Hindu community in Pakistan's Sindh protests against illegal occupation of temple land

Members of the Hindu community in Pakistan's Sindh province held a protest against the illegal occupation of six acres of land belonging to a historical temple in Hyderabad city.The protest took place on Sunday in the Tando Jam town of the Musa Khatiyan district, about 185 kilometres from Karachi "These people have already started illegal construction on the land belonging to the Shiv Temple Shivala in Musa Khatian," Hindu community leader Seetal Meghwar told the media.The protesters, including women and children, came out on the call of the Pakistan Dalit Ittehad (Pakistan Dravid Alliance), which fights for the welfare and rights of the Hindu community."The temple is sacred for us and these builders have started construction on the land surrounding the temple including a cremation ground for the community," another community leader Ram Sundar said.The protesters demanded immediate action from the government against the builders belonging to the influential Kashkheli community in Sindh The protest concluded with a demonstration in front of the Tando Jam Press Club following sit-ins at different spots in the town.The protesters said the builders had also blocked the access points to the Shiv temple, making it difficult for the community to hold its weekly prayer."Despite submitting written complaints to the police and district administration, no legal action has been taken. Due to the political influence of the land grabbers, the police are unwilling to remove the encroachments," said Shiva Kaachi, who heads the PDI.He warned that if the government and local authorities didn't take notice they would hold protests in Hyderabad city in the next phase and also approach the courts for justice.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: During his visit to Tuljapur in Dharashiv, BJP minister Nitesh Rane said Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray might face imprisonment in the coming monsoon period. Rane suggested that discussions about Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS merger are being circulated to deflect attention from ED's investigation of actor Dino Morea, whom he identified as Aaditya Thackeray's friend. "All details have arrived in the (Dino Morea) case, and (Sena-UBT chief) Uddhav Thackeray's son could soon experience a jail trip this monsoon," he said. The fisheries and ports minister emphasised on the connection between Aaditya Thackeray and Morea. The ED conducted searches at various sites, including Morea's Mumbai residence, investigating the Rs 65 crore Mithi river desilting scam. The agency has summoned Morea for questioning next week. "They hate the Hindu religion, criticise mega events like Maha Kumbh," he added. Leader of opposition in the state legislative council Ambadas Danve, however, dismissed Rane's statements, describing him as politically inexperienced and suggesting that even BJP members don't take his comments seriously. "Rane is known for talking nonsense, and there is no need to react to his remarks on Aditya Thackeray," he told TOI. At a subsequent party gathering in Dharashiv, Rane emphasised BJP's supremacy and its rightful claim to the chief minister's position. Berlin [Germany], June 8 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi has said that India's Armed Forces have given a befitting reply to those who have cast an evil eye on the country and that there will be a firm response to any terror attack. Priyanka Chaturvedi, who is a member of an all-party delegation visiting partner countries to highlight India's zero tolerance policy against terrorism, told members of the Indian diaspora in Germany that India gave a firm response to the Pahalgam terror attack through Operation Sindoor. 'Our armed forces gave a befitting reply to those who have time and again attacked our country . Our response has been mature, responsible,' she said. 'We are the land of Mahatma, we are the land of Buddha, but we are also the land of Krishna,' she added. She said the terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was targeted in Operation Sindoor. She said India was, in a way, carrying out the work of the UN, by targeting terror camps. Priyanka Chaturvedi also took a jibe at Pakistan getting a position to serve as vice-chair of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the United Nations. 'Do you know what responsibility they got? UBT flays Sena over Durgadi temple visit curbs on Eid
Kalyan: Members from both Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde and UBT factions held separate protests near Durgadi fort in Kalyan on Saturday. The fort houses religious sites for both Hindus and Muslims. During Bakr Eid, Muslim worshippers gather in large numbers to pray at the fort's Idgah section. Consequently, Hindu devotees are restricted from entering the Durga temple located at the fort's front to maintain peace. On Saturday, police prevented both Sena factions from crossing the barricades near the fort. The Sena UBT's up neta Vijay Salvi criticised Shiv Sena, noting that while the Ghanta Naad movement was initiated by Anand Dighe in 1982, with deputy CM Eknath Shinde leading it for many years, the state administration has now been restricting devotee entry despite his positions as CM and deputy CM showing duplicity on Hindutva."
