RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have sent messages to King Abdullah II of Jordan congratulating him after he underwent a successful surgery.
In their separate messages, the King and the Crown Prince expressed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the Jordanian king's continued health and happiness.
King Abdullah was admitted earlier on Tuesday for an incisional hernia at Amman's King Hussein Medical City. He left the hospital after undergoing minor surgery, according to the Jordanian royal palace.

He noted that the integration of efforts among government agencies, private sector entities, and pilgrim affairs offices played a vital role in delivering a successful and seamless Hajj season. Al-Rabiah noted that the ministry has begun preparations for the next Hajj early by issuing the preliminary arrangements document, which allows pilgrim affairs offices to secure essential services in advance, ensuring operational stability and service quality. He stressed the importance of adhering to health eligibility regulations when registering pilgrims, per the requirements set by the Ministry of Health. The minister also announced that the Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition is scheduled for November and invited all local and international partners to take advantage of this global platform to showcase innovations and exchange expertise in order to continuously enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

Over 147,000 healthcare services provided to pilgrims until Saturday
Saudi Gazette report MINA — Saudi Arabia's integrated healthcare system has provided over 147,000 medical services to pilgrims from the start of this year's Hajj season on Dhul Qada 1, corresponding to April 29, until Saturday, Dhul Hijjah 11, corresponding to June 7. These services are part of the efforts to enhance service efficiency in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to safeguard pilgrims' health and facilitate safe and smooth rituals. Healthcare data revealed that over 80,603 pilgrims have benefited from primary healthcare centers, while emergency departments received 35,176 cases. Outpatient clinics attended to 7,541 patients, and hospitals admitted 5,619 cases, including 2,626 in intensive care. Additionally, 248 cardiac catheterizations and 18 open-heart surgeries were performed. The healthcare sector continues to intensify its efforts, utilizing advanced technologies and specialized personnel to create a supportive medical environment that enables pilgrims to complete their rituals with ease and tranquility.

During the meeting, Prince Saud received a summary of the Civil Defense's work in the holy sites, highlighting preventive measures, awareness initiatives, and operational strategies. The deputy emir also met with Public Health Authority CEO Dr. Abdullah Algwizani in Mina. During the meeting, Prince Saud had a detailed briefing on the authority's initiatives for the 2025 Hajj season, including an overview of the proactive role played by mobile units dedicated to disease containment, the implementation of field laboratory tests, and the strengthening of swift response efforts across the holy sites.
