The Supcase MagFlip Stand is the Swiss Army Knife of MagSafe wallets — here's why
My search for the perfect MagSafe wallet continues, and the latest model I got my hands on gets very close to my ideal version. I thought the Snap Grip Wallet from OhSnap was impressive for allowing me to cram more cards into a MagSafe wallet than ever before, but the Supcase MagFlip Stand does better.
Everyone knows that I've stopped carrying a traditional wallet, choosing instead to use either a wallet case with my phone or the next best thing — a MagSafe one that attaches with a magnetic connection. Not only does the Supcase MagFlip Stand serve its purpose as a wallet, but it packages more utility than any other wallet I've tested.
In fact, it's ruined all the prior MagSafe wallets I've used and raises the bar. Here's why.
Not only can it easily hold five cards, but the Supcase MagFlip Stand can fold in such a way to double as a helpful stand for your iPhone. This MagSafe wallet also comes with an RFID card to block out any unauthorized scans.
The biggest reason why the Supcase MagFlip Stand is my new favorite MagSafe wallet is because of how many cards I can stow in it. While the company says it can hold up to five cards, I've actually exceeded that quota by stuffing seven cards — which is the most I've been able to store to date in any MagSafe wallet. This also includes the RFID card that I keep closest to the outside of the case to prevent unwanted scanning.
Even with all of these cards stored inside of the wallet, I can easily slide them out because it's still not tight on the inside. Plus, it helps that I can push the cards out from a small notch at the bottom. And since it features a MagSafe connection, I'm able to fasten it to the back of my iPhone.
It's for this reason why I've stopped using dedicated wallet phone cases, just because I can always remove the wallet if I want to store it separately.
I'll also say that the Supcase MagFlip Stand has more utility than most MagSafe wallets because of the way it's designed. With its folding design, I can tilt the case in such a way that it acts as a weighted base to allow me to watch videos and take FaceTime calls all hands-free.

I also like how the latch at the bottom of the case can fold out to act as a tripod for my iPhone as well, and it's these small details that make it unique among the dozens of MagSafe wallets I've tested.
Finally, I will say that the Supcase MagFlip is solidly built — consisting mostly of polycarbonate with a carbon fiber-like pattern all around it. For a MagSafe wallet, it's undeniably on the chunkier size due to its rugged design.
I know how some people would prefer a sleeker profile to keep the bulk with their phone as little as possible, but I think it's a necessary trade-off to allow it to store more cards. For now, it's what I'll be carrying when I leave the house.

iOS 26 is bringing some big Apple Intelligence upgrades — but will they be enough to justify an iPhone upgrade?
Getting an updated operating system can be like getting a brand new phone sometimes, especially if that update brings vital new features to your old device. And certainly, the recently previewed iOS 26 promises big changes, starting with an entirely new look for your iPhone. But as we've previously noted, not every advertised iOS 26 feature is going to reach every iPhone capable of running the software update. Several major additions depend on Apple Intelligence, meaning you'll need an iPhone 15 Pro or later to reap the full benefits of iOS 26. And that means anyone with an iPhone that's been out for two years or more will have to make a decision come the fall: Is it worth upgrading to a new iPhone capable of supporting all that iOS 26 has to offer. It's the same question iPhone owners had to ask themselves a year ago when Apple Intelligence first debuted as part of iOS 18. Certainly, the answer was a bit more clear cut back then. While Apple Intelligence introduced some promising new tools, there was no can't-miss feature, making it easier to hold on to your current iPhone if you weren't fully ready to upgrade. Will iOS 26 yield a different answer? It's hard to say at this point, as the software is only available as a developer beta. The iOS 26 public beta follows in July, and by then, we can get a better sense of what the new features bring to the table, including the ones that require Apple Intelligence support. Still, it doesn't hurt to start thinking about these things now, especially if you're on the fence about upgrading to a new model once the iPhone 17 arrives in a few months' time. With pricing up in the air, you're going to want time to prep — and potentially save — to cover the cost of an upgrade, should those iOS 26 changes requiring Apple Intelligence prove to be irresistible. I've been spending a little bit of time with the iOS 26 developer preview, though I've yet to install it on a test device that supports Apple Intelligence. Nevertheless, I have gotten a sense of which Apple Intelligence-powered additions to iOS 26 figure to be the most noteworthy — and the ones you're going to want to pay attention to as beta testing picks up steam this summer. As a quick reminder, here's a rundown of the iOS 26 features that require Apple Intelligence. To use these capabilities, you're going to want an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, any iPhone 16 model including the iPhone 16e, or one of the new models Apple introduces later this year. That's just a list of features where Apple Intelligence support is specified. There are other iOS 26 capabilities that may only work on the iPhone 15 or later. For example, iOS 26 Maps is adding a capability where on-device intelligence recognizes the routes you take regularly so that it can alert you to conditions like traffic — it's unclear if that requires Apple Intelligence support, but it sure sounds like it to me. A quick glance at this list tells me that not all of these features are going to swing the needle toward an iPhone upgrade. If the initial release of Genmoji didn't move you to get a new phone, I'm going to guess expanding the kinds of emoji you can generate with text prompts isn't going to up the ante. Other additions, like incorporating Apple Intelligence into Reminders, sound a bit more promising, but the basic functionality of that app will continue to work just fine on your older iPhone. To my eye, there are two potential Apple Intelligence additions in iOS 26 that could spark serious upgrade talk — Visual Intelligence and Live Translations. Visual Intelligence is already the best of the Apple Intelligence features in my book. It essentially turns your camera into a search engine of its own, as you can snap photos and then have Apple Intelligence scour the web for more information online. I particularly like that I can point my iPhone's camera at a restaurant's sign and have Visual Intelligence pull up information like the menu. I can also capture info from a flier to auto-populate a calendar entry. The iOS 26 update brings those capabilities to your iPhone's screen. Now you can take a screenshot and perform those same actions you would from capturing an image with your camera, including filling in calendar dates and times for an event mentioned in an email someone sent you. To put it another way, Visual Intelligence is already a very useful feature, and iOS 26 is expanding those uses. Live Translations is a bit more up in the air. Certainly, the concept is promising (and familiar to anyone who's spent time with a recent Pixel phone.) When you place a call to someone who speaks a different language than you do, Apple Intelligence will provide on-the-fly translations so that you can have a relatively seamless conversation. FaceTime conversations should work the same way, and if you text with someone who's using a different language in Messages, you'll get automatic translations of the messages you're sending out and receiving. The value of Live Translations will depend on how much you interact with people who speak a different language than you. Travelers and people who do a lot of cross-border business figure to reap the largest benefit. But whether or not Live Translation is worth the upgrade will depend on just how well the feature performs — and that's something we'll get a better idea about as more people use the beta. There's one other possibility would-be upgraders need to keep in mind — that there may be an Apple Intelligence addition in iOS 26 that Apple won't disclose until the iPhone 17 launch in the fall. The aforementioned Visual Intelligence started out life as an iPhone 16 exclusive before a subsequent iOS 18 update added iPhone 15 Pro compatibility. The nice thing about a summer-long beta process is it gives you a chance to see how new features perform and whether or not they get fine-tuned ahead of the arrival of new hardware in the fall. That's especially helpful with something like Apple Intelligence, which continues to be a work in progress. A lot of factors go into deciding whether to upgrade to a new phone or not — the status of your current model, whether the hardware itself makes compelling improvements and how much that new handset is going to run you. But Apple Intelligence features also figure to play a role in that decision, and the iOS 26 beta will give us some idea of how Apple's AI efforts are progressing.

