Viral Video Shows Chandigarh Food Stall Selling Veg Chilli Chicken, Confuses Internet

In India, food isn't just about flavour, it is also about identity. And one debate that refuses to cool down is the age-old clash between vegetarians and non-vegetarians. From dinner tables to social media threads, people across the country love to argue over what's healthier, tastier, or more authentically "Indian." Our culinary landscape has long been a melting pot of such heated conversations. The veg vs non-veg divide has sparked fresh discussions, with passionate voices on both sides. Now, cutting through the seriousness of the debate, a food vlogger's hilarious take on the issue has gone viral online. Shared on Instagram, the clip features vlogger Jonas at a food stall in Chandigarh that's serving up something called 'Veg Chilli Chicken'-- a dish that has left the internet scratching its head. In the video, Jonas says, "We are in Chandigarh and they've cracked this whole veg-non veg debate. Nowhere in India are they as innovative as here." Pointing to the stall's signboard, he adds, "Here, they have veg chilli chicken. Nowhere in India will you see this innovation, only in Chandigarh." Watch the video here: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jonas | Swedish Tourist (@iamjonasax) The clip soon went viral. A user commented, "Chicken identify as a vegetarian." Another joked, "The chicken was vegetarian, you misunderstood it." "Welcome to Chandigarh mate," a comment read. A user commented, "I saw a place in Mumbai selling Veg Hamburger." Another clarified, "It is really veg I have eaten it is made up of soya." Nowadays, vegan meat is becoming a popular alternative for people who want the taste of meat without actually eating animals. Made entirely from plants, this mock meat is crafted to look, feel, and taste like the real thing. It usually contains ingredients like soy or pea protein for that meaty texture, wheat gluten for chewiness, and sometimes even jackfruit or mushrooms for a fibrous, savoury bite. Legumes like lentils and chickpeas are added for protein, while veggies like beetroot give it a nice colour and juiciness. Oils like coconut or sunflower help with that fatty, juicy feel we associate with meat. To top it all off, a mix of spices and flavourings gives vegan meat its bold, meaty flavour, making it a solid choice for burgers, nuggets, kebabs, or even mince.

Sitaare Zameen Par audience reviews: Aamir Khan's film wins hearts with strong word-of-mouth - ‘A learning for all'

After a three-year hiatus from the big screen, Aamir Khan is finally ready to return to cinemas with Sitaare Zameen Par, which hits theatres on June 20. Directed by RS Prasanna and co-starring Genelia Deshmukh , the film is being positioned as a spiritual successor to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, this time spotlighting themes of inclusivity, empathy, and determination through the lens of sports. While a star-studded screening was held in Mumbai on Thursday evening, what's stood out is the positive buzz from a special public screening Aamir hosted a week before the release. Several early viewers have shared emotional and enthusiastic reactions, praising the film for its message and heart. Viewers call it 'a learning for all' One viewer described the film as powerful and educational, saying, 'It's a learning for all — not only for special children, but for everyone. It's a great movie. I think it's going to be a great success. I'd give it a 4.9.' Another audience member appreciated the emotional depth, especially the protagonist's conversations with a character named Kartar. 'There's a very beautiful message. The last scene was especially touching — when he says that special people feel more than we do. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5.' One excited viewer said they plan to rewatch it, 'Benchmark was literally here, but it went up. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo It's a family movie, very entertaining. I'm going to watch it again. I'd give it 4 stars.' Another viewer gave a dramatic reaction, saying, 'It was mind-blowing. Excellent. A great mix of comedy and emotion. I'll give it more than 10!' Sitaare Zameen Par day 1 box office estimates Despite Aamir's star power, trade analysts and theatre owners believe the film's performance will heavily rely on word-of-mouth. Early estimates suggest that Sitaare Zameen Par may open between Rs 11 to Rs 15 crore on its first day, a healthy number that could grow with strong weekend traction. Story and Cast Sitare Zameen Par features Aamir Khan as a basketball coach mentoring ten differently-abled individuals, each portrayed by newcomers. The film focuses on their journey of growth, empowerment, and acceptance through sport. The cast includes Genelia Deshmukh and specially-abled debutants Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The film is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish hit Campeones, which was later adapted into the Hollywood film Champions, starring Woody Harrelson.

'Sitaare Zameen Par' box office opening day analysis: The Aamir Khan starrer expected to open at Rs 7-8 crore; will it affect 'Housefull 5'? Trade experts discuss

Aamir Khan 's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has now released in theatres and while the trailer got a decent response, it's the positive word of mouth that shall play a huge role in the film's box office fate. While one may usually expect a big Aamir Khan starrer to open with big numbers, this one is slightly different. It's made for a different audience and will grow eventually if the public reviews are good. As per the advance booking report of the film till Thursday night, the movie had sold about 81931 tickets and collected Rs 2.5 crore in the advance bookings, according to Sacnilk. Talking about the expectations from the film on day 1, trade expert Taran Adarsh told ETimes, "I think the start is not going to be like the typical Aamir Khan starrer that we used to see in the past. I think the film will start slow, but will depend on the word of mouth. The start may be in single digits and if the word of mouth is very good, then I think it should cross the double digits on day one, but as of now, it's looking like a single digit opening." He added, "This is a word of mouth film. This is not a Dhoom or 'Ghajini' that will open with a bang. Now, as I said, it all depends on the public reports. I think Rs 7.5 to 8 crore is what we are looking at." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning... Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Click Here Undo Film trade expert Girish Wankhede said, "'Sitaara Zameen Par' doesn't look like a massive film. It looks typical, classy, elite film for the high-end, multiplex cutout. So, the way regular Aamir Khan films like PK, Dangal, performs, this one won't do that way. Secondly, it is not a huge release. Instead of marketing, they are more invested in showcasing the characters with various has not touched the masses. Third thing is, there are no great songs. So, my expectation of the very first day is around 7 to 8 crores, which is very less compared to all the Aamir Khan releases. If the word of mouth is stronger, then it can just go out of the roof on Friday and Sunday." Talking about the weekend numbers expected, in case the word of mouth is good, Wankhede adds, "At this moment, I can say that this film would not do more than 30-35 crores in the weekend, which is not a great number." Lesser screens for ' Housefull 5 ' At the moment, 'Housefull 5' starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh , Abhishek Bachchan among others is dominating at the box office. It collected Rs 2.75 crore on Thursday which was day 14. The second week collection of the movie is now Rs 40 crore. The total collection of the movie so far is Rs 168 crore. But with the release of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', the number of screens for 'Housefull 5' will reduce. Taran Adarsh says, "Yes, that is going to be less. But in single screens, I think this film Housefull 5 will still be there. But major shows in multiplexes will be 'Sitaare Zameen Par'." However, Wankhede feels that since the genres of both are different, it won't get affected. "Moreover, 'Housefull 5' is already beginning to steam out," he said. If 'Sitaare Zameen Par' gets positive word of mouth, the film will have the entire week to find a place for itself at the box office. On June 27, Kajol starrer mythological thriller 'Maa' releases on screen which will give competition to 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.
