‘Concerned' gardai launch urgent search for young girl, 14, missing from Sligo since bank holiday as major appeal issued
GARDAI are urgently searching for a missing 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing from Co Sligo for two days.

Lily is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black leggings and carrying a cream handbag.
Gardai have urged anyone with any information to get in touch and aid in their search for the young teenager.

In a statement this morning, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardai are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 14-year-old Lily Reilly, who has been reported missing from Sligo town since 5th May 2025.
"Lily is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. When last seen, she was wearing a white shirt, black leggings and carrying a cream handbag.
"Gardai are concerned for Lily's wellbeing.
"Anyone with information on Lily's whereabouts is urged to contact Sligo Garda Station at 071 915 7000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."

Separately, gardai are searching for a 52-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in
Fatou Watters was last seen at her home in Artane on Monday morning, April 28.
She is described as approximately 5 foot 4 inches in height, of slim build with short, dark-brown hair and brown eyes.
When last seen, she was wearing light-green, traditional African dress with runners.

Fatou's family and gardai are "concerned" for her well-being.
In a statement this morning, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardai are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 52-year-old Fatou Watters, who was reported missing from her home in Artane, Dublin 5 on Thursday, 1st May 2025.
"Fatou was last seen at home on Monday morning, 28th April 2025."
Anyone who may have any information is asked to come forward.

The spokesperson added: "Gardai and Fatou's family are concerned for her well-being.
"Anyone with any information on Fatou's whereabouts is asked to contact Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."

Tearful scenes at funeral of 'kind-hearted' dad killed in e-scooter crash
There were tearful scenes today at the funeral of a tragic dad who died in a serious road traffic incident involving an e-scooter. Mourners gathered at Saint Josephs Church, Poppintree, Dublin to pay their respects to Jack Goss, who died from his injuries a day after the accident on Father's Day last Sunday. Jack was described as a "kind hearted dad" who brought so much joy and love to his family. Jack, from Poppintree in Ballymun, Dublin 9 was seriously injured on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15 following the horror collision on the Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin 11. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown but sadly passed away on Monday, June 16. In his death notice on it stated Jack is the 'beloved son of Michael and Helena and brother of Alex and Catherine, partner of Hannah and Daddy to Romee Rose.' His heartbroken family said in Jack's death notice that "He brought to their lives so much love, kindness and joy. "Jack's incredible spirit and big heart will forever be missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, loved ones and his community whom he loved. Jack's infectious spirit, fun and love touched so many. His legacy lives on in his precious baby girl and all who loved him." Mourners were invited to make donations in lieu of flowers to the local Aisling Project in Poppintree and Ballymun who educate and provide life skills to young people. Meanwhile, tributes continue to be paid to Jack with one mourner writing in the condolence section on "My heart broke to hear the awful news about Jack. He was so polite, kind and caring, an absolute credit to his parents, he will be sadly missed by so many."
