This film was blockbuster hit in 2005, starred Rani Mukerji, Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan was the first choice for male lead... film is....
In the glamorous world of cinema, a lot goes on behind the scenes to make a film work. Besides the many factors that can impact a film's success, casting is one of the most integral parts that can make or break it. Even with a good storyline, it's crucial to have the right actors who can bring it to life on screen and resonate with the audience. Imagine your favourite movie with a completely different cast and the absence of the co-stars chemistry that you hailed for. Wouldn't that change the entire film for you?'
One such similar tale happened with a blockbuster movie that came out 20 years ago. The lead actor of this movie wasn't the first choice of the filmmaker, however, it eventually went to another star and turned to give him massive fame and appreciation. The film we are talking about is none other than 'Bunty Aur Babli'. This Shaadi Ali's film featured Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji in lead. However, Abhishek Bachchan wasnt the first choice for the lead in fact, it was Actor Hritik Roshan who was intially chosen for the fllm and he even worked with Shaadi Ali on the script for a few months but then eventually didnt do it.
In an interview speaking about Bunty Aur Babli, Shaad Ali revealed: 'Hrithik was our first choice. We also worked with him on the script for a few months Rakesh ji really liked the scrpit and he wanted Hritik to sign it' however, Hritik Roshan had his reservation in potarying a role of a small town boy thats why he didnt take it further.
Even though Hritik didn't sign up for the film, he still made his contribution to the film. Shaad revealed that during the short span of their collaboration for this film, Hritik gave some creative inputs which helped in film's development. He suggested that Bunty's character should be superman, having a larger than life feel to him and that he shouldnt return to his normal life. Hence, in the end of the film, another scam surfaces keeping the character's con legacy alive.
At the end this film finally went to Abhishek Bachchan with Rani Mukerji in lead, who was the first and the last choice of filmmaker. Being one of the top hits of 2005, this year also starred Bachchan union for the song 'Kajra Re' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. This track still resonates with the audience and one of the top picks for wedding performances.
This film was a celebration of great character, strong performance and iconic numbers. It also speaks about how one star's film rejection can turn into another star's redemption.

When Abhishek Bachchan reflected on being compared to Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai: ‘It's never going to get easy..'

Abhishek Bachchan has lived much of his life in the spotlight, not just because of his own acting career, but also due to the family he belongs to. As the son of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan , and the husband of international icon Aishwarya Rai , Abhishek 's every move has been closely watched and often compared. But how does he really feel about constantly being measured against the towering achievements of his father and wife? In a past interview with CNBC-TV18, the 'Guru' actor had opened up about the long-standing comparisons and how he's learnt to deal with them, with grace, maturity, and a deep sense of pride in his family. 'If you are comparing me to the best...' Speaking honestly about how it feels to be compared time and again to his famous family members, the 'Dhoom' actor said, 'It's never going to get easy. But after 25 years of being asked the same question, I have become immune to it. If you are comparing me to my father, you are comparing me to the best. If you are comparing me to the best, somewhere I believe that maybe I am worthy of being considered among these great names. I look at it like that. ' Proud son, proud husband The 'Bunty Aur Babli' actor didn't shy away from talking about the people closest to him. With warmth and sincerity, he expressed his admiration for his family and their achievements. 'My parents are my parents, my family is my family, my wife is my wife, and I am immensely proud of them and their achievements and what they continue to do.' Learning from the best It's clear that the 'Manmarziyaan' actor has a deep admiration for his father's work ethic. Even at 82, Amitabh Bachchan continues to lead by example, something that fuels Abhishek's own dreams and determination. 'We are sitting here in a wonderful AC room in Mumbai, doing this interview, having a nice cup of coffee, and that 82-year-old (Amitabh Bachchan) is shooting for KBC from 7 in the morning. He's leading by example. I want to be like that. When I go to bed at night, all I think is that when I am 82, I want my daughter to be able to say that about me, 'Hey, my dad's 82 and he's still at it.'' Abhishek Bachchan also shared that everything he is today is because of his family, and he works for their honour, past, present, and future. He said he's proud of the name given by his grandfather but even prouder of the family surname. He hopes his daughter Aaradhya and future generations will value and carry forward the same belief system.
