Wichita Falls art show features local fashion, music, food, and vendors

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A local art show will showcase more than just paintings with Fashion of The Arts on April 27 at The Lab.
First Step hosts Walk a Mile in Her Shoes for awareness month
With local artists, musicians, models, and more, organizer Sparkle Champagne Mosely said you get a little of everything in one place.
'We're gonna bring the community something fun,' Mosley said. 'We're gonna do music, vendors, food and fun.'
The fashion show will be on April 27 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at The Lab in downtown Wichita Falls.
General admission tickets are $20.

They are scheduled to go to auction where they are expected to sell for over $1 million, according to a press release. The artifacts are from the passengers Isador and Ida Straus. One is a pocket watch recovered with Isador's body, and the other is a letter that Ida wrote aboard the Titanic. Department of Justice comments on Zakai Zeigler lawsuit As the Titanic sank, Ida reportedly gave up her place on a lifeboat to remain with her husband saying, 'As we have lived, so will we die, together.' The artifacts will be at the museum until December 5, according to the museum's website. They are scheduled to go to auction in the United Kingdom and are expected to sell for more than $1 million. Locals, tourists recall major Gatlinburg crash that injured seven 'We are profoundly moved to share these incredibly personal items belonging to Isador and Ida Straus,' said Paul Burns, Curator at Titanic Museum Attraction. 'To see the pocket watch Isador carried and the letter written by Ida on the Titanic offers an emotional and powerful link to their love story and the human cost of this tragedy. LAFARGEVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – Racing roared back over the weekend after the Memorial Day holiday across the north country. Theresa native Lance Willix picked up the victory over Watertown native Billy Dunn in the 25-lap 358-modified feature. Tyler Meeks, Derek Webb and Remington Hamm rounded out the top five. Mike Fowler collected the win in the 20-lap Sportsman division feature. Frank Sibley, Ryan Shanahan, Tyler Stevenson and Josh Reome finished out the top five. Jon Liberty (602 crate sprints), Michael Greenfield (thundercar) and Eymarah Bowman (limited sportsman) were also winners on Friday, May 31. Can-Am will be back in action on Friday, June 6 with the Pit Crew Showdown. Pits open at 4 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing beginning at 7 p.m. Evans Mills Raceway Park Rain continued to be a problem as Saturday's May 31 program was postponed. The Zeigler 67 race was pushed back until this weekend. June 6: Relay For Life at Evans Mills This weekend's scheduled card will be legends night with the pits opening at 3 p.m. Saturday.
