2025 Zurich Classic prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions
The PGA Tour heads to Louisiana for the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, a special team event on the schedule. Teams will be made up of 2 golfers and they will play 2 rounds of best ball and 2 rounds of alternate shot, with a 36-hole cut trimming the field. The first round from TPC Louisiana begins Thursday.
Below, we search for the best value prop bets for the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans from BetMGM Sportsbook's odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.
The team of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry headlines the field this week as they look to defend their title after winning in a playoff last year. Collin Morikawa and Kurt Kitayama are also among the favorites, as is the team of Thomas Detry and Robert MacIntyre.
TPC Louisiana will play at 7,425 yards as a par 72 this week, and despite there being water hazards throughout the course, it typically yields low scores in this event. The winners have finished between 20-under and 30-under par in each of the last 7 years.

Nicolai Hojgaard and Rasmus Hojgaard (+500)
Alex and Matt Fitzpatrick were pleasant surprises to everyone as a brother tandem last year, so why not the Hojgaard boys this year? They're both in good form and having solid seasons, and given their close relationship, they've likely played several two-man events as partners before.
Thomas Detry and Robert MacIntyre (+350)
MacIntyre finished 66th last week and missed the cut at the Masters, but he could get back on track this week with Detry as his partner for the second straight year. They tied for eighth last year and could be poised for an even better performance this season with some additional experience under their belts.
Zurich Classic – Top-10 picks
Karl Vilips and Michael Thorbjornsen (+350)
Vilips and Thorbjornsen were friends and teammates at Stanford, so they have experience playing together and should know each other's game well. That always helps, especially in alternate shot when the pressure is amplified.
Akshay Bhatia and Carson Young (+320)
Bhatia has been putting it well this year, which is a positive sign for his overall development. His ball-striking is always a strength, too. Young has been excellent off the tee this season, ranking 25th on tour in that category for strokes gained.
Zurich Classic – Top-20 picks
Joel Dahmen and Harry Higgs (+225)
Dahmen fell apart in the last 3 holes at the Corales Puntacana Championship, bogeying each one to lose by a single shot. He'll try to move past that massively disappointing finish in this team event where he made the cut last year with Keith Mitchell as his partner.
Aaron Rai and Sahith Theegala (-110)
These are simply 2 very good ball strikers who could be a legitimate contender come Sunday. Theegala can get a bit wild off the tee and he's not having an especially good season, but Rai's irons will give them plenty of makeable birdie looks.
Zurich Classic – First-round leader
Detry and MacIntyre (+2800)
You could go chalk with McIlroy and Lowry at +1100, but there's more value on Detry and MacIntyre in an event with such high variance.

Women's College World Series Game 3 draws highest audience ever for college softball game at 2.4M viewers
Friday's Game 3 of the Women's College World Series on ESPN drew the highest rating ever for a women's college softball game. Texas' 10-4 win over Texas Tech in a winner-take-all final drew an average audience of 2.4 million viewers, the network announced on Monday. The Game 3 rating continued a strong trend for the WCWS on TV. Featuring two programs pursuing their first national championship and the star appeal of Texas Tech pitcher (and $1 million NIL sensation) NiJaree Canady, Games 1 and 2 each drew 2.1 million viewers, the highest audience for the first two games of a Women's College World Series. Game 1's number was an 11% increase over the previous year, while Game 2 was up 5% from 2024. Both audiences were the fifth-largest for a women's softball broadcast across ESPN platforms. Advertisement The Longhorns won the national championship after splitting the first two games of the championship. Texas won the opener, 2-1, on a two-run single from Reese Atwood, hitting a pitch that Canady was trying to throw for an intentional walk. The Red Raiders evened the series with a 4-3 win in Game 2, capitalizing on a wild pitch and throwing error to score the key runs. In the decisive Game 3, Texas was ready for Canady in facing her for the third consecutive game. The Longhorns jumped out to a 5-0 lead with four straight singles and a three-run homer by Leighann Goode. Viewers continued to tune in even though a 10-0 Texas lead was close to invoking the NCAA mercy rule with a lead of eight or more runs after five innings. But Texas Tech scored three runs in the fifth to keep the game going. Advertisement Eventually, the game went the full seven innings with the Longhorns' Teagan Kavan pitching the entire game and winning Most Outstanding Player honors, leading Texas to its first women's softball national championship. ESPN will release viewership numbers for the entire Women's College World Series slate of broadcasts on Tuesday.
