilliant player, he's got all the shots, he can score quickly. But if you want the best player I played against, that Indian player is Sachin, even ahead of Sunny. "The only thing I would have liked was to see Sachin play against the West Indies, where Sunny scored runs against the West Indies. He was probably the only Indian to score runs against those quicks," he said. Poll Do you agree with Allan Lamb's choice of Sachin Tendulkar as the best Indian batter? Yes No Not Sure But Lamb's favourite Indian cricketer of all time was his former Northamptonshire teammate Kapil Dev . "I loved the way Kapil Dev played. We played together at Northampton," he recalled. "I remember him coming over and me saying, 'Kapi, I'm so pleased that you've come over. We need to strengthen our bowling.' He said, 'No, I haven't come to strengthen my bowling. I've come to better my batting. I've come here as a batsman,' which I always enjoyed," he added.
