Four illegal Bangladeshi nationals detained at Agartala railway station
Agartala (Tripura) [India], June 8 (ANI): In a joint operation, the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP) along with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and Intelligence Branch apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals, including two children at the Agartala Railway Station on Saturday.
The accused were identified as Md Billal (47), Salma Begam (38), Md Naeem (8) and Md Ali (6).
According to official sources, the detained individuals entered India illegally from Bangladesh and had reached the railway station with the intent of boarding a train to travel to other states of the country.
The operation was conducted based on secret intelligence inputs received earlier in the day. During preliminary interrogation, the detainees revealed that they were planning to travel to Delhi.
Authorities have stated that all four will be produced before the Court on June 8 for further legal proceedings.
Security at key transit points like the Agartala Railway Station remains on high alert to prevent such illegal crossings and human trafficking attempts.
In the national capital, Police on Saturday initiated the process to deport 31 Bangladeshi nationals who were living illegally in the North West district of Delhi.
The deportation process began on Saturday after the individuals were brought to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in RK Puram, officials said.
Earlier this week, the North West District Police apprehended 18 Bangladeshi nationals who were found residing illegally in the city. The arrests were made during a special operation conducted on Tuesday by the Foreigner Cell unit in the Bharat Nagar police station area.
The operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs indicating that three families who had migrated from Haryana were now hiding in the Wazirpur JJ Colony, frequently changing locations to avoid detection. (ANI)

HYDERABAD: A 28-year-old private employee, Vurugonda Sai, died after accidentally falling between a moving train and the platform at Secunderabad Railway Station on Friday. Delhi Police bust interstate drug syndicate, seize 348 kg of ganja
New Delhi [India], June 8 (ANI): In a major crackdown, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Delhi Police has busted an interstate drug syndicate and seized 348.176 kilograms of Ganja, officials said. According to Apoorva Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police, ANTF, Crime Branch, Delhi, the seized contraband is valued at approximately Rs 1.75 crore in the international market. The drug was being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh to the Delhi-NCR region, concealed beneath a consignment of watermelons in a truck. Two individuals, identified as Intezar Malik and Rizwan, have been arrested in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway. In a separate operation earlier this week, the Delhi Police Crime Branch dismantled a network involved in the sale of counterfeit cancer medications and injections. Acting on a tip-off, police teams conducted coordinated raids on Wednesday at three locations--Laxmi Nagar, Budh Vihar, and Chandni Chowk--resulting in the arrest of six individuals. The accused were allegedly involved in the illegal sale of unlicensed cancer treatment drugs, including Opdivo, Pembrolizumab Injection, and Keytruda. The operation was carried out under the supervision of DCP Crime Vikram Singh, with ACP Yashpal Singh and Inspector Ashish Kumar Sharma leading the raids. Officials from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) also took part in the action. Both are residents of the Saharsa district in Bihar. Acting on precise intelligence, the police recovered a plastic sack containing over 4 kilograms of ganja from the duo. DCP West, Vichitra Veer, stated that the raid was conducted in accordance with legal procedures and investigations are underway. Minor girl dies after sexual assault in north east Delhi
A minor girl who was found unconscious after allegedly being sexually assaulted in north-east Delhi's Dayalpur area died at a hospital, police said on Saturday. The Dayalpur police station had received a call about the suspected sexual assault around 8:41 PM on Saturday, reported news agency ANI. When the police officers reached the spot mentioned in the complaint, they found that the girl's father had already rushed her to JPC Hospital for medical help. However, upon arrival, the doctors examined and declared her dead. According to a statement by local cops, 'Prima facie, the attending doctors at the hospital observed visible injuries on her face and alleged sexual assault.' Police said a case has been registered under sections 103(1), 66, and 13(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Crime and forensic science teams have been deployed to inspect the area where the incident is suspected to have taken place. Search operations are underway to identify and arrest the person responsible. In a separate case, police said two juveniles have been held in connection with the stabbing death of a 16-year-old boy in the Anand Parbat area of Delhi. Earlier this week, on Monday, police received a call about an injured and unconscious boy near Durga Mandir in Taliwalan Basti. Upon reaching the spot Officers reached the spot and rushed the boy to RML Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. An eyewitness informed the police that as he and the victim were walking home together, two unidentified boys suddenly came up from behind them. Without any warning, the attackers stabbed the victim. After carrying out the assault, the two boys immediately fled the scene. An FIR was registered under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Anand Parbat police station, and the investigation is ongoing.
