Glasgow lottery winner hits back at body-shaming trolls
Olivia Love, 36, and her husband Kevin landed the National Lottery's Set For Life prize, securing a whopping £10,000 a month for an entire year—a total tax-free windfall of £120,000.
After her first instalment dropped into her bank account, Olivia didn't waste a moment celebrating. She indulged in her very own "Pretty Woman moment", going on a high-street shopping spree—including splashing £750 at Victoria's Secret.

The Glasgow Times reported in May that when the couple won, the win also gave Olivia the freedom to quit her supermarket job, hire a cleaner and a gardener, and start pursuing her dream career in wedding content creation.
Olivia said: 'We rarely buy anything for ourselves.
'Every penny usually goes on the kids, so it felt surreal to walk into shops and not worry about price tags.'
Since going public, Olivia has been sharing her experiences on TikTok. While many comments have been supportive, she's also faced cruel jabs about her appearance.
In a video, she said: "You see things like 'looks like she needs a PT', I'm assuming a personal trainer. Or when they say things like, 'my bro's only with her for the money'.
"And when they comment on the things that I've spent the money on. It's pretty soul-destroying to have this kind of bullying.
"Now I realise that I went public, so I'm kind of bringing this on myself. But I didn't realise that announcing a lottery win and trying to change our lives by using the money for good would end up with this.
"It's 2025, why are we still commenting on a woman's body?
"This is a happy time for my family. We're overjoyed, we're so unbelievably happy. And it has changed our lives for the better.
"But these people, with their jealousy and nastiness, are determined to bring me down. I've got a relatively thick skin; I've been through a lot of s**t. And I've done my best to come out the other side of it."
Despite the negativity, Olivia isn't letting the trolls win.
In a genius response to a body-shaming comment—'£750 in Victoria's Secret? For her? She'll look like a smoked ham in a thong'—Olivia posted a viral video wiping fake tears with £20 notes pulled from a Kleenex box, cheekily captioned: 'Cried all the way to the bank.'
The video struck a chord online, quickly racking up 30,000 views and a flood of praise:
One fan gushed: "This is brilliant!! Enjoy YOUR money, babe.
"People are just so jealous and hate seeing others happy and doing well. Congratulations to you all."
Another wrote: 'Love this reply! Sod the haters—enjoy your winnings."
A third added: 'This is such a good reaction. AHAHAHAHA.'
A fourth said: "It's showing their jealousy, enjoy every penny."

The Glasgow Times reported that Olivia and Kevin's incredible stroke of luck came on May 15, 2025, when they matched five main numbers in the Set For Life draw.
The winning numbers were 03, 27, 42, 45, 46, with the Life Ball 06.
Now with a new car in the driveway, no job stress, and a future filled with creative ambition, Olivia is determined to focus on her family and happiness—not internet trolls.

Lottery rules if no one wins tonight's £208m EuroMillions jackpot
The mammoth prize has rolled over in the UK after Tuesday's draw yielded no winners – here's what will happen if the same outcome occurs The UK could be in for a record-breaking lottery win tonight (June 13) - with an estimated £208m up for grabs in the EuroMillions. No one won the jackpot on Tuesday's (June 10) draw, meaning that the money has rolled over to tonight – and the stage is set for one person to make lottery history. Allwyn, the operator of the National Lottery, said that whoever wins tonight's jackpot if it is won would claim the largest prize ever awarded in the UK. But after Tuesday's game drew a blank, what if no winner emerges yet again? The EuroMillions jackpot is subject to a maximum limit of €250m, equivalent to £208m, and it will stay at this peak level for five draws unless someone scoops the top prize. If it remains unclaimed up until the draw slated for June 20, it then triggers a 'Must Be Won' scenario, meaning the fortune cascades down to the next tier of prize winners should no one match all five numbers and the two Lucky Stars. Adding to the excitement, this Friday will not just be about the immense jackpot but also about the additional EuroMillions Millionaire Maker event that promises 13 players in the UK a guaranteed £1m each. Furthermore, those participating with two or more lines online stand the chance to win one of 13 deluxe getaways to Thailand, reports Devon Live. Andy Carter, the senior winners' adviser for Allwyn, fuelled the anticipation, saying: "With 13 guaranteed new millionaires, and potentially the nation's biggest ever National Lottery winner, it's the perfect time to defy superstition and take a chance. The unluckiest day of the year might just become a day you'll never forget."

