Molly-Mae Hague's new pain as star 'feels torn' with Tommy Fury
Reality TV star-turned-businesswoman Molly-Mae Hague finds public interest in her 'overwhelming' since getting back with Tommy Fury earlier this year, according to a source
Molly-Mae Hague has never been shy when it comes to talking about navigating fame – from her roller-coaster relationship with Tommy Fury, to dealing with nasty trolls. But now, a source claims, she is struggling.
Since shooting to fame on Love Island in 2019, Molly-Mae has built a successful career as an influencer, entrepreneur and reality TV star. But, as she admitted in a recent vlog, it is not as easy as she makes it look – and she struggles with normal family outings, due to the sheer number of people wanting selfies or to talk to her and Tommy.
The source says, 'Molly-Mae has found herself at a bit of a crossroads. She's feeling torn as, on one hand, she's loving family life and the normality of that, but on the other hand, she really feels the pressure when they leave the house, because the attention they get is just unbelievable.
'They have no time for themselves, everyone wants a piece of them – she's instantly recognised. Everyone starts mobbing her and though she adores her fans, that can be really difficult to process.
'She knows it's the price of fame and she loves her career – but it's tough for her, and the attention right now is too much. It's putting pressure on her at a time when she wants to concentrate on getting back to how she and Tommy were at the beginning.'
Molly, who turned 26 on 26 May, is trying to focus on her relationship with Tommy after they rekindled their romance at the start of the year.
In her recent vlog, she spoke about the difficulties of family holidays as people were filming them while she was trying to enjoy her birthday with Tommy, 26, and their two-year-old daughter Bambi at Disneyland Paris.
Speaking to her YouTube viewers, Molly – who's previously admitted to battles with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of stardom – revealed, 'Obviously, when people see Tommy and I out at the minute it's a bit like, taboo, and so many people are filming on the sly.'
The former Love Island star said, 'At Disneyland, when I was with Bambi, it's quite hard to navigate that. When you have a toddler, you're out with your partner, and there's already a little bit of a new thing that you're back out together, and you're trying to navigate that, and then you can see people looking and staring and filming.
'It was my birthday as well, and it was just kind of tricky to figure out if we were having boundaries, or there weren't any boundaries.'
Molly shared a further insight into the difficulties of attempting a normal family day out recently as she revealed she tried to take Bambi to a local fair but had to turn back home on two occasions due to the sheer amount of public attention she received when she pulled up in her recognisable car.
The mum-of-one explained, 'We've tried to go for the last two days, but every time we tried it has been so insanely busy. My car has been swarmed with people, even before I got out. So I was like, 'Right, I don't think that was a good idea' but we are going to try again today.'
Molly resorted to going to the fair in her sister Zoe's car and wore a cap and sunglasses as a disguise, but remarked that their efforts were a 'big fat fail' because she was recognised as soon as she arrived.
Zoe asked Molly in the clip, 'How, though? How can people spot you with a hat and glasses on?'
Molly-Mae's profile was boosted after her Prime Video reality series Molly-Mae: Behind It All aired in January, and which has just been confirmed for a second series.
Since then, Molly has expressed huge gratitude to fans but admitted there were times when she wanted to 'run away'.
In a vlog from earlier in the year, the Maebe founder explained, 'I've had moments over the last six months of filming where I just wanted to run away from everything. I didn't feel like I had the strength, I didn't feel like I had the confidence to talk vulnerably.'
The first series followed Molly after she and boxer Tommy split last August, after five years together. It was later revealed the break-up was primarily due to Tommy's struggles with alcohol.
We saw Molly balance work with a new era of family life. But by the end of the series, Molly confirmed she and daughter Bambi were spending more time at Tommy's house, and that they were giving their relationship another go.
According to Prime Video, Molly-Mae will be taking on even more personal challenges in the second series. 'We'll see her pushing her boundaries and stepping into her power as a boss, while balancing motherhood and family relationships,' the streaming service revealed.

Danny Jones' wife makes first post including him since Maura Higgins kiss
Georgia has shared Danny on her social media for the first time since the scandal. Danny Jones' wife Georgia shared a tribute to her husband for the first time since he was pictured kissing Love Island star Maura Higgin. The 38-year-old, who shares seven-year-old son Cooper with McFly star Danny, 39, shared a sweet post to him on Instagram to mark Father's Day. After she posted a snap of her own dad, she then went on to post a cute photo of Cooper cuddling into his dad. She sweetly captioned the post: "For the Dads. Happy Father's Day." Georgia's post is the first that he's appeared on her social media page since he was papped kissing his I'm A Celebrity co-star Maura at a Brits after party back in March. Danny, who has been married to Georgia for over a decade, issued a grovelling public apology after the drunken smooch. In a statement on his Instagram Story, he said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately." He added to fans: "I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." Following the BRITs scandal, apparently, Georgia temporarily moved out of their family home. Insiders claimed that the whole situation was "embarrassing" for the mother-of-one, who married Danny back in 2014. Shortly after the kiss, a source claimed that while "they may still be married, they are not together and she is still working out what she wants to do." However, it's now believed Georgia is back in the family home in West London and has returned to host her podcast, Mum's The Word! with friend Kelsey Parker. A source told the Mirror in April: "Georgia is returning to face the music after weeks away. She took some time for herself after the incident blew up but now she's ready to talk." "This wasn't some grand gesture where she suddenly packed her bags and left. It was just a girlie few nights at a close pal's flat. Yes, she wanted some space, but she is home now, and while things are still fragile, they are trying to work things through," a separate source confirmed. Danny is said to be eager to work through things and get his marriage with Georgia back on track. "He has made it clear he will do anything to make it work. He loves Georgia and wants their marriage to get back on track," a source told The Sun. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

Meanwhile, the boys' one-on-one dates with the bombshells start playing on the big screen - with the villa girls again having a front row view. Away from the other boys, Harry tells bombshell Yasmin what he's looking for. He reveals: 'The main thing is ambition; someone that wants a family, I'm 30 and ready for it, I've got my s*** together.' Things become even more tense when Harry remarks about Shikira: 'Potentially there's unfinished business, I think she knows that as well, it's just not the right time. "She has pride, she's only 22 but she's ahead of her years and has a lot of self respect.' While Helena says: 'That was a dig saying she's got self respect.' Love Island fans called for 'misogynistic' star to be axed after slamming girl over threesome revelation Yasmin asks Harry: 'Are you open to getting to know other people or do you like what you've got with Helena?' But will Harry focus on his bond with Helena or has the newcomer turned his head? Viewers previously saw Helena admit that she had a threesome with two men. Outside of the villa, Harry told the other boys about this, saying: 'For me, with Helena, it's like, I don't know if she's just a good time girl. Like, as I know, the more I'm getting to know her, like… 'I'm having a good time, but I wanna have a long time. 'What I'm learning about her lifestyle, and like, what she does, like, she goes out a lot. We had the conversations - you were all there. She had a threesome. 'I don't think that really worries me. Because like, I can guarantee I've done worse, sort of thing. But I think it did surprise me a little bit. 'It's not I wanted to take a step back or anything. It was just more like, okay, I need to learn more, just to figure out what she's gonna really be like.' Back in the villa, Helena raged: 'F**k me. Oh, my dirty laundry, is it?' Harry continued: 'But if she's still there, if she's still in that phase of her life where it's like, she wants to have a good time, then it might not be the right time for me and her.' The conversation came just a day after the pair snuck off to the Hideaway together to spend the night. Helena also chose to recouple with Harry - despite him expressing an interest in Shikira still. Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 and ITVX.
