A pregnant reality TV star was shot dead while holding her toddler in her arms in a horrific street attack in Romania.
Teodora Marcu, 23, was shot four times while out walking with her young daughter and her cousin on the outskirts of Bucharest at around 7pm on Saturday night.
The young woman, who was 26 weeks pregnant at the time, was killed by former partner Robert Lupu, Antena 3 CNN reports.
The taxi driver from Onești, 49, was alleged to have shot Marcu with a pistol before shooting himself with another handgun hours later, judicial sources told Libertatea.
Witnesses told local media that Lupu had followed his former partner, approaching calmly before pulling out a weapon and shooting her from close range.
Marcu was taken to hospital, but doctors were unable to save her life.
The young woman rose to fame as a contestant on a Romanian version of 'Love Island' broadcast in 2022.
She had spoken out about her strained on-off relationship with Lupu and took out a protection order against him in 2021.
Teodora and partner Alex Marcu announced they were expecting a child only in April, despite doctors telling them she would not be able to conceive, A1 reports.
She would have given birth to a son.
Horrific surveillance footage showed a man dressed in black approaching the young group. It did not pick up the sound of gunfire.
A woman pulls the children away from scene before going back over to Marcu, the footage shows.
Bystanders tried to provide first aid, Adevarul reports.
Marcu had been at a children's party with her cousin and her children before the attack.
They left the party and went to buy ice cream together when the victim was reportedly shot four times in the chest and abdomen.
The suspect calmly left the scene. Police found Lupu at a residential complex nearby soon after.
He shot himself as officers surrounded him, local media reports.
Lupu, 26 years her senior, had met Marcu when she was 14, Libertatea reports.
Marcu had claimed that they broke up after she learned that his relationship with his ex-wife had not completely ended, according to Adevarul.
They reconciled and then continued dating for two years before parting ways.
But speaking on Season 6 of the Romanian 'Love Island', she had said that she had sought a protection order as 'he was always coming after us and it annoyed me'.
'Alex and I really got along very well, and to see him always after you...'
'They lived in terror for a long time,' a former contestant, who wished to remain anonymous, told Actualitate.net.
'He knew everything: where they lived, where Teodora went, what she did. He followed her step by step.'
'She found out she was pregnant when she was on the show. And when Robert, her ex, found out, he said he was coming and cutting her belly,' they added.
Her partner, Alex, was in Chisnau at the time of the shooting, A1 reports.
Lupu had written a book, titled 'The Life of a Ragman and His Analyses', about his obsession with Ms Marcu, Libertatea reports.
In the book, which went unpublished, he claimed she had cheated on him with Alex Marcu.
In the book he reportedly describes how he decided to 'do something crazy' and 'become a magician with proper documents' in a bid to win her back.
A police statement said that officers were called to the scene of the shooting at around 7:09pm on May 31.
They were told that 'on a street in a residential neighborhood, in the Ștefăneștii de Jos commune, a 23-year-old woman had been physically assaulted, by shooting, with a weapon, by a man'.
Police, joined by medics, immediately went to the scene and provided first aid.
Marcu was then taken to hospital, where she later died.
'Following the checks carried out, the man in question, aged 49, was identified and will be tracked down,' the statement read.
Police said: 'Two lethal firearms were found on the man, one of which he used to commit suicide.
'The two weapons were seized by specialists from the Weapons Service of the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate and we are still trying to determine their origin.'
The investigation into her alleged murder is ongoing.

