Newmarket workout key to Falmouth plans for Shes Perfect

The Charlie Fellowes-trained filly was first past the post in the French 1000 Guineas only to be demoted by the stewards in favour of runner-up Zarigana.
Since then she was a blatant non-stayer in the Prix de Diane over 10 furlongs and Fellowes is keen to see how she handles the undulations at HQ before committing her to next week's Group One.
'She's really good. She's going to work on the July course on Tuesday and depending on how that goes and her well-bring will determine whether or not we are going to the Falmouth on Friday week,' said Fellowes.
'If she doesn't we could sit tight and go for something like the Valiant at Ascot on King George day (July 26).
'If she works really well and handles the undulations then I think we might find it hard to resist Newmarket, but if we feel the track doesn't suit her then we might wait for Ascot.
'Ascot should suit her, although it is quite a stiff mile it is a drop down in grade and she wouldn't have a penalty. I'd say it's between those two.
'At the end of the day she's not a stakes winner so although she was first past the post in a French Guineas, which will be a big asset to her valuation if and when she is sold, it would be nice to make her a stakes winner.
'It would be good to get her head in front and give her a confidence booster, but if she works really well, Newmarket can be one of those tracks where if you get on a roll in front you can be hard to pin back so it's a track that interests me.
'She does handle soft ground so we've got that up our sleeve for the autumn, we've lots of nice options.'

Issame Charai discusses Hamza Igamane's Rangers future as he reveals chats with striker about next move amid Lille talk

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HAMZA IGAMANE's future at Rangers is up in the air after just 12 months in Scotland. The Moroccan striker joined Rangers in a deal worth just £1.7million last summer but could leave the club for more than 10 times that figure before the start of next season after Gers set the asking price at £15million. Sign up for the Rangers newsletter Sign up 2 Hamza Igamane looks set to leave Rangers Credit: PA 2 Issame Charai has spoken about the striker's future Credit: Willie Vass He's not short of options should he decide to leave the country in the coming weeks as he's on the radar of multiple clubs from across Europe, including Lille who are leading the race. SunSport understands the French side have stepped up their approach to sign the 23-year-old despite previous reports claiming they had "cooled" their interest after learning the Ibrox club's demands. The sale of Igamane and team-mate Dessers could free up around £20m for Russell Martin to rejuvenate his squad with ahead of the new season. It's believed the Moroccan hitman is keen on a move to France should Lille reach an agreement with Gers. But former Ibrox coach Issame Charai reckons the idea of leaving Ibrox this summer never crossed the forward's mind when they last spoke. Charai left his role in the Light Blues coaching staff this month to take over as manager of Westerlo. But while the 43-year-old was on his way out, he thought Igamane would still be at the club next season. Discussing the striker's future, he told the Daily Record: "Hamza, he has to make his own decision. We had a good chat before he left for the summer and I think he was planning to come back to Glasgow. He was happy there. 'So, I'm not sure how concrete that [talk about Lille] is. But I think also the club will have a price tag on his head. So I'm not sure about that. 'But it is something that he has to decide. Like I said, before I left Glasgow, he was actually very, very positive about his future at Rangers and felt that he could show more than he has shown.' Igamane scored 16 goals for Rangers last season - including his iconic late winner against Celtic at Parkhead in March. Four of those goals came in the Europa League as he found the net against Tottenham Hotspur and FCSB and bagged a brace in the 4-1 rout in Nice. Charai reckons the 23-year-old is only just getting started. He continued: 'I think you haven't seen all that Hamza has to offer. I think that Hamza can show much more. 'He still has a lot of potential to show much more. So, that's why I think if he stays one more year, he would achieve a higher level. 'But obviously, if there are clubs interested, that means that they see his ability, they see his quality to be important for those clubs in France or Spain or England or whatever, because there was a lot of interest for him. 'Like I said, if he would go, I believe 100 percent that wherever he goes, he will show good quality. Equally, I would say it would be very good for Rangers if he stays.' At 4-4 in the third set, it could have gone either way, and Boulter laughed: 'I didn't have any nerve and I was bricking it completely. I have played a lot of good stuff recently and let it slip. 'I just tried to fight and compete and hope she missed. I am thrilled. 'This court is the epitome of every British child's dreams of playing on and winning on. It's a dream come true. I saw the schedule and I was so excited. I felt like a little girl again.' Boulter's victory completed a nightmare day for tennis power couple "Tsitsidosa" - Badosa and boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas. Earlier in the day, Tsitispas retired down two sets to French qualifier Valentin Royer. The Greek called it a day trailing 6-3 6-2, having got the trainer out in the second set. Following his disappointing defeat, Tsitsipas revealed: "It's probably the most difficult situation that I've ever been faced with, because it's an ongoing issue that doesn't seem to be disappearing or fading off as much. Harriet Dart was knocked out of Wimbledon in the first round as she lost 3-6 6-3 7-5 to Dalma Galfi. Her Hungarian opponent was ranked 42 places above her, in 110th, so the favourite to win, but Dart was left disappointed by a defeat in which she had taken the first set 6-3 on Court 17. Dart, a wildcard, made only 47 per cent of her first serves throughout the match, with the 28-year-old unable to repeat her run to last year's Wimbledon third round.

