The Linda Lindas Dance in a Kaleidoscope of Color in ‘Don't Think' Video
The Linda Lindas have released a music video for 'Don't Think,' a technicolor-tinged video with lyrics that critique the pressure of conforming to societal norms. The Kiki Banta and Marlowe Taylor-directed clip was filmed over two weekends in the backyard and home of one of the bandmates.
'This video was really fun because we got to work with filmmaking friends who are also our age,' drummer Mila de la Garza said in a statement. She added that the video they released was the directing duo's first draft. ''Don't Think' is about being lost in identities, and Kiki and Marlowe's video reflects that with all these different surreal elements.'

'Don't Think' appears on the Linda Lindas sophomore album, No Obligation, which the band — guitarists Bela Salazar and Lucia de la Garza, bassist-pianist Eloise Wong, and drummer Mila de la Garza — wrote and recorded during scheduled school breaks and weekends. The LP draws inspiration from Sleater-Kinney, Jawbreaker, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Paramore, with one single, 'Lose Yourself,' reminiscent of 'Green Day by way of Blondie,' per Rolling Stone's review of the album.
The Linda Lindas embark on their tour in support of No Obligation on Thursday in Berkeley. Their tour includes stops in Portland, Oregon, Vancouver, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Boston, Montreal, and other North American cities. It concludes on April 26 in Toronto. Special guests throughout the trek include Be Your Own Pet and Pinkshift.

From there, Mumford employs his trademark yelp for the upbeat, hard-charging 'Caroline.' The switch from inspirational ballad to friendly jam is proof positive that the band still knows what make them so special- emotional epics and singalongs. They combine those qualities to great effect in the title track 'Rushmere.' The jangling three-minute tune is a ramshackle good time in step with the group's biggest hits. It's intimate, it's epic, it's inviting, it's everything you want a Mumford and Sons song to be complete with an unforgettable refrain — 'light me up I'm wasted in the dark/rush me a restless heart to the end' — that you won't be able to stop wailing in your best Marcus impression. Marina Is 'Manifesting' Love on New Album, ‘Princess of Power'
Another MARINA album is nearly upon us, which means we'll soon have an entirely new rolodex of glittery alt-pop bangers to soundtrack our summer. According to the singer-songwriter, her latest record PRINCESS OF POWER is a form of 'manifestation music,' as her discography has always been. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, she got candid about how certain things in her life came true once she released her past fan-favorite albums, The Family Jewels, Electra Heart, and FROOT. 'The Family Jewels was full of manifestation,' she told the outlet. 'It was believing that I deserved… that I could be a star. It was based on what I'd been dreaming of. So, I fully believe this works.' She added that 2015's FROOT 'brought a major love into my life,' and that her Tumblr-era megahit 'Primadonna,' off her album Electra Heart, 'created that lifestyle' of being front and center in the spotlight. As for PRINCESS OF POWER, MARINA describes her track 'Rollercoaster' as 'manifestation music,' as she sings about 'embracing life's highs.' 'It almost always comes true,' she said, adding, 'I want this fresh, free energy.' She explained that she 'manifests finding love' in the song while another track on the album, 'Metallic Stallion,' tells the story of a lover with intimacy issues. The album's title track 'reteaches' her how to love, and according to the artist, she 'had to reconsider' her approach to romance. 'A lot of us, I think, prioritize romantic love. And I've, by force, had to reconsider that,' she said. 'That's massively part of this album as well,' she shared, adding, 'I just really want it to have a positive impact. Otherwise, what's the point of doing anything?' PRINCESS OF POWER drops June 6 along with her fourth single, 'I <3 YOU.' Revealing Jeff Buckley Doc, ‘It's Never Over,' to Arrive This Summer
A new documentary, It's Never Over: Jeff Buckley, which examines the life of the late singer-songwriter, will open in movie theaters on Aug. 8. An HBO premiere will follow this winter. The film, by director Amy Berg (Phoenix Rising, West of Memphis), features never-before-seen footage from Buckley's archives. His mother, Mary Culbert, and former partners Rebecca Moore and Joan Wasser gave new interviews for the picture. It also includes commentary from Buckley's former bandmates, Michael Tighe and Parker Kindred, as well as singer-songwriters Ben Harper and Aimee Mann.
