Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: When Dilip Joshi Opened Up About Show's Quality, Said 'I Agree...'
Dilip Joshi acknowledged fans' concerns about the show's quality, admitting that writing daily comedy is challenging.
In recent times, several loyal fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have argued that the show is losing its charm. But do you know that Dilip Joshi also reacted to a social media user once who claimed that the quality of Asit Kumarr Modi's show is degrading?
As reported by ETimes, Dilip Joshi, who plays the role of Jethalal in TMKOC, once shared a long note while reacting to a user who claimed that the show is no longer as fun as it used to be. Joshi explained that writing comedy isn't easy and admitted that with quantity, quality is always compromised.
'It has been 12 years, writers are also now, see normally what happens when you go for quantity then the quality shall suffer for sure. Earlier, we used to do weekly, so they would write 4 episodes and the rest was to shoot next month. So they had the whole month to write and churn out new episodes. But now, it has become more like a factory and they have to keep giving new episodes and ideas on a daily basis. So I agree, all episodes cannot be great at that level when you are doing a daily soap for such a long time. Somewhere I do feel that certain episodes are not up to the mark as far as the humour is concerned," he said.
'As an actor, even we feel that when we have the scene in our hands and see that there aren't any punches then all of us try and work it out. We try to bring out humour by doing different movements or adding something that would make something funny for the episode," the actor added.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running successfully for 16 years now. However, in these years, several actors have also left the show. Among others, Disha Vakani, Jheel Mehta, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat, Palak Sindhwani, Gurucharan Singh Sodhi and Neha Mehta are no longer a part of TMKOC.

Last Updated: Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen tied the knot in 2019 and became parents to a baby girl in 2021. The couple finalised their divorce in 2023. Even after getting divorced, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen share a cordial relationship. The two continue to co-parent their daughter Zaina and are often seen spending time together. However, the actress is also targeted repeatedly because of her frequent meetings with her ex-husband. In one of her recent YouTube vlogs, Charu Asopa opened up about facing criticism for meeting Rajeev. She mentioned that she decided to go on a vacation with Sushmita Sen's brother for their daughter's sake. 'You all are wise people, listen to two false interviews shouldn't change the truth. You can't follow someone blindly, haven't you all seen it? Aap logon ne toh mujhe bhi bola hai ki divorce ke baad itna kaise mil sakte ho. So why are you all questioning this? I don't have any problem, whenever he wants, he can come. He calls everyday, where is the problem?" she said. I don't care about it anymore. You can say what you want." Charu Asopa also hinted at Rajeev's previous comments on her character and stated, 'It is said that when a man can't defeat a woman, he questions her character. He tried everything, questioned my character and all. He tried it all, but I didn't bow to it. So now, I don't care at all, I am happy about my life with my daughter. Do whatever you can." Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen tied the knot in 2019 and became parents to a baby girl in 2021. The couple finalised their divorce in 2023. Their daughter, Zaina, lives with Charu.