Crystal Palace likely to be handed never-before-seen Uefa penalty if Lyon win appeal against relegation

EAGLES SIGHED Crystal Palace likely to be handed never-before-seen Uefa penalty if Lyon win appeal against relegation CRYSTAL PALACE face a unique penalty if Lyon win their appeal against relegation. The Eagles' Europa League place for winning the FA Cup is under threat due to Uefa's multi-club ownership rules. 4 Crystal Palace still hope they can compete in the Europa League Credit: Getty 4 John Textor's role in both Palace and Lyon is the big issue Credit: AFP John Textor is selling his 43 per cent share in Palace to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and also owns Lyon through his Eagle Football group. And if the French club are successful with their appeal, Palace are likely to be demoted to the Conference League. Eagles' chiefs have been in talks with Uefa's Club Financial Control Body to argue their case and expected a resolution this week. But Uefa have put their decision on ice awaiting an outcome from Lyon's appeal. READ MORE CRYSTAL PALACE NEWS CRYSTAL BALL Uefa POSTPONE decision on Crystal Palace's Europa League fate indefinitely The Eagles have argued that Textor had no effective control at Palace and that there were no links to Lyon. He has sold his stake at Selhurst Park and resigned his post in France amid the club's financial trouble, but Uefa are yet to make a decision. But that might not satisfy Uefa's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) as it's understood Textor did not give up his stake by the March 1 deadline. In a statement on Monday, Uefa said: "The CFCB First Chamber has decided to postpone its assessment of the multi-club ownership case involving Olympique Lyonnais and Crystal Palace. 4 The Eagles qualified for the Europa League by stunning Manchester City with a 1-0 FA Cup final victory at Wembley in May Credit: Getty BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK "This postponement relates to Olympique Lyonnais' compliance with the settlement agreement concluded with the CFCB First Chamber for its breach of the financial sustainability requirements. "As part of this settlement, Olympique Lyonnais agreed on an exclusion from the 2025/26 UEFA club competitions should the French authority (DNCG) confirm the club's relegation to Ligue 2. Crystal Palace could be KICKED OUT of Europa League before a ball is even kicked "Further details on this multi-club ownership case and this settlement agreement will be communicated in due course." Textor's issues at Lyon saw the seven-time French champions relegated to Ligue 2. The American responded to that punishment by resigning his position as president. Textor - who tried to buy Everton last year - explained his decision to go in a statement. He also confirmed his interest in buying another English club following the Palace sale. Textor said: 'On a personal level, I am truly looking forward to the reduction of my day-to-day management responsibilities in Europe, so I can focus on markets where we have the full freedom to run our football clubs…to invest, innovate, grow and compete. "I will focus on Botafogo, Daring Brussels and our next club in England.' Lyon have appealed against the relegation but will forfeit their place in Europe should they fail.
