Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, releases tomorrow. Sachin Tendulkar praised it.
With just one day left for the release of Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, the highly anticipated spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, fans' excitement has reached its peak. The trailer and songs have maintained the intrigue, and everyone eagerly awaits the family entertainer. Ahead of its release tomorrow, the film has received an early review from Aamir's close friend and cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulkar was seen sharing his review after watching Sitaare Zameen Par at a special screening held in Mumbai. After watching the film, he was heard saying, 'Film bahot achi lagi (film is very good). Ye movie aisi hai ke aap team sitaare ke saath haste ho rote ho movie main hi (this is such a film that you will laugh and cry through the film) and I have always said that sport has the power to teach us everything. Itne saare messages milte hai, (you get so many messages) it has the power to bring everyone together toh ye movie waisa he message deti hai. Main saare actors ko big thumbs up deta hu, bahot acha job kiya hai, (I give all the actors a big thumbs up, they have done a wonderful job) very well done and all the very best to you."
Not just the screening, Sachin was also a part of the musical night hosted by Aamir Khan at his house earlier this month. The Sitaare Zameen Par cast jumped with joy after seeing their favourite cricketer appear before their eyes.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan Productions introduces 10 emerging talents: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Directed by RS Prasanna, who previously directed the groundbreaking hit Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, now returns with Sitaare Zameen Par, the biggest collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions.
Produced under the Aamir Khan Productions banner, Sitaare Zameen Par features Aamir and Genelia in the lead roles, along with the 10 rising stars. Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics, while the music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with B Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka as co-producers. The film is set to release in theatres on June 20, 2025.

CBFC Directs Sitaare Zameen Par Makers to Include Quote by Modi Mentioning the Year 2047: Report

Film The suggestion to include Modi's quote is part of the five changes/suggestions to the film which the CBFC has directed the makers to incorporate. Videograb from the trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par. Photo: New Delhi: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has directed the makers of the Aamir Khan-starrer movie Sitaare Zameen Par to include a quote by Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioning the year 2047 in the opening disclaimer. The suggestion to include Modi's quote is part of the five changes/suggestions to the film which the CBFC has directed the makers to incorporate, reported Hindustan Times. The film was subsequently issued a U/A certification on June 17, which confirms that the modifications were done, with the Prime Minister's quote inserted after the film's opening disclaimer, which has also been changed as per the CBFC's directions. The newspaper reported that it was not immediately clear what the quote is about. The movie, which is set to release on June 20, stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, and tells the story of a basketball coach who teaches the sport to a team of intellectually disabled people as community service after the directions of a court. The other changes in the movie directed by CBFC were the replacement of the term 'business woman' with 'business person'; a 30-second disclaimer at the beginning of the film be replaced with a 26-second voice-over; a visual containing the word 'kamal' (lotus) be removed, along with its appearance in subtitles; and 'Michael Jackson' be replaced with 'Lovebirds' in the subtitles. In recent years, the CBFC has increasingly been suggesting cuts and modifications in movie scenes. In April this year, the CBFC had asked the makers of the film Phule to remove several caste-based terms, after objection from Brahmin outfits, resulting in the postponing of its release. The directive of CBFC included removing terms such as 'Mahar', 'Mang', 'Peshvai', and 'Manu's system of caste', with the censor board terming them as 'sensitive.' Ananth Mahadevan, the director of Phule had told The Wire that he didn't agree with the modifications suggested by the CBFC. Sitaare Zameen Par Advance Booking: Aamir Khan starrer sells 46,000 tickets in National Chains, looks at Rs 8 crore opening

Aamir Khan's much-awaited movie Sitaare Zameen Par is finally hitting cinemas in a couple of hours. The sports comedy drama, directed by RS Prasanna, recorded an average advance booking despite Khan's aggressive promotions. Sitaare Zameen Par sells 46,000 tickets in top national chains Bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par sold over 46,000 tickets in the top three national chains- PVR Inox and Cinepolis- for the opening day. Of this, a significant chunk of admissions were recorded at PVR Inox, while the remaining were sold at Cinepolis. It must be noted that these are estimated figures. As Sitaare Zameen Par is an Aamir Khan movie, the advance booking doesn't justify his stardom. However, one must note that the slice-of-life sports comedy genre is not much viable in the post-pandemic times, which means the fate of Sitaare Zameen Par will depend on its word-of-mouth. Sitaare Zameen Par targets Rs 8 crore opening Looking at the advance sales and buzz around the movie, the Aamir Khan starrer is expected to open with just Rs 8 crore net. It will be one of the lowest Aamir Khan openers in recent times. Though the film is marketed as a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, it couldn't strike a chord with the audience with its promotional assets. Nevertheless, if the movie succeeds in impressing the audience, Sitaare Zameen Par will see an instant boost in its collections. Though the movie might start on a low note, it has the potential to jump over the weekend and sail through a successful theatrical run. It will be interesting to see how the sports drama performs at the box office. The movie marks the return of Aamir Khan to the screens after Laal Singh Chaddha, which was a box office debacle.
