Mohamed Ramadan, Ahmed Dash Reunite in Film "Assad"

Yara Sameh
Ahmed Dash and Mohamed Ramadan are teaming up again on Mohamed Diab's historical action thriller film "Assad".
Maged El Kedwany, Khaled Elsawy, Razane Jammal, ‎and Aly Kassem are also on board to star.
Mohamed Diab directs from a script he co-wrote with Sherine Diab and Khaled Diab.
"Assad" is set in 1280 AD in the Mamluk era and features Ramadan portraying Ali bin Muhammad Al-Farsi, who is sold in the slave market and later leads the revolution against the Abbasid army.
It reunites Ramadan with Dash for the third time after working together on the 2023 TV series "
Gaafar El Omda
" and the 2020 TV series "
Al Prince
".
Ramadan previously said that the film took three years to prepare for, and because of it, he didn't make any new TV series due to the film's complexity and time frame.
"Assad" marks the actor's second foray into the historical genre, after starring in 2017's "The Treasure" and its follow-up, 2019's "The Treasure 2: Love and Destiny", both directed by Sherif Arafa.

Taylor Swift Buys Back Master Recordings

Rana Atef On Friday, Taylor Swift announced that she bought back the rights to her first six albums, ending a long-running battle over the ownership of her music. She announced the news on her official website. She posted: "All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me," adding, "I've been bursting into tears of joy... ever since I found out this is really happening." In June 2019, Swift's manager Scooter Braun bought Swift's former record label Big Machine and, with it, all of the songs from Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation. Swift had personal objections to the deal, blaming Braun for complicity in the "incessant, manipulative bullying" against her by Kanye West, one of his clients. Therefore, she re-recorded her previous albums to control their rights. She recorded and released 4 of the 6 albums: Fearless, Red, 1987, and Speak Now. Swift continued in her statements: "To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it," she added, thanking fans for their support. "I can't thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now. "I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away," she described. "But that's all in the past now." read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

BTS' J-Hope Announces New Solo Single, "Killin' It Girl" Ft. GloRilla: Here's When It Arrives

Yara Sameh J-hope is continuing to build up his next era. The BTS member and solo star announced that he will release his upcoming collaborative solo single, 'Killin' It Girl,' featuring rapper GloRilla on June 13. The song and video slated to drop the same day will serve as the follow-up to Hobi's March hit 'Sweet Dreams' and April's 'Mona Lisa,'. In a release announcing the track, it is described as a hip-hop song 'that captures the thrill of falling in love at first sight. Imbued with refreshing honesty, the lyrics depict an infatuation towards a confident and irresistible other.' With 'minimalistic' production, the solo effort promises to balance the K-pop superstar dancer/rapper's rhythmic rap cadence with an 'addictive' hook and Memphis MC GloRilla's 'unmistakable delivery and bold charisma.' In a recent Billboard cover story the 31-year-old said after his discharge from mandatory South Korean military service — the full group plans to reunite at some point this year when they have all finished their army hitches — he headed straight to the U.S. to work with American producers. ''Sweet Dreams'' featuring Miguel — an artist I've long respected — has a smooth, soulful vibe that feels deeply personal, ' he said. 'On the other hand, 'Mona Lisa' brings a hip-hop-driven performance energy. Both tracks are easy to connect with, yet they offer a glimpse into the broader, more evolved musical world I'm building. This is just the start — I have plenty more musical experiments in store.' In addition to the collab with GloRilla, j-hope will also release a solo version titled 'Killin' It Girl (Solo Version),' at the same time. Hobi is currently on his world Hope on the Stage tour, which is slated to hit the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on May 31 and wrap up on June 13 and 14 with two nights at the Goyang Sports Complex in Seoul, South Korea. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Egypt's Foreign Ministry Hands Over Recovered Artifacts from France to Tourism Ministry

Ali abo deshish The Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed a group of recovered Egyptian antiquities to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. These items, dating to the Late Period, were recently returned from France. The recovered objects include a limestone votive coffin, a limestone statue of a man, a wooden statue of the god Anubis in jackal form, two detached wooden hands from colored coffins, three rare royal-sealed papyrus scrolls, and a cylindrical container bearing hieroglyphic inscriptions. The Egyptian Embassy in Paris retrieved the pieces in cooperation with French authorities, after foiling an attempt to sell them illegally. Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty attended the handover ceremony held at the embassy in February. Egypt also joined the case as a civil plaintiff in French court proceedings, which ended with the conviction of the traffickers and a compensation ruling in Egypt's favor worth €23,000. This marks the third time in May that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has returned stolen artifacts to the Tourism Ministry. Earlier this month, 25 rare pieces were retrieved from the U.S. via the New York consulate, followed by 20 items recovered from Australia through Egyptian missions in Canberra and Sydney. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
