Police hunting man wanted in connection with 'number of sex offences'

English cops are hunting for a man with links to Ayrshire who is wanted in connection with a number of alleged sex offences.
Gloucestershire Constabulary is appealing for help in locating Derek Johnson.
The 58-year-old is believed to have committed offences in Gloucestershire, Kent and potentially elsewhere in the UK, befriending vulnerable victims online before travelling to meet them in person.

He was previously arrested by Hertfordshire Police in February at Gloucestershire Constabulary's request, however, he failed to 'answer to bail'.
It is now believed Johnson could be anywhere in the UK. The force understands he has connections to Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, West Midlands, Devon, Yorkshire, Wales, Ayrshire, Northumbria, Northern Ireland and Kent.
Anyone who sees Johnson is urged not to approach him and to contact police.
A spokesperson said: "Anyone who sees Johnson or has any information about his whereabouts, is asked to report information online using the following form, quoting incident 324 of 3 March.
"You can also call 101 or, if you have seen him in the last few moments, please dial 999, using the same incident number.
"Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."

Officers responded to a call at the Economy Inn Hotel on Lamar just before 3:30 a.m. on May 31. Investigators said the victim was at the hotel due to a situation involving his sibling, who was being assaulted by her boyfriend. When the victim arrived, the suspect came out of the hotel and told him to leave. MPD: Man accused of beating sleeping man with tree limb The victim told officers that he told the suspect he was there to help his sister, and then the suspect threatened to shoot him. As the victim attempted to leave, he said the suspect fired his weapon and struck the victim's car. Police described the suspect as a man standing between 5'9″ and 6'2″, weighing approximately 220 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, a white t-shirt, black pants and red shoes. When deputies arrived at the home, they reportedly found a male and female deceased with "obvious signs of trauma." Authorities at the scene believed the two were shot.
