In medieval Europe, the flowers became symbols of love and royalty, often featured in heraldry and art.
And they have been cherished for their beauty, fragrance, and timeless appeal.
Roses are the most commonly known birth month flowers for June according to Bloom and Wild.
The beautiful flowers with delicate petals come in many colours, such as red, pink, white, and yellow.
The rose is also the national flower of England, the United States and the Maldives but they can be very costly.
Luckily, one popular supermarket is offering this stunning flower for a price that's difficult to beat.
Sainsbury's shoppers can now get their hands on a mini rose plant for just £3 and customers have been loving the bargain.
"Bought two of these for Mothers Day. One for me & my Daughter
its lovely," exclaimed one happy shopper.
Another added: "This is a beautiful rose perfect for a treat for Mother's Day and can be put outside once flowers have bloomed."
"Always try and buy these from Sainsbury's as they are great value and my friends love them as gifts," declared another.
Everyone can spot the pot plants - but you have 20-20 vision & high IQ if you can find five red roses in just 19 seconds
A fourth shopper said: "I bought this approx ten days ago. Adds joy to my kitchen and incredible value at £3."
While another said: "I bought this for my daughter-in-law and she is delighted with it."
Meanwhile, peony season has arrived and Aldi shoppers can now get their hands on fresh cut peonies for less than a fiver.
And another supermarket giant - Sainsbury's - sell a similar bouquet for £6.
Interesting Facts About Roses

Gen Z are turning to very old-fashioned favourite as modern food is too hard to cook
Nearly one in three cook classic dishes in the air fryer because it is easier and tastier BACK IN TIME Gen Z are turning to very old-fashioned favourite as modern food is too hard to cook Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) GENERATION Z are turning to old-fashioned faves like spam — because modern food is too tricky to cook. Classics including steak and kidney pie, tripe and liver and onions are also enjoying a resurgence. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Young people are now turning to old fashioned favourites like Spam Credit: Alamy One-third of the adults under 28 polled say modern dishes are too complicated to rustle up. Almost three in five often scoff canned Spam for convenience. One in ten even plate up spam fritters for their children. Spam was launched in 1937 by US food processing company Hormel and became popular during World War Two. Its main ingredients are pork shoulder and ham, and it became a part of popular culture through a Monty Python sketch which repeated its name many times — which led to it being used to refer to unsolicited emails. Spam was also parodied in the Python-based Spamalot musical. The food survey, meanwhile, also found that just over two in five Gen Z parents give their kids corned beef hash. Tripe and onions is served by 16 per cent. Nearly one in three cook classic dishes in the air fryer because it is easier and tastier, according to the survey of 2,000 Brits. By contrast, eight in ten over-60s — who grew up on food like tripe — now opt for the trendy breakfast treat avocado toast. Martin Senders of Philips, which commissioned the poll, said: 'It's great to see traditional dishes making a comeback.'

One person said: 'Thank you very much for your recommendations.' Everything you need to know about hair loss Marie Nieuwoudt, a Group Education Manager at CLOUD NINE told Fabulous everything you need to know regarding hair loss. What are the common causes of hair loss? Marie explained: "There are so many reasons why someone may face hair loss. "The number one reason is usually hormonal changes or underlying health conditions (like thyroid conditions), and stress of course also plays a big part in changes to your hair health. "But another very common day-to-day cause is excessive damage to your hair created by mistakes in your styling routines – and this a big one to be aware of for people who are regularly applying heat to their hair! "It's important to know the right temperature for your hair type when using styling tools, as this is essential in reducing unintentional heat damage. "I also see a lot of people facing hair loss resulting from hereditary conditions, which are passed down from generation to generation." What are the best hairstyles people should try to reduce their hair loss? According to Marie: "Less is more when it comes to hair loss! It's important to be gentle with your hair, so a low-maintenance style that limits pulling on your scalp will be your best option. "Putting your hair up in a tight ponytail or adding hair clips can cause stress points at the roots. "Instead, try leaving your hair down, or out. "You're not limited in your options, but it pays to be intentional with your hair styling. Using tools which limit damage to your hair is vital. "Discussing your concerns with a hairdresser or hair loss specialist is also a great way to find styles that suit your specific needs, whilst still making sure you look and feel your best." How long does it take for hair loss to stop? If you're itching to know when your hair will grow back, Marie confirmed: "Hair loss is a personal journey – and it's different for everyone, so it's very difficult to put exact timings on this process. "Every head of hair is unique, and so too is your hair loss experience. "As always, you can speak to a professional hairdresser or trichologist about your specific concerns and hair changes, and they'll be able to help you manage those expectations. "I can't emphasise enough how important it is to be kind to your hair. Most people treat their hair quite roughly, and this is something you definitely want to avoid when dealing with hair loss in particular. "Make sure you're choosing products and styling routines that you know are good for your hair, rather than causing additional damage." Another added: 'Great results!' A third commented: 'Yaayyy! Will definitely give these a try.' Rave reviews The Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo in particular has proved very popular with shoppers and has racked up an average rating of 4.4 out of five online. I bought this shampoo two days ago. Used twice so far and already see the difference Boots shopper 86% of reviewers would recommend the product and many even described it as the 'best shampoo'. One shopper penned: 'Worked fantastic, I've always struggled with dandruff and it's helped a lot and it's also helping my hair in general.' Hair loss tips We can lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, according to the NHS. It is not usually something to worry about, but occasional it can be a sign of a medical concern. These include illness, stress, cancer treatment, weight loss and iron deficiency. The NHS advises to book an appointment with your GP to see if you can get to the cause of it. Experts at American Academy of Dermatology Association also recommend to eat healthy, limit curling irons and only use them for special occasions. They also recommend using a gentle shampoo, and make use of leave-in conditioners. A second simply shared: 'Life saver as always.' Whilst someone else expressed: 'I bought this shampoo two days ago. Used twice so far and already see the difference.. "The front part is no longer flaky which is great.. so pleased with it.' Three camping tips from an expert David Scotland owns camping equipment retailer Outdoor World Direct and knows all about how to make a camping trip run smoothly. When visiting any campsite this summer it's important to make sure you're not making simple mistakes that could ruin your holiday. Check your tent David recommends putting your tent up a couple of weeks before you're due to travel to give you enough time to repair or replace any damaged parts. He told Sun Online Travel: 'You'd be surprised how many people turn up with broken tents." Test the ground Picking a good spot to pitch your tent is difficult, with lots of things to consider. One of those should be the condition of the ground you're putting your tent on top of, according to David. He said: 'Once you've found the perfect spot, test the ground with your pegs before you commit to camping there to make sure the ground is soft enough." Don't nap in your tent It may seem the perfect place for it, but a nap in a tent could end badly, if it's done at the wrong time of the day. David explained: "If the sun's shining and it's hot inside your tent - don't do it! "One of our friends nodded off in his tent during a heatwave at Glastonbury and ended up at the medical tent with heatstroke." Instead, he recommends finding some shade outside or somewhere well ventilated. 4 There are blow-up mattresses for the glampers Credit: Facebook/@Kerry Chubb 4 Inflatable chairs are just £12 Credit: Facebook/@Kerry Chubb
