Scottish swimmer Duncan Scott says he is "as hungry as ever" as he aims to build on an already glittering career at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships.
Scott, 27, helped Great Britain win gold in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay and claimed silver in the men's 200m individual medley at last year's Paris Olympics, taking his overall Olympic medal tally to eight.
Despite becoming Scotland's most decorated Olympian, alongside a raft of other major championship medals, Scott is determined to further swell his silverware collection.
"I am the most decorated silver medallist at the Olympic games so I have had plenty of seconds and nearly moments and that comes with a lot of motivation in itself," Scott told BBC Scotland. "I am as hungry as ever.
"On one hand I have achieved a lot and I am really grateful for what I have been able to do. Over my career I have been able to achieve a really high level of success for a long period of time, but on the other side I have fallen short so many times.
"In some ways you can say it is a positive because it has kept me hungry for this entire time, it allows me to keep pushing.
"I find that quite exciting as well. There is so much that I still want to do and achieve in the sport and think that I am capable of doing that as well."

Scott, who is working under new coach Ben Higson, will be among the star attractions at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships which get under way on Tuesday.
Qualification places for this summer's World Championships in Singapore are up for grabs, although the pressure is off in that regard for Scott, who has been pre-selected for the 200m IM and the 4x200m freestyle relay events.
The Glasgow-born swimmer is getting back up to speed in the pool after taking three months off at the end of last year. It is a decision Scott believes can only benefit him, although he admits he did get "really out of shape" in his spell away from the sport.
"It's the first time I had taken that kind of break other than an enforced break during Covid, so it was just quite a nice time to just totally switch off," Scott explained.
"I probably still don't realise quite how good the break was. I would do it again but I probably wouldn't get as out of shape as I did, it was three months and I managed to get myself really out of shape pretty fast.
"I think a break after an Olympic cycle is really important not only for the physical side of it but mentally to either regroup, assess what you have done well, assess what you have not done well and also what you want achieve."

New Bruins coach Marco Sturm has seen the passion of Boston fans — from both sides
BOSTON (AP) — Marco Sturm got his first taste of the passionate Bruins fans when he was traded to Boston for No. 1 overall draft pick — and soon-to-be NHL MVP — Joe Thornton. 'I mean, it wasn't my fault, right?' the former Bruins forward told chuckling reporters on Tuesday at a news conference to introduce him as the team's coach. 'I got here, and it was difficult. I'm not going to lie. You read the paper or social media or even you go on the street, people will let you know, right? "But also it pushes you. And I saw it in the positive way," Sturm said. 'I've got such good memories here. And I know the fans, as soon as they feel that there's something good happening here, they will support you. I know that. It kind of goes the other way, too. But I don't want to talk about that. I want to look forward.' A three-time Olympian and first-round draft pick who played five of his 14 NHL seasons for the Bruins, Sturm led Germany to a silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics and spent the next six years in the Los Angeles Kings organization, the last three as head coach of its AHL affiliate. The 46-year-old former left wing replaces Joe Sacco, who finished the season as the interim coach after Jim Montgomery was fired in November. Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said that as the team tries to rebuild after missing the playoffs for the first time since 2016 it was important to have a coach 'who understands our fan base and values the same things — of being incredibly hard out each and every night.' Record-breaking viewership and attendance mark historic Women's College World Series
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Women's College World Series has set viewership and attendance records. ESPN said in a news release that the average of 1.3 million viewers across 15 games on its platforms was the most-watched World Series ever, surpassing the record set in 2021. Game 3 of the championship series, Texas' 10-4 win over Texas Tech for its first national title, was ESPN's most watched NCAA softball game ever with 2.4 million viewers. The previous high was 2.3 million for the 2007 Game 3 between Arizona and Tennessee. Games 1 and 2 both set championship series records with 2.1 million viewers each. Overall World Series viewership was up 24% from last year. Among non-championship games, the UCLA-Tennessee game on June 1 pulled in 2.2 million viewers with a peak of 3.9 million to deliver the best non-Finals WCWS game of all time. Tennessee's 5-4 win marked the best audience for a WCWS game in a decade. Oklahoma City's Devon Field, the site that will host softball at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, hosted the most-attended World Series ever dating back to the first one in 1982. In all, 119,778 fans attended, with a session average of 11,978. There were three session attendance records, including for the decisive Game 3 of the championship series. Session 4, which included Texas's 4-2 win over Oklahoma and Texas Tech's 3-1 victory over UCLA, set the record for any session with 12,595 fans. The numbers come on the heels of the new Athletes Unlimited Softball League's partnership with Major League Baseball. The attention was heightened for several reasons. Texas is the nation's second-largest state by population, and two teams from there played in the championship series. Texas and Texas Tech earned attention by beating Oklahoma, which had won four straight national titles. And Texas Tech pitcher NiJaree Canady, who signed a $1 million-plus NIL deal before the season and another during the World Series, got the Red Raiders to the final. ___
