Diddy's alleged 'drug mule' testifies employees moved like 'Seal Team 6', used cocaine to stay awake
Sean "Diddy" Combs' former assistant testified Friday about "intense" conditions while working for the disgraced music mogul.
Brendan Paul began working for the "Last Night" rapper in late 2022 up until March 25, 2024 – the day Combs' Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided as part of a human trafficking investigation.
Paul, a former Syracuse basketball player, claimed that Combs wanted his employees to move like "Seal Team 6," and his mission was to make sure Combs was always happy. Paul allegedly used Adderall and cocaine to stay awake while employed and would go long periods without sleeping – once for up to three days.
Paul was the fifth person to receive immunity in exchange for his testimony in Combs' federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
He told Christine Slavik of the U.S. Attorney's Office that Kristina "KK" Khorram, Combs' former chief of staff, "basically ran the enterprise" for the Bad Boy Records founder. Paul said he initially packed "a lot of joints" for Combs in the early days of his employment and would then travel ahead of Combs to "advance locations," he testified.
Paul claimed he was instructed to buy drugs for the "Victory" rapper and once purchased more than $4,000 worth of marijuana from a former assistant, Phillip Pines. He testified to purchasing drugs like ecstasy, cocaine and ketamine for his boss.
Paul became embroiled in Combs' legal drama in April 2024, after he was named in a lawsuit filed by Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones against the disgraced mogul. The music producer claimed Paul worked as a "mule" for Combs, procuring and distributing "drugs and guns." The former college basketball star was then charged with felony cocaine possession, which was later dropped.
Nearly six weeks after the trial began, prosecutors indicated they would rest their case by Friday. The rapper's legal team recently told Judge Arun Subramanian it will need between two and five days to present its case, a stark contrast to its initial request of up to two weeks with witnesses on the stand.
Combs was charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution in a federal indictment unsealed Sept. 17.

Miguel Merentiel and Rodrigo Battaglia gave Boca a 2-0 lead against Benfica in Miami, but Di Maria halved the deficit from the spot before Nicolas Otamendi's late leveller in the second half.

The Success of ‘M3GAN' Let ‘M3GAN 2.0' Go Even Campier
Horror fans had an idea M3GAN was going to lean into the goofy and surreal aspects of setting a killer doll loose in the world when the trailer showcasing the main character's slice-and-dice dance number dropped. And while the 2022 original was a hit, and contained the expected gore and body count, it caught on mostly for those campy elements: murderous robots can be a lot of fun, actually! M3GAN 2.0 is arriving next week, and star and producer Allison Williams explained to the Hollywood Reporter that the success of M3GAN—particularly relating to how much audiences embraced its tone—gave the team much more confidence to go further in M3GAN 2.0. 'We knew that the characters and the tone from the first movie worked, and that definitely gives you a little bit of confidence in terms of not problem solving for those things anymore,' she said. 'You're sort of beyond that, but we weren't sure about anything else, which is why we tried our very best to perfect all of the newer elements in the movie, including the fact that we were moving into the action genre. That was not even something that we had explicitly set out to do, but it just felt obvious to [director] Gerard [Johnstone, director of both M3GAN movies and screenwriter of M3GAN 2.0] that if there's a second doll, we are going to be in that genre now. So we let ourselves enjoy that experience.' Williams' character, Gemma, is the brainy inventor of M3GAN, and fight scenes are not her natural setting. However, as Williams teased, that's part of what makes M3GAN 2.0's comedy elements work so well. 'There's this meta humor to the idea of Gemma suddenly being in an action movie. It's ridiculous in a hopefully fun way, and we had a lot of fun finding the humor in the mere fact of it while it was happening. It's as unbelievable and as random a series of events for Gemma as it is for an audience watching the movie,' she said. To make it believable, Williams had to make sure Gemma seemed to be taking the ridiculous circumstances she finds herself in as seriously as possible. 'When I am in scenes with M3GAN … if I'm at all winking at this hilarious ride we're on and the camp of it all, it doesn't work anymore. So I was completely aware of the fact that the only successful version of this movie is one where we're all just fully committed to this world and its stakes, and the execution of all of that is everything,' she said. 'The characters themselves can't believe that they're finding this to be their milieu, and they're just going to make the best of it.' M3GAN 2.0 opens June 27.

Husband of Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew arrested for her murder for the second time
The husband of Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew has been arrested for first-degree murder in her death more than five years ago. This is the second time Barry Morphew has faced murder charges in connection to her homicide. Suzanne Morphew was reportedly last seen on Mother's Day May 10, 2020, when she went for a bike ride and never returned. Suzanne Morphew Suzanne Morphew/Facebook Suzanne Morphew left behind two teenage daughters and a husband, Barry Morphew, who was not only the prime suspect in her disappearance at the time but was also charged with her murder. Barry Morphew was arrested on May 5, 2021, for the first time on charges of murder after deliberation, tampering with physical evidence and attempting to influence a public servant. Less than a year later, in April 2022, a judge dismissed the case against Barry Morphew. TIMELINE: Suzanne Morphew case: Timeline of events in the death of the Colorado mother At the time, the 11th Judicial District Attorney, Linda Stanley, filed the motion to "dismiss without prejudice," which means that prosecutors could file charges against Barry Morphew at a later date. Since then, a disciplinary board has recommended Stanley be disbarred because of improper statements made to the media during the investigation, which they claim contributed to a change of venue for the trial. According to the CBI, Suzanne's remains were located during the course of a search in Moffat on Sept. 22, 2023, and those remains were positively identified just five days later as those of Suzanne Morphew by the El Paso County Coroner. Her death was determined to be a homicide of "undetermined means," and drugs typically used as tranquilizers for wildlife were detected in her remains. On Wednesday, the Twelfth Judicial District Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Barry Morphew with first-degree murder of his wife. He was taken into custody in Gilbert, Arizona, on Friday. The district attorney's office said it will seek to extradite Barry Morphew back to the San Luis Valley. "Federal, State and local law enforcement have never stopped working toward justice for Suzanne," said Twelfth Judicial District Attorney Anne Kelly in a statement. "The Twelfth Judicial District Attorney's Office stands in solidarity with Suzanne's family and the citizens of Chaffee and Saguache Counties in pursuing the Grand Jury's indictment." Investigators have not released details on why the case is now being prosecuted in the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney's Office when it was initially prosecuted in the 11th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
