James Gunn revealed Superman's viral flying scene is not part of the upcoming movie.
Superman director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn revealed how the honest opinions of fans and movie buffs aren't always overlooked. It was after several clips and trailers of the highly anticipated movie, Superman, were released that social media users pointed towards a specific moment in one of the clips. It featured a flying David Corenswet, decked up in his on-screen Superman character's costume, which caught many eyes.
In a recent interview, James Gunn was asked about the moment in the Superman clip featuring David Corenswet's flight, which, according to many, was no less than a 'CG superimposed thing." To this, the Superman director admitted the clip 'kind of got by" him. Contrary to many other creatives like him in the field, Gunn explained that he was somewhat aware of the fan reactions to his works.
Further, Gunn, who is known to shoot extra footage for promotional content of the upcoming movie's release, responded, 'No, I don't think it was so much. It was a TV commercial, and it wasn't a finished visual effects shot."
'So the part of him flying, it was a photograph of his face and him flying," Gunn described the creative aspect shot being used in the clip, adding, 'It was a photograph of a drone flying in front of an actual background. So all the pieces were real, but it was incorporated in kind of a funky way."
Although he highlighted the techniques being applied to the shot, Gunn was personally not much impressed with the same, 'I didn't love the shot, so it's not even the shot that's in the movie," he clarified.
Further, opening up about his cinematic visions, he disclosed, 'Sometimes I'm pretty strict about when I'm going through a trailer and looking at each of the shots, but sometimes, the commercials, I forget to look at this closely. So that one kind of got by me."
Based on the DC Studios co-CEO's statements, it seems that the clip featuring David Corenswet's flight is reportedly a part of the extra content being shot for the trailers and others.
FYI: The moment referenced in the interview is when Corenswet takes off a flight at the last 4 seconds of the 30-second video that caught everyone's attention and became a part of a huge discussion on X.
The American superhero film based on the eponymous character Superman from DC Comics is set for a theatrical release by Warner Bros on July 11.

'My Wife's Way More Attracted To Me Now...', Jests Magnus Carlsen After Breaching 2900 Milestone

Last Updated: The 34-year-old became the first player to cross the milestone in the recently released freestyle chess rankings compiled by the Freestyle Chess Organisation. Norwegian GM Magnus Carlsen jested that his wife Ella Victoria finds him more attractive after he breached the elusive 2900 rating in freestyle chess. The 34-year-old became the first player to cross the milestone in the recently released freestyle chess rankings compiled by the Freestyle Chess Organisation. 'A new standard has been set," Carlsen said after the newly introduced rating system for the freestyle chess, also known as Fischer Chess or Chess960. 'My wife is way more attracted to me now that I've achieved 2900," the five-time World Champion joked. The couple tied the knot earlier in the year, and Victoria is often pictured accompanying her husband to his events. Carlsen sits atop the table with a rating of 2909, followed by American GM Hikaru Nakamura at 2818. Fabiano Caruana stands third with 2804 while Indian GM Praggnanandhaa fourth with 2773. Ian Nepomniachtchi comes in fifth followed by Vincent Keymer and Alireza Firouzja, as India Arjun Erigaisi is positioned 8th with 2758. Vidit Gujarati is place 16th in the table with compatriot Aravindh Chithambaram stands 22nd on the liust with 2707, while reigning World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju was placed 26th in the table with a rating of 2701. Carlsen clinched the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam title in Paris earlier in the year, and doubled down on his run with a historic win at Grenke Freestyle Chess Open 2025 as the Norwegian claimed 9 win out of as many matches, six of whom were Grandmasters. Carlsen has teased the idea of breaching the elusive rating earlier stating, 'The goal of breaking 2900 has mostly been about motivating myself to be in top shape when I play classical chess." 'I've put that goal on hold a bit, so instead I'll bring it back up if I get closer," the 34-year-old had said. First Published: June 20, 2025, 19:17 IST

'He Needs a Desperate Attempt': HasanAbi Calls Out Ethan Klein for Legal Move Against Streamers

