'Priyanka is now an adult. Nobody can touch her. In the family too, we think her decisions are right. We have supported her since she was a child. She takes every decision with a clear mind,' Madhu shared.
She added, 'We never had a doubt that Priyanka is making a mistake.
She is not impulsive. She knows that the consequences are hers. It's a good thing that she got married to Nick. I am very happy about that.'
'Becoming a nani is the best promotion in life'
When asked how she feels about being a grandmother, Madhu lit up with joy: 'The best promotion in life is that — to become a nani. I love it.'

Madhu reflected on the unique role grandparents play in a child's life. 'Children need a little time to cheat — they need rule breakers. That's what grandparents are for,' she said with a smile.
She admitted that while parents set the rules, grandparents are often the ones who bend them — lovingly, of course.
'We maintain our boundaries. It's the parents' right to raise their child their way. I had my time to raise my children. Now, I'm just here to offer support, warmth and security.'

Discussing the bridge between traditional upbringing and modern parenting, Madhu said, 'It happens with the heart and the mind. The heart makes mistakes, the mind corrects them.'

She added, 'It's the cycle of life. If we do good, we get to be part of our grandchildren's lives. I'm just very glad they let me in.'
