Jimmy Kimmel Roasts Trump for Sharing ‘Deranged' Theory Claiming Biden Is a Robot Clone: ‘This Is Deeply Nuts… if Your Dad Was Saying This, You'd Look for an Assisted Living Facility'
Jimmy Kimmel is roasting Donald Trump yet again, this time for the president's decision to share a 'deranged' conspiracy on his Truth Social profile that claims Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and was replaced with robot clones. The theory alleges that Democrats had no idea about Biden's real identity as a robot. 'This is a theory that claims President Biden was cloned and replaced by a robot which, first of all, aren't robots and clones two entirely different things?' Kimmel asked. 'Not in Trump's head they aren't. And secondly, I know Trump puts out this stuff as a smokescreen to hide the fact that he's about to cut $600 billion dollars from Medicaid, but this is so deeply nuts.' Kimmel continued. 'The president of the United States is spreading deranged stories about his predecessor being a robot… Hey, Republicans! Remember when you were very concerned about Joe might not have the mental acuity to be president? Come get your guy, because he thinks Biden was executed and replaced by a robotic clone.' Kimmel quipped that 'if anyone was replaced by a robotic clone, it's Melania, right?' But then he made a more serious point: 'I mean, if your dad was saying stuff like this, you'd start looking for an assisted living facility.' Trump's posted about the Biden conspiracy just a couple weeks after Biden went public with his prostate cancer diagnosis. Biden's team said that his diagnosis 'represents a more aggressive form' of cancer but that his case is 'hormone-sensitive,' which should make treatment easier. Biden and his family are 'reviewing treatment options with his physicians.' Watch Kimmel's full monologue in the video below. Which LGBTQ Non-Canon Ships Are The Best?
There are a lot of relationships in TV shows that I can't help but swoon over, and seeing their romances play out on screen just makes me get all giggly and be excited. However, for every canon couple, there are always the non-canon ones, aka the ones where two actors have such mesmerizing chemistry that fans end up shipping their characters, but they never actually get together onscreen. And, a lot of times, sadly, they are LGBTQ+–focused non-canon couples. And yes, platonic best friends do 100% exist — and those are some of my favorite relationships on TV too — but sometimes it's just undeniable the romantic chemistry. Like, Emma and Regina in Once Upon a Time. You know? So, in honor of Pride 2025, I want to know which queer non-canon ships keep you up at night and you love with your whole soul. Like, maybe you're like me, and Kara and Lena on Supergirl will always be the couple that SHOULD have happened, but just never did. Like, I think about them every day. Perhaps you're in the thick of the 9-1-1 fandom that wants Buck and Eddie's friendship to turn romantic because Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman have such electric chemistry, it would be the crime of the century if nothing romantically happens between them. Maybe you're a huge fan of Yellowjackets, namely, you cannot stop thinking about Jackie and Shauna. Like, Sophie Nélisse and Ella Purnell were so good together, and Jackie haunting the narrative is just exquisite. Heck, perhaps you want to throw it back to OG Tumblr days, where all you thought about was John and Sherlock on Sherlock, and the chemistry between Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. So, tell us which non-canon couples in a show or movie you adore and WHY in the comments or with the Google Form below, and you could be featured in a BuzzFeed Community post! Disney Layoffs Cut Across TV, Film, Corporate Finance Affecting Hundreds of Employees
Disney is swinging the axe again, laying off several hundred employees globally across multiple teams. The layoffs are being conducted Monday, affecting teams including those that handle marketing for both film and TV, publicity, casting and development as well as corporate financial operations, sources tell Variety. Disney is positioning the cuts as enhancing its ability to operate more efficiently. No teams are being eliminated with the job cuts. The cuts come just a few months after Disney laid off nearly 200 staffers across its TV and ABC News operations in March, after the company let go 75 across ABC News and local stations in October 2024. Last September, the company let go about 300 employees across multiple corporate departments, including HR, legal and finance in the U.S. And in July 2024, Disney pink-slipped about 140 employees in the television division, primarily affecting National Geographic, Freeform and locally owned TV stations. The layoffs over the past year appear to be more surgical than the major cost-cutting moves the company made in 2023 shortly after Disney chief Bob Iger returned as CEO. The Mouse House's rounds of layoffs two years ago ultimately cut more than 8,000 jobs (after initially targeting a reduction of 7,000). As of Sept. 28, 2024, Disney reported having approximately 233,000 employees, of which roughly 171,000 were employed in the U.S. That was up from a total headcount of 225,000 a year earlier. The latest Disney layoffs were first reported by Deadline.