Image via: Instagram/hasandpiker In a shocking twist, in retaliation for Ethan Klein's aforementioned move to sue three of Twitch's largest streamers Denims, Morgan 'Frogan,' and Kacey 'Kaceytron',political commentator and former War of AI participant Hasan 'HasanAbi' Piker declared Klein's lawsuit a 'last ditch attempt' meant to generate drama. This suit stems from the conviction that Hasan Piker, aka hasanabi, has unjustly violated YouTuber. The legal challenge: What's the problem? On June 19, 2025, H3 Podcast host Ethan Klein announced his intention to sue Denims, Frogan, and Kaceytron for copyrighting his content. In his first clip, Klein laid out an introduction to the lawsuit, arguing that the three streamers were illegally using his copyrighted videos on their sites. That suit got ugly when those streamers started directly reacting to Klein's video in their own live streams, something that Klein now alleges led to rampant copyright infringement. Klein's choice to pursue legal action has been the subject of widespread attention, in large part because the content at issue in this case including the discussions made between public figures that lead to the threat of legal action are typically public and occur in a public forum. As the host of one of YouTube's most popular and longest-running podcasts, Klein's decision to go to bat has inspired several days' worth of raging discourse about the YouTube creator community's ethical obligation to steer clear of this type of lawsuit. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? IC Markets Mendaftar Undo Hasanabi's Outrage: A 'Pathetic Stunt' For Drama' HasanAbi was the first to express his outrage at Klein's misconduct, seizing the lawsuit's condemnation the day the news of the lawsuit broke and going straight to his livestream to condemn the lawsuit. The Turkish-American streamer took full advantage of his opportunity to hammer Klein's proposal, calling it a blatant attempt to manufacture controversy. As HasanAbi reminds us, Klein's legal crusade is a collaborative squall of costly, hazardous balderdash that's quickly turning into a big-wave tsunami for the influencer/content creator space. "Now he needs a desperate attempt to grab onto f*king any sort of controversy and drama. I'm sure that me reacting to it actually playing into exactly what he wanted to do. But the reason why I wanted to talk about this is specifically so that you guys go and show support to Denims, Frogan, and Kaceytron because, obviously, he has a fk ton of money, and he's going to use the fk ton of money that he has to bully other content creators who don't have a f*k ton of money, and try to win some kind of public opinion battle. ' The move stands in a dismal contrast of further implications for content creators, especially micro-influencers who often lack the legal resources to present their own arguments against industry Goliaths. Nor will it pacify the Twitter mob. This is in large part due to the fact that many of HasanAbi's followers have taken to social media to defend the accused streamers, further inflaming the growing online conversation about whether content creators with huge platforms have any ethical responsibility to their audiences. Klein's lawsuit has not by any means slipped under the radar, as nearly a half million in the Twitch and YouTube communities have rallied to the cause of the three streamers. Ex-assistant to Sean 'Diddy' Combs says job included buying drugs, setting up sex parties

* Ex-assistant to Sean 'Diddy' Combs says job included buying drugs, setting up sex parties Brendan Paul testifies about hip-hop mogul's drug use * Paul says he bought Combs drugs but was not a 'drug mule' * Combs' defense says sexual activities were consensual By Luc Cohen NEW YORK, - Sean 'Diddy' Combs' former personal assistant testified on Friday at the hip-hop mogul's sex trafficking trial that he often bought drugs for his boss and set up hotel rooms for sex parties known as "wild king nights." Prosecutors hope the testimony by Brendan Paul, who worked for Combs from late 2022 through March 2024, will help them prove their racketeering conspiracy charge against Combs. Prosecutors say Combs used his businesses' resources to coerce women into ecstasy-fueled sexual performances with male sex workers. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to all five criminal counts. His lawyers call the sexual activity consensual. The Bad Boy Records founder, a former billionaire who elevated hip-hop in American culture, could face life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors are winding down their case after six weeks, with defense witnesses expected to testify next week. Paul, testifying under immunity from prosecutors, said he bought Combs about $4,200 of marijuana and hundreds of dollars of ketamine during his employment. Jurors saw a text message in which Paul asked Combs' security staff to be reimbursed for his drug purchases. They also saw a Feb. 14, 2024 text message in which Combs wrote "You get me zans," which Paul said was a request to procure Xanax without a prescription. Paul said Combs ultimately obtained Xanax elsewhere, and used cocaine and ecstasy in his presence. Under cross-examination by defense lawyer Brian Steel, Paul said procuring drugs was a minor part of his job, and he thought the drugs were solely for Combs' personal use. "You were not some drug mule?" Steel asked. "Absolutely not," Paul said. Paul also said that before three or four "wild king nights," he stocked hotel rooms with lubricant, baby oil, liquor and a Gucci pouch filled with hard drugs. When Combs was done, Paul said he would put on gloves and clean up to avoid being billed by hotels for damage. Paul said he was charged with cocaine possession after being arrested on March 25, 2024, at Miami-Opa Locka airport in Florida while traveling to the Bahamas with Combs and other staffers. He said he put the cocaine in his bag after finding it while cleaning Combs' room that day, but forgot about it and did not tell law enforcement where it came from. Asked by prosecutor Christy Slavik why he kept silent, Paul said, "Loyalty." Paul said the cocaine charge was dropped.