Kourtney Kardashian breaks down in tears over daughter amid co-parenting war with ex Scott Disick

Kourtney Kardashian took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an emotional post with her 218 million followers. The 46-year-old reality television star — who recently enjoyed a trip to San Diego — uploaded a photo showing her in cheetah print pajamas with her hands over her eyes via the app's Stories feature. She wrote, 'me crying bc my baby girl is done with 6th grade (she's taking pic of me),' adding tearful and crying laughing emojis. The blurry, low-lit capture was taken by her only daughter, 12-year-old Penelope, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. In addition to the tween, Kardashian shares sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, with 42-year-old Scott. And in November 2023 Kourtney welcomed son Rocky with husband Travis Barker, whom she wed in 2022. Penelope is just over one month away from her 13th birthday — another moment that is sure to make her mom sentimental. Last year the youngster celebrated the special occasion by going on a three-day getaway bash with her friends. Taking to Instagram afterward, Kourtney posted photos from the soiree and wrote in the caption, '9 girls (and a baby), 2 moms (shoutout @natalie5382), 3 days of casual, perfectly slowed down beach days to celebrate my little lady. 'Toe rings, sound baths, night swims, painting bikini boxes, frozen bananas, mamma mia and lots of frank ocean forever.' In April Kourtney celebrated her birthday with sunset beach snaps taken by Penelope, whose nickname is P. The comments section was filled with birthday wishes for Kourtney — in addition to praise for Penelope's photography, with one person comparing her to renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. Kardashian and her ex are currently at odds over co-parenting their three children. At the center of their disagreement is the kids' education, as the POOSH founder wants them homeschooled while the real estate mogul does not. Kardashian recently appeared on sister Khloé Kardashian's Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, during which she discussed her approach to parenting. She opened up about not conforming and claimed her children want to be homeschooled. The comments infuriated Disick, 42, who found them 'irresponsible,' according to sources who spoke with 'Scott strongly disagrees with Kourtney's parenting style and finds her comments irresponsible,' one insider dished, adding that the New York native 'values hard work and sees school as essential and would never allow his kids to not attend.' Kourtney started her bachelor's degree at Southern Methodist University in Texas before transferring and graduating from University of Arizona. Scott, who 'feels Kourtney has changed,' will have his children homeschooled 'over his dead body.' The father-of-three is also said to have issues with the influence of Kourtney's stepchildren. Since tying the knot with Travis in 2022, Kourtney made drastic updates to her home to accommodate her and husband's blended family. The Blink-182 drummer is dad to son Landon, 21, and daughter Alabama, 19, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, 50. He is also stepdad to Moakler's daughter Atiana De La Hoya, 25. On a season six episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney said that blending her and Travis' homes took 'a lot of adjusting.' Kardashian had previously shared that she finally moved in with Barker in a June 2024 episode of her family's TV series. 'Travis and I have really been taking our time with figuring out where it makes sense for us to live together because the kids are all so comfortable in their spaces,' the reality star explained at the time. 'It feels like we kind of figured out a plan for now.'

Harry Jowsey 'confirms' he's dating Lucy Hale! Too Hot To Handle star accidentally lets slip relationship news live on air

