Passengers protest over delayed Dubai flight

Express Tribune04-03-2025

Passengers of Dubai-bound flight of a private company on Tuesday lodged a protest cum sit-in at the Islamabad International Airport against what they called several hours delay in departure. Even after the aircraft finally arrived, the flight departed with much delay.
Flight PA 210 was scheduled to depart for Dubai on time in the morning. However, when around 200 passengers arrived at the airport, they were informed of the delay.
Despite the hours passing, passenger check-in and other procedures were not initiated. This led to a protest by the passengers, who loudly expressed their frustration with both the airline's management and the staff.
While the Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel tried to calm the passengers down, the airline staff remained conspicuously absent. As a result, the passengers resorted to staging a sit-in at the airport.
Eventually, after the aircraft arrived, the passengers finally breathed a sigh of relief, and the flight took off after an eight-hour delay. In an attempt to obtain the airline's statement, The Express Tribune reached out to the provided phone number, but despite repeated attempts, the call went unanswered.