UK's biggest ever Euromillions draw making you richer than Adele could be won TONIGHT after huge rollover
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ONE lucky Brit could bag the UK's biggest ever Euromillions prize tonight. The mammoth money pot rolled over to Friday after Tuesday's EuroMillions draw had no winners. 3 If there is a sole jackpot winner, they will become richer than a number of A-list celebs Credit: Getty 3 The winner will surpass Adele's net worth Credit: AP As the prize money is now capped at £208 million, a "Must Be Won" draw will be triggered after the fifth draw, which will be on Friday, June 20. This means that the money will have to be given to someone that night. Players can therefore win the huge sum of cash, without matching all five numbers and two lucky stars. If no one matches the five numbers and two lucky stars, the fund will roll down to the next tier, meaning anyone who matches five numbers and one lucky star will share the £208 million sum. If no one is a winner in this tier, then players who have matched just the five main numbers will share the prize. The jackpot will keep moving down a tier, until there is a winner. If there is a sole jackpot winner, they will become richer than Adele and Dua Lipa. Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, said: "With 13 guaranteed new millionaires, and potentially the nation's biggest ever National Lottery winner, it's the perfect time to defy superstition and take a chance. "The unluckiest day of the year might just become a day you'll never forget." 'This Friday EuroMillions gets even bigger. EuroMillions jackpot winner Frances Connolly reveals surprising first item she bought with £114m jackpot 'Not only will we see the £208 million EuroMillions jackpot up for grabs – which would make the biggest-ever National Lottery winner – but there will also be an incredible 13 guaranteed UK millionaires made through EuroMillions Millionaire Maker. 'That's a not-so-unlucky Friday 13th for the lucky ticket-holders who end up bagging these life-changing prizes. 'Get your tickets early to ensure you'll be in with a chance of a massive life-changing win.' He added: 'The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped, so any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier, meaning that we could see multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star.' What is the UK's biggest lottery jackpot? Back in 2022, an anonymous UK ticket holder won £195million on the EuroMillions, making the current record holder for the prize. Just two months earlier, Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, bagged £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket for the draw on May 10. The UK's third biggest win came after an anonymous ticket-holder scooped the £177million jackpot on November 26 last year. It came after 11 millionaires were made on the National Lottery draw in just one week in 2024. One lucky Brit won a cool £33million with their Euromillions ticket. Another ticket, which was snagged in the UK, matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars. It came just weeks after two players from the same county scooped £1m each.

Full list of biggest EuroMillions wins ahead of tonight's £208,000,000 draw
Someone could become the UK's biggest ever lottery winner tonight after the EuroMillions jackpot rolled over yet again. It follows Tuesday's draw where nobody won the top prize, which in itself was a rollover after several draws where nobody matched all five numbers and the two lucky stars. The EuroMillions jackpot will no longer increase as it rolls over, meaning the top prize is sitting at a massive £208million. Several UK ticket holders have scooped staggering jackpots in the past, with some like Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester going public, while others decided to remain anonymous. Here, we take a look at the UK's 10 biggest wins since EuroMillions begun in 2004. As it stands, the biggest lottery win in the UK was in July 2022, when an anonymous ticket holder scooped £195,707,000. Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, scooped a then record-breaking £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket for the draw on May 10 2022. At the time, Joe was a communications sales engineer, and Jess ran a hairdressing salon with her sister. Joe saw they'd won when he woke early the next morning. He said: 'I saw how much and I didn't know what to do. 'I couldn't go back to sleep, I didn't want to wake Jess up so I just laid there for what seemed like forever. 'I spent some time searching for property with no budget limit, which was a novelty!' When the alarm finally rang, Joe turned to Jess and said: 'I've got a secret, I've got something to tell you.' A single-ticket holder, who chose to remain anonymous, won the £177,033,699 jackpot for the draw on November 26 2024. The winner became immediately wealthier than popstar Dua Lipa, who is worth an estimated £104 million, and Michael Buble, worth around £63 million. Another person who chose to remain anonymous scooped £171,815,297 in the September 23 2022 draw. At the time this was the country's third biggest National Lottery win. Or more accurately, an expert from the National Lottery has revealed what doesn't help you to win the jackpot. The Midlands is the luckiest region in the UK, as more than 1,000 people have become millionaires there since the National Lottery was launched in 1994. But hold your horses if you're considering packing your bags and moving, because as only about 5% of big winners share their news, their locations don't provide the full picture. Here are some other suspicions which don't impact your chances of winning: Buying a ticket in a shop rather than online Choosing 'overdue' numbers Only playing on a certain day How many other people have bought tickets Only playing when there's a lower jackpot Using the same set of 'lucky' numbers every time The fifth biggest winner of the National Lottery to date scooped £170 million in 2019 after matching all the numbers in a Must Be Won draw on October 8. Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, North Ayrshire, became the UK's biggest lottery winners the time after winning £162,653,000 on July 12 2011. Colin used £2.5 million of his fortune to invest in his beloved Patrick Thistle Football Club, which led to one of the stands at the stadium being named after him. The former TV camera man later acquired a 55% shareholding in the club, which was to be passed into the hands of the local community upon his death. The couple, who set up the Weir Charitable Trust in 2013 and donated £1 million to the Scottish independence referendum in 2014, divorced in 2019. They had been married 38 years. Colin died of sepsis and an acute kidney injury a few months later at the age of 71. Adrian and Gillian won £148,656,000 in a EuroMillions draw on August 10, 2012. The couple bought a Grade II-listed estate in Cambridgeshire, complete with cinema and billiards room, but it was sold in 2021, some years after the pair divorced. Gillian now has a conviction for threatening her ex-boyfriend, domestic abuse charity worker Gavin Innes, who she pushed and shouted at in 2017. She then married convicted fraudster Brian Deans, before ending their relationship, claiming he asked for more and more money after blowing the monthly allowance she gave him on cars, watches and trips with friends. Adrian, meanwhile, started a relationship with ex-horse groom Samantha Burbidge, a woman 16 years younger than him, in 2017. He also dated waitress Lisa Kemp, but she dumped him after discovering saucy messages sent to his ex Marta Jarosz. More Trending In 2019, Adrian said he ate 50 Cornish pasties delivered to his mansion each week to cope with his loneliness. One ticket holder got lucky with a Superdraw rollover jackpot of £123,458,008 on June 11 2019, and decided to remain anonymous. Another ticket holder scooped more than £122 million in April 2021, but didn't go public. And the 10th biggest lottery winner in the UK won their fortune in April 2018, and chose to remain anonymous.
