Siege, Continued Displacement on 130th Day of Tulkarm aggression

Saba Yemena day ago

Occupied Quds - (Saba):
Israeli enemy forces continue their aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 130th consecutive day, and for the 117th day on the Nur Shams camp, amid a tight siege and ongoing attacks against residents.
The Tulkarm Media Committee said in a statement that the Israeli enemy continues to impose a tight siege on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. Its forces are deployed in the alleys and neighborhoods, preventing residents from reaching their homes to check on them or retrieve their belongings, and firing directly at anyone who tries to approach.
The committee explained that the displaced families have called on the relevant authorities, specialists, and those responsible for the displacement file in the Tulkarm Governorate to assist them in coping with the ongoing displacement suffering that has lasted for more than four months.
She noted that the demolitions in recent days have affected 20 residential buildings in Nur Shams camp, as part of an Israeli plan to demolish 106 buildings in both camps (58 in Tulkarm camp and 48 in Nur Shams), with the aim of clearing roads and changing the geographical features of the camps.
The ongoing aggression has resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. It has also resulted in dozens of injuries and arrests, as well as widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles.
The escalation has led to the displacement of more than 4,200 families from the two camps, representing more than 25,000 citizens. At least 400 homes have been completely destroyed, and 2,573 homes have been partially damaged. Meanwhile, the entrances to the camps remain closed with barricades, transforming them into almost lifeless areas.

Iran: Raids on Beirut's suburbs blatant aggression against Lebanon's territorial integrity, sovereignty

Tehran – Saba: The Islamic Republic of Iran described the Israeli enemy's airstrikes on Lebanon as a "blatant aggression against Lebanon's territorial integrity and sovereignty." Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned the Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut on the eve of Eid al-Adha on Friday, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA. Baghaei pointed out that the Israeli entity's repeated attacks on Lebanon come amid the silence and inaction of the Security Council, emphasizing the direct responsibility of the United States and France as guarantors of the ceasefire between Lebanon and the Israeli entity. He emphasized that the Israeli entity cannot continue its blatant violations of the law and blatant breaches of the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law without a green light and American support. He stressed the need for the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in addressing the violations of the ceasefire agreement and the aggressive actions of the Zionist entity, calling on the Council to take practical measures in accordance with the duties assigned to it under the UN Charter. Baghaei considered that the continued rebellion of the Zionist entity in the region and its aggression against Lebanon and other Islamic countries further demonstrates that the only way to preserve the independence and national sovereignty of states is to strengthen their defensive capabilities and honorable resistance against the Israeli enemy.
