The National News Agency reported that a confrontation occurred before noon today between an armored UNIFIL patrol and several local residents in Yater, in the Bint Jbeil district, following the patrol's entry into one of the town's neighborhoods.
The situation escalated to the point where UNIFIL soldiers brandished their weapons towards the residents. In response, a Lebanese Army unit was dispatched to the scene to resolve the incident in coordination with the UNIFIL liaison.