Australian reality TV bad boy Harry Jowsey has all but confirmed his relationship with Lucy Hale. The Too Hot To Handle star, 28, was reported to be in a 'super casual relationship' with the glamorous US actress, 35, by People and Us Weekly back in March. And on Wednesday, Harry let slip how his romance with the Pretty Little Liars alum began thanks to an AI-generated Instagram message. The unlikely pairing have kept their romance under wraps and it was not known how they met — until the reality TV star told the story live on-air during 2DayFM's Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma. Harry explained how he uses an AI tool to respond to direct messages sent from his 4.3million followers on the social media app. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I've got this AI thing that replies to my DMs. Meta has this thing you can turn on and it says the craziest stories,' he said. 'I DM'd this one girl and she responded. It replied right away. She was like "Oh, didn't realise I was talking to AI. I thought this was you". 'I said, "No, it is me! If you want me to respond just text me here's my number." And it worked!' Harry was caught off guard by a slippery question from Jimmy Smith: 'But you and Lucy Hale are good now. That's how you met, yeah?' Harry went dead silent after the 'gotcha' moment. His face turned an unmistakable bright red from embarrassment as the Queensland-born star struggled for words. 'Harry's not responding,' co-host Emma said to fill in the silence. 'That was very smooth, Jimmy.' 'Uh...' Harry trailed off, as all three hosts giggled at his awkwardness. He cleared his throat and laughed uncomfortably. 'You can blame the camera, but you going that red is a definitely yes,' Nath declared, with Emma chiming in, 'Aw he's literally covering his face.' Harry's candid reaction confirmed that insider reports about how the relationship started were on the money, or at least close to it. One anonymous source told Us Weekly the romance began after Harry messaged Lucy on social media. 'They are spending time together in [ New York City ], it's very new,' they said. The source added they 'hit it off' after bonding through their mutual commitment to sobriety. 'They are having fun, Harry is very into Lucy. Friends around them think they are very cute and a good, surprising match,' they revealed. Jimmy then eased off the question to let Harry off the hook. 'It doesn't matter what you say Harry because we'll use AI to agree,' he joked, with the Aussie Netflix star gulping and saying, 'Yeah, perfect.' Although the pair are yet to be publicly spotted together, Harry does follow Lucy on social media. Lucy recently marked three years of sobriety after previously admitting starring in Pretty Little Liars 'fuelled' her alcohol addiction. Meanwhile, In January Harry made a firm commitment to sobriety after revealing he used to get so drunk he would wet the bed. In January, the upbeat reality star shared a clip to Instagram in which he revealed he was switching to non-alcoholic drinks because he was sick of having accidents. In the past, he has been marred with controversy and was labelled a f*** boy while appearing on season two of Netflix's Perfect Match. Viewers expressed their outrage online and even petitioned for Harry to be banned from appearing in other dating shows, after he was busted in a scandalous lie about not kissing co-star Melinda Melrose while romantically linked with Jessica Vestal. Fans condemned Harry's use of emotional manipulation, especially involving Jessica's daughter, Autumn, whom he frequently mentioned wanting to be a role model for. Harry has also been linked to several other reality stars and influencers including ex-fiancé Francesca Farago and Georgia Hassarati. In an October 2021 episode of the BFFs podcast with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, Jowsey also said he had been romantically involved with transgender YouTuber Nikita Dragun and pledged his support for transgender women. He first rose to reality TV fame after starring in the inaugural season of Too Hot to Handle in 2020. Since then, he has started his own podcast titled Boyfriend Material, competed on Dancing With the Stars and even ventured onto OnlyFans.

Forgotten reality star who 'disappeared' for over a year reemerges to share shock news: 'I'm nervous'

Lana Jeavons-Fellows is expecting her first child. The former Bachelor Australia star, who was runner-up in the dating show's third season, has been on a social media hiatus since February 2024, however she broke her silence to share the exciting baby news. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the brunette beauty, 37, posted a video on of her and her longtime partner Jake Meah waiting for the result of a pregnancy test. 'You're nervous aren't you?' Jake asked Lana, who giggled and responded: 'Yeah, I'm nervous. Are you ready?' As Lana picked up the test, there was a brief silence before she asked Jake: 'What does that mean?' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I think that's pregnant,' he replied, pointing out the two lines on the test. The couple shared a sweet kiss before Lana said: 'I think I already knew anyway.' 'A new chapter begins,' the former reality star captioned the post. 'We are overjoyed and filled with excitement! #andbabymakesthree.' Lana looked radiant in the video, wearing a red and white patterned dress and her hair slicked back bun. The couple, who live in Sydney, have been together for sixteen years but have been keeping a very low profile of late. After finding fame on The Bachelor Australia in 2015, Lana became well-known for her various brand deals and aesthetic travel content on social media before she dropped off the radar over a year ago. She was famously blindsided and left heartbroken on the show after making it to the finale, only to be dumped by Sam Wood. Speaking to Channel Ten's Studio 10 back in 2015, Lana got emotional as she recounted the moment. When then-host Ita Buttrose asked if she saw it coming, Lana said 'no' - revealing she genuinely thought Sam would choose her. 'Of course I did (think it was me),' she said. 'I'm an optimist. 'I think in the moment I was really composed and I was really surprised when I watched it last night. 'It's actually harder to watch it than be in it. 'A lot of people anticipated I would be the girl in the end and it's been hard,' she continued, explaining she has 'been stuck in that moment' for four months after filming and now it's time to start 'moving forward'.
