In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, Barun Sobti ended speculations about him playing the lead role in Tere Ho Jaayein Hum. During Behind the Success, a fan asked Barun if he is doing Tere Ho Jaayein Hum opposite Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Replying to this question, Barun denied these speculations and said, "No, I don't think so. No idea. Not that my manager think so I think (laughs)." He then refused, saying that he is not doing the show.

‘Male Mira Kapoor': Housefull 5 director draws flak for comparing babies to dogs in Deepika Padukone-Vanga row
Ever since news broke that Deepika Padukone turned down Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Prabhas-starrer Spirit, there has been a lot of conversation around the film industry being conducive to new working mothers, pay parity and more. Housefull 5 director Tarun Mansukhani thought he was speaking in support of Deepika's desire for an 8-hour work day when he said he'd also like to get home at a reasonable time to look after his dog. But the one that caught everyone's attention was that the actor wanted to work a strict 8-hour schedule, because she had daughter Dua, who is less than a year old, to look after. While initially there were reports of her 'unprofessionalism', the Hindi film industry soon rallied in support of her with Ajay Devgn and Mani Ratnam supporting her desire for reasonable work hours. When Housefull 5 director Tarun was asked about it in an interview with India Today, he was supportive of Deepika and said that there were always ways to work around tight working hours. He also stated that whatever demands the actor has need to be mentioned in a contract beforehand, instead of being brought up last minute. He also said, 'I want to go home and spend time with my dog. Housefull 5 Day 1 Worldwide Box Office: Akshay Kumar's madcap comedy takes a SOLID worldwide start of Rs 37.25 crore
Housefull 5 grossed Rs 26.50 crore (Rs 22 crore net) in India and Rs 10.75 crore (USD 1.25m) internationally for a worldwide opening day of Rs 37.25 crore. This is a robust opening day for the Akshay Kumar starrer, standing tall as one of the best in his career. The India opening can be classified as good while the overseas opening is very good. The India opening of Housefull 5 is pretty much on expected lines, in-fact slightly lower than we predicted. It is still good and it has given the movie the foundation to grow big over the weekend. The opening internationally, however, is significantly higher than expected and a weekend of over USD 4 million is locked. The global opening weekend shall be around or slightly under Rs 150 crore, setting the comedy up well for the days ahead.
