Biggest RV and camping show in New England returns this weekend

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield RV, Camping and Outdoor Show at the Eastern States Exposition was the place to be this weekend.
Campers and visitors from across the Northeast were touring and buying RVs and camping must-have items, and scoping out new campgrounds.
'A lot of campgrounds here so it is great to come here and people can see all the campgrounds that we have in New England,' said Mike Piela, Co-Chair of the Springfield RV, Camping and Outdoor Show. 'We have all of the New England states represented here.'

This show brings together more than 200 exhibitors and thousands of people from all over. It's the biggest camping and RV show in New England, making a return to the Eastern States Exposition for the 63rd year.
This show offers a wide variety of RV and camper options. Using these vehicles, you can kick back, watch your favorite shows, and chef it up in the kitchen, all on sale for about $48,000.
Co-Chair of the RV Show Beth Piela said this is a one of a kind experience.
'This is really exciting and it is super great to see the vendors and the public, all the different people come through, and it is just a great show,' Beth Piela said. 'We have so many vendors and have such great things with everyone.'
Lexi Roberts with Long View RV Superstores told 22News this is a unique show for visitors to shop around and explore various camping vehicles and trailers while they are on sale.
'They can just see what is out there and understand the camping lifestyle, and there is a lot of different options out there, families and couple campers,' Roberts said. 'So just seeing what is out there, knowing all the new features and everything like that.'
If you couldn't make it this weekend, the last day of the show is Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Springfield celebration shines light on local heroes, helping to make communities thrive Gas prices in Springfield have dropped to an average of $2.90/g, according to GasBuddy price reports after a survey of 257 stations in Springfield. The cheapest station in Springfield was priced at $2.69/g, and the most expensive station was $3.19/g. The highest price in the state was $3.69/g, a difference of $1.12/g. The national price of gasoline is averaging $3.07/g on Monday. The national average is down 5.2 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands at 32.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering more than 150,000 gas stations across the country.