I reviewed this $49 fitness tracker almost a year ago, and I'm still wearing it today — here's why
I love my Amazfit Band 7. Fitness tracker or smart watch, I don't mind what you call it. But the Band 7 is my favorite of the bunch — and not because it has an epically long battery life. Most of the best fitness trackers are pretty complex, with loads of smart features I know I'm never going to use. So, for me, the Band 7 is the perfect watch. It never lets me down, whether that's with sleep tracking or workout tracking. There's a reason the Amazfit Band 7 is our best cheap fitness tracker under $50. Because, well, it is. Some people need watches with orienteering OS maps or things like body temperature monitors. That's not to say I'd turn down a watch with those things, but for me? I don't need it. All I need is sleep tracking, activity tracking, step tracking, and some nice extras like the weather forecast and find my phone tools. And that's what the Band 7 can do. Not only is the Band 7 one of the cheapest fitness trackers I've ever seen, it's also the one I like the best. It's simple, it works, and it never kicks up a fuss. There's a reason I'm still wearing this fitness tracker a year later. You might not think that a $49 non-Apple fitness tracker could do the whole "Find my iPhone" song-and-dance, but the Amazfit Band 7 can. I only discovered this recently, when I'd misplaced my phone somewhere in my apartment. I could easily have opened Find My on my MacBook, but I suddenly saw something on my watch: a "Find device" button. I clicked it, and lo-and-behold, my phone started buzzing from across the room. So I was reunited with my phone without having to log in to my laptop. This is a major plus in my mind. While, no, its sole purpose is not to be a phone magnet, it was a nice surprise considering how simple this fitness tracker is. It also tracks my sleep nicely, counts my steps accurately enough and tracks my exercise. Here's a screenshot from the Zepp companion app. There's a lovely range of features in the app. But do not be fooled! You don't need the "Zepp Premium" subscription. I have not paid a penny extra and I'm more than happy with my watch's performance. Just use the fitness tracker at face-value (read: cheap) and you'll not be disappointed. As I mentioned earlier, I mostly use this for step tracking, sleep tracking, and exercise tracking. I don't think the GPS is massively effective, so I don't use it for distance tracking. My phone suits me fine there. Starting a workout is easy: simply tap the screen and select a workout from the mountain of options. The watch will even remember your most common workouts and put them at the top for the list for future reference. My watch now reads "Yoga" first, which is my most-used mode anyway. I use "Indoor fitness" for my weightlifting workouts, and obviously "Outdoor running" and "Outdoor cycling" for the respective activities. There's even workouts like dancing for when you're living it up at a festival and want to get your steps in. And the best part? Like, really? Its battery life is so long, I can't remember the last time I charged it. Maybe in early May? And I wear this thing like 80% of the time. I'm in awe of it, honestly. Where does that battery hide? This is probably the most important reason. Because the Amazfit Band 7 is so cheap, I don't feel any stress of anxiety when I wear it. Usually when I go outside wearing expensive tech, I'm on edge all day, worried someone will pinch $500 worth of tech off my wrist. But not the Band 7 — because it's literally $49. Although it's pretty basic, the Band 7 is everything I want in a smart watch. It tracks my steps, sleep, and workouts without kicking up a fuss. It has the best long battery life. And it's still on my wrist, ~45 weeks later.
