Amazon shoppers stock up on Fairy laundry pods for 23p each
Shoppers say the Fairy Platinum Liquid Capsules are 'the best for sensitive skin' and are 'very effective on stubborn stains'
Re-buying laundry pods can soon start to add up, so nabbing a mega pack when it has been slashed in price is a smart idea. Amazon has dropped a limited time deal meaning shoppers can get 104 Fairy Non Bio Platinum Washing Liquid Capsules for £23.58 instead of £28.
This offer brings the price of each wash down to a little over 20p, keeping consumers covered for laundry rounds more than 100 times. Not only does this mean shoppers don't have to remember to add them to the supermarket shop, but the Amazon deal is currently cheaper than the Fairy capsules are at Sainsbury's, Savers and Ocado.
The Fairy Platinum Pods are dermatologically tested, awarded the Skin Health Alliance seal of approval for sensitive skin, plus this pack contains extra stain removal, ideal for stubborn grass stains from school, pesky summer barbeque ketchup marks and troublesome sun cream discolouration.
Described by customers as 'great value for money' and 'so much cheaper than at the supermarket', the Fairy Platinum Pods have been praised for 'even taking out stains on 30 degree cycle'. This helps preserve clothing colours, prevent shrinking and reduce energy consumption.
Those that prefer laundry liquid over capsules can shop the Boots Sensitive Skin Laundry Liquid 1 Litre Bundle for £14.40. Shoppers with sensitive skin say it is a 'lifesaver for me' and it 'knocks all rivals away'.
For a cheaper alternative, Dunelm stocks the Ecover 1.5 Litre Lavender and Sandalwood Non Bio Laundry Liquid for £10. It has been rated 4.7 out of five stars by 154 reviews, many saying the scent is 'relaxing and expensive smelling'.
Customers that use the Fairy pods have likened the scent to 'jasmine'. One person left a review that reads: "These washing capsules work great, leaving clothes feeling soft and smelling fresh. The fragrance is subtle and pleasant, with a nice hint of jasmine, and they're gentle on sensitive skin. I love how easy they are to use, with no mess or spills, and they leave my clothes feeling clean without irritating my skin. The 104 washes are a great value for the price!"
A second shopper highlighted the power of the stain removal, writing: "I absolutely love this stuff - I'm a laundry fiend (doing field based work in London means I change as soon as I'm home and clothes go in the laundry bin very quickly from outdoor germs) and these are by far my favourite.
"I've tried a number of laundry detergents and pods over the years and these actually help remove stains very well, thoroughly wash the clothes, and leave them with a non-overpowering scent that makes you feel like the clothes are clean but not overly synthetic in scent."
And someone else wrote: "Really happy with the cleaning of this product. Smells fresh, cleans stains well and all non-bio. Great softness for sensitive skin. Great value for money due to bargain XL size. Really effective cleaning product. Very happy and will purchase again."
Not everyone was keen on the scent and another customer explained: "Not the best of fragrances once washed won't be buying again." But, another person expressed delight, sharing: "Would never choose anything else for my sensitive skin this is my go-to washing powder."

At the heart of the expansion are four new fulfilment centres – including confirmed sites in Hull and Northampton – which will bring at least 4,000 new roles by 2026. (Photo:) | Getty Images The scale and spread of the spending signals a new chapter in Amazon's UK strategy – one that aligns with the government's 'levelling up' agenda and sends a strong message to global investors: Britain, post-Brexit and amid political change, is still a key destination for innovation and growth. "This is an excellent fan, it works exceptionally well to cool warm air. Levoit customer service is amazing." The nights can feel unbearably hot during summers in the UK, as our homes are built to keep the heat in, not out. But those struggling with the current hot weather may be in luck, as a top-rated silent tower fan is currently on a generous offer on Amazon. While the LEVOIT 25dB Silent Tower Fan usually retails at a steep £109.99, the gadget is currently 18 per cent off, slashing its price tag down to a more affordable £89.99. And with a 4.6 star rating out of a possible five, this fan is one of the best on the market. This 42-inch compact tower fan can cool an entire living space at speeds of up to 7.9m/s for all-day cooling comfort. With 12 speed options, it can adapt to different environments quickly and easily. The gadget's fan gears are meticulously designed for whisper-quiet operation, ensuring a noise level as low as 25dB, so there's no need to worry about it disrupting sleep. Speed and rotation can be easily controlled via the touch panel or the buttons on the remote control, which offers four modes (Auto/Turbo/Sleep/Normal). LEVOIT 25dB Silent Tower Fan £109.99 £89.99 Amazon Shop Product Description It also uses very little electricity, and its product description claims it uses half of the energy consumption of other models. The tower fan's wind direction can also be adjusted, allowing users to experience consistent horizontal airflow, with the option to adjust the direction up to 30° or down to 30°. Those browsing alternative tower fans may consider Argos' more affordable Bush White Tower Fan for just £30. Argos also offers the Dimplex DXMBCF Black Tower Fan, which is currently on offer from £85 down to £68. But the Amazon option has some glowing reviews. One happy shopper said: " The LEVOIT Tower Fan is an exceptional addition to any medium or large bedroom, standing at 42 inches and boasting a powerful airflow of 7.5m/s. "This fan is a true powerhouse, delivering impressive cooling capabilities while maintaining a whisper-quiet operation at just 25 dB, ensuring a peaceful environment for sleep or relaxation." Another said: "Great fan, had to buy a second one for my mum. The fan is quiet and powerful. I really like the auto function, where the fan manages the speed of the fan based on the room temp. Like other Levoit devices, well made and easy to use." Yet a less pleased shopper wrote: "Purchased in March - was working fine and was a good fan, however completely stopped working randomly and won't turn on now. Hasn't lasted long at all considering we only use it through the night." But another satisfied customer said: "This is an excellent fan, it works exceptionally well to cool warm air. Levoit customer service is amazing." The Levoit fan can be purchased here. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
