Arrest warrant issued for Norman teacher accused of enabling child sexual abuse
NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) — The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Norman teacher who is accused of enabling child sexual abuse.
According to the CCSO, 47-year-old Valerie Ann Hartless, who is a teacher with Norman Public Schools, is wanted on felony charge of enabling child sexual abuse. Court records show the warrant was issued for Hartless on Thursday, March 27.
An affidavit obtained by News 4 says that the case stems from allegations of sexual abuse against 59-year-old Michael Hogue, Hartless' ex-husband.
Court documents allege Hogue inappropriately touched Hartless' 15-year-old daughter in their home on several occasions between July 2015 and December 2016. The Cleveland County District Attorney's Office decline to file charges in 2017, but CCSO investigators reopened the investigation in 2025.
Court records show an arrest warrant was also issued for Hogue on Thursday for lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.
The victim reportedly told Hartless about Hogue touching her inappropriately, but Hartless brushed off her concerns and told her daughter's friend that there was nothing she could do until her divorce with Hogue was settled.
As a result of Hartless' alleged inaction, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Hartless is believed to be traveling in either a black 2017 Ford F-150 with license plate number PSJ778, or a black 2013 Ford Edge with license plate number KAQ802.

Norman Public Schools sent News 4 the following statement regarding the allegations against Hartless.
District officials were made aware that a 'Be On the Lookout' (BOLO) has been issued for Valerie Hartless. Norman Public Schools (NPS) is cooperating with law enforcement regarding this matter. The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office has informed us that the charges against her are not related to her employment with NPS. As is standard procedure in such situations, Ms. Hartless has been placed on administrative leave. The district will also conduct a full internal administrative investigation. Ms. Hartless is a temporary employee and will not return to work this year.
Because this is a personnel matter and an ongoing criminal investigation, we cannot provide further comment at this time, except to emphasize that this situation does not involve Norman Public Schools, Adams, or its students. Inquiries regarding this case or the charges should be directed to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

Police said the electric dirt bike was not legal to ride in the roadway and lacked legally required "visibility equipment," including a white front headlight and red rear reflectors or lights. The operator of the bike was not wearing a helmet. Police believe the lack of equipment was a major contributing factor to the biker's injuries.

On Saturday, June 7, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) released a wanted poster on Facebook that features multiple new photos, and a few previously released images, of the murder suspect, including some that highlight his tattoos and wardrobe. In the photos, Decker — who has been charged with one count of kidnapping and three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his daughters Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5 — can be seen with his hair pulled back and tattoos on his arm and ankles. The poster states that Decker, 32, was last seen wearing a tan or green T-shirt, which he was previously photographed in, with dark shorts. He is 5'8 with black hair and brown eyes, and the CCSO described him as "dangerous" and said he "may be armed." MPD: False carjacking report leads to two arrests
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A driver who claimed he was carjacked early Saturday morning was charged with making a false report after police determined he made up the story. Edwin Blandon Moren, 45, allegedly told officers that two men in a white sedan pulled him out of his Ford F-150 at Macon and Highland and drove off in the vehicle. He said they also took his cell phone, cash, and credit cards. Where did 100,000 registered vehicles go in Shelby County? The Ford pickup was spotted a couple of hours later in a parking lot on Summer Avenue, and police arrested a woman who jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run away. Investigators said Moreno later admitted he had picked up a woman on Summer and went to a motel with her. He said that while he was in the shower, she took his wallet and drove off in his truck. Adrienne Campbell, 26, was charged with theft of property and evading arrest and is being held on a $25,000 bond. Court records show Campbell was arrested twice in 2024 for similar crimes. MPD: Home burglarized while suspects were live on Facebook In one case, she was accused of stealing a car from a female friend, and in another case, from a man who had given her a ride.
